Did you not have trouble with the SR's?

Am I the only one who only died one time in the silent realms? It was in the Lanayru Province.

I SWEAR that I don't mean to brag, but just wanted to know if anyone else had little trouble. If it makes you feel better, I died a LOT in my last playthrough. Or failed...... No I'll stick with died.

EDIT: Of course this does NOT mean that didn't find them challenging.

I don't remember failing during first playthrough (...probably did though! lol),
but I purposely got hit to farm for dusk relics and random goddess plumes.

The collected tears, before getting hit by a guardian, do show up in the map so it's actually to your advantage for starting over the Trial.

I haven't died once in the Silent Realms.

But by saying that, I'm not saying that it was easy either.

Yeah, same here. I died maybe once or twice each Silent realm, but that's because I was just scouting. After that, I had no issues. I didn't find them terribly difficult really. >.> Most people that I've known who have trouble with them, however, mention that they just think the whole section is scary - which I haven't thought at all. Maybe it was because they couldn't use the sword and fight back that made it stressful for them? I dunno. I just know if there's one thing I'm good at, it's running away. XD

I only 'died' once in the last one.

But I did come VERY close in two others. In the desert one the last Tear I needed was right next to a sleeping guardian, on the other side of a ghost with a lantern. I decided "screw it" and ran through the light, woke up the guardian, grabbed the tear while ducking under the guardian's axe, and rolled off the edge. Relaxed. A second later, remembered I still needed to get to the circle to finish the damn thing, and had to run through quicksand to get to safety.

*Shiver* The other time was in Eldin. I got the last tear as far away from the circle as possible and had to gauntlet back.

I died a couple times in each, and in the last one I died because one Tear of Light was placed in probably the most inconvenient spot, in an area guarded by a few guardians, and sitting right next to another...

I died once in the last one, but that's it. Most people seem to think they're hard, but like Reily I've only really heard that it was scary from those that explain why, so I kinda think those that find it hard simply let the atmosphere get to them and never really give themselves a chance to survey their options. For me these are some of my favourite things to replay about the game, it's quite fun to analyze the geography and come up with new routes, and pull them off.

I passed the ones in Eldin and Lanayru on my first try, but I remember failing at the others, in Faron once because I was still learning what was going on and in Skyloft at least twice because that's legitimately the hardest one. Later on I've failed at each of them numerous times mostly because of experimenting, going out of my way getting some of the trickiest dusk relics or because of being fast instead of careful at the time trials.

Well, the only time I failed a Silent Realm was my first time in going through Eldin. After that I could do them without a hitch. Then I was goofing around and purposely getting hit. Yeah, I do a lot of silly stuff...

I died twice in the lanayru desert, this was for scouting. Alth0ugh when I was rushing them and trying to get the best time I did die a couple of times. If you take your time they are very simple.

I failed a few times in the first playthrough probably because I rushed things too much and didn't have enough of a good strategy.

Oh, you're not alone. I died quite a few times in the Silent Realms. Good thing the tears you got before dying were marked on the map.

Well the first one I did, I just failed epically I don't know how many times. I sort of gave up the game until I decided to try one more time, and I got it. The second one took two tries and the last one I got on the first try. I struggled though because I got so scared once everything went RED, but it was fun anyway

I think i died once because i went through this lake thing that woke the guard up.
