Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

I've has so many experiences in all of them. I'm stuck on Din's right now. FML.

My boyfriend was trying Din's realm and there was a point where he purposely fell into the waking water to piss me off and was running around forever being chased and had the music up loud and, oh god. I was freaking out.
I still haven't gotten past it >

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

The closest call I've had in the Silent realms in Skyward Sword? I'd have to say either Din's or the main area that they have (well...I DID get caught that time once, so...)

in Din's area, I can't remember the layout, but I remember that I had to get across one of the pits at some point and find a rope across. I had just ran out of time as I was crossing the rope, and I could see a flying guardian wielding his twin swords hovering towards me at a frighteningly fast pace while I was balancing on that rope. I fell, freaking me out even more as I attempted to keep moving and grab that final tear that I needed. I was just about to be hit with his swords when I grabbed the tear and everything returned to silence, nothing happening. I sat there, heart pounding, hands sweating as I held the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, staring at the screen. With a sigh and some loud contemplation of that moment to myself, I started back across, only to wake the watchers again and almost get caught on my way back.

The final area was perhaps the most nerve wracking. Getting myself into an area to find a tear, only to learn that one of the watchers was mysteriously lurking under the ground where I could not see him. I got caught AFTER I had grabbed the tear and made it a priority to find another one. The problem was that the last one was nowhere in sight. I had just found it and attempted to dash past a guardian only to have him hit me the back end of his swing. Dropping out of it, I realized that my perfect "no caught" record had been shattered. Angry, I went and gathered the hardest of the tears first, rather than saving them for last. Yet again, i was caught by the same watcher lurking under the ground but I managed to grab the last tear which was lurking in front of one of the guardians as it approached. Satisfied, I went on and felt triumphant, having cleared the final area.

I hope that this is somewhat what you were seeking. If not, then I apologize.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

Oh, my God, the Silent Realms? I was stuck at the second one for, like, two months, and the others almost caused me to pass out. I hadn't been aware I had been holding my breath in the first place.

The box/kart pushing bits were the toughest for me (particularly the karts surrounded by the fluctuating pools of water). Almost always got caught on those because I was too impatient to push the kart 2 or 3 times as the water went away.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

Faron Silent Realm - Good god, my final Tear that I had to collect was on the other side of the map, so I had to quickly get to the other side of the map, but once time ran out, good god, I had to outrun the guardians while getting that final Tear. I almost died!

Lanayru Silent Realm - Not many nerve wrecking experiences besides pushing the kart like the person said above. I almost got hit by a guardian, but was able to get the Tear just in time.

Din Silent Realm - Basically trying to find a different route to collect my last two tears. I felt that I was goner because the Guardians were chasing me, but I noticed there was a path that I hadn't taken and was able to easily outrun the guardians after that.

Skyloft Silent Realm - Basically just avoiding those Watchers. There were loads of them!

The Eldin Volcano part. I did not like. It freakin' drove me insane because the area was so large yet a pain to get through when the guardians were on my ass.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

The ONLY reaction I had when overcoming the Silent realms, is the 1st time I went there, my exact words were: Holy freaking-*Got chased then hit*DARN IT!!!!! (I was gonna say holy freaking crap!)
My friend (who are moms are so close were practically cousins) and i were texting and she said she always screamed when being chased. the kinda funny thing about it? Shes older than me.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

i hated the silent realms with a passion, after i cleared Dins i was like PHEWWWW, then my mate told me i could get a hylian shield, but i had to REDO the silent realms/ bosses, i went a little crazy , esp. with the bosses as they actually posed a challenge unlike TP (Died 3 times on scaldera, countless on Demise).

worst for me is OOT, forest temple, i was 9 when it first came out, and i remember standing still in a room tring to work out a puzzle (TWISTED corridor), then all of a sudden a wallmaster got me, im pretty sure i cried for an hour, even now whenever i see a wall master id rather run the attack it. like in spirit tracks with the keymasters and all that...

Huh? You didn't have to do the Silent Realm trials again to get the Hylian Shield
You only had to fight 8 bosses and Demise is never one of them even in Hero mode, unless of course you pick him first.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

I must have been the only person who liked the silent trials the music's all other worldly.. and relaxin.. well till the guards wake up but I liked running around from them too XD I'm just weird...

Oh one thing I wondered: why dose links spirit have a stamina bar? :/ if he's separated from his physical body he should be able to run around infinitely he has an "unbreakable" sprit after all according to legend. That’s just one thing that confused me.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

I don't know why, I had such a "HOLY CRAP!" moment when I was doing the Lanayru realm. There's a mine cart you have to push forward, but it's surrounded by Waking water that comes and goes pretty quickly. It was one of the last tears, and I was pushing the mine cart forward, but I didn't stop pushing quick enough and I woke up the guardians. I figured I was doomed to repeat again, so I just kept pushing until the guardian was basically on top of me, and I hopped onto the cart. It was extremely lucky that I was facing the right way and everything - and I got the tear! There were a lot of moments that seemed easy until my entire family comes into the room and starts yelling "GET IT GET IT! WATCH OUT! WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING THEM? THEY'RE COMING AT YOU!"

They're frickin' stressful. Everything in them makes it so intense. When I finish one, I have to stop because my heart is going bunny-rabbit quick and I've got those dastardly sweaty palms.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

I loved the Silent Realms, never got caught even once on them. Although I did have a couple stressful moments in Din's Silent Realm, but overall I loved them.

I always just made sure to grab one of those orbs that makes every tear send a signal up, memorize where they all were and run for the last one after marking them on the map.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

Mine was on the Skyloft silent realm. I had gotten 14 of 15 of the tears, and the last one was the one on the top of the lighthouse/tower thing. As I was climbing up, one of the stupid lantern ghost things saw me and started chasing me, and while I was on the ladder, it caught me and brought everything back to life! On the top of the tower, there is a guardian, so I thought I was screwed. The guardian gets near me, and while I'm on the ladder, it sorta glitches through the side of the tower and swings and looks like it should have hit me, but it doesn't count as a hit, and I manage to get the tear in time. Holy crap...

OMG

I am so happy to have found this thread. I thought it was just me being a wuss. I just recently got the game. i just beat the Silent Realm-Faron Woods. Admittedly, i had no troubles, but i almost didn't do it. i am NOT looking foreword to the Silent Realm-Eldin Volcano. It is such a big area! I actually have a couple of questions. If you can answer them, please do.

1. Do all tears in all silent realms give you 90 seconds?

2. How do you get the Hyrule shield?

3. Does any one else call Girahim Graham Cracker?

P.S. I'm surprised a jerk hasn't found this thread yet. Usually there is some jerk posting "all you guys are losers" "Wii sucks" "You guys suck for playing legend of zelda" Y'know? Crap like that.

Re: Nerve-wrecking Experiences in the Silent Realm

Hi jeabus519. Welcome to ZU. Unfortnuately this thread is quite old for further discussions, so I'll have to lock this.

However, I will answer your questions as best as I can:

1. Do all tears in all silent realms give you 90 seconds?
I can't remember exactly, but I think they do.

2. How do you get the Hyrule shield?
You will need to complete all of the Thunder Dragon's battles in a row up to the very end. If you manage to do this, he will grant you the Hylian Shield.

3. Does any one else call Girahim Graham Cracker?
Never heard that saying before, so I'll have to say no. His well-known nickname is Debbie though.
