I think it's probably harder on the GCN version, because the bow controls aren't that accurate, and are pretty slow.

Depends on the player's technique and taste.

I find it easier to deal with on the GC version than on the Wii, despite the controls being somewhat "slower".

But it means more accuracy.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

Its more awkward and aggrivating the difficult for me. Always something would stop my progress, but when I was done with it, I had no intentions to do anything like it ever again if possible. It was a good feeling to get the Zora prince to safety though, so I guess you could think of it as nothing satisfying should be very easy to do.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

Long story short: ragequit, came back about 7 months later, beat it on the first shot.
I thought it was pretty challenging yes, and I definitely enjoyed the whole part more after leaving it alone and then coming back to it.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

The first time, it was a bit more challenging than the others. I actually enjoyed it, as a harder part of the game. I do kinda wish it was harder for me though. Sometimes I hate being more of a natural than most at video games. But overall, I enjoyed it, as you had to have almost constant attention on what was going on. And it wasn't to hard once you figured it out anyway.

Oh I HATED that part of the game!! it wasn't so much that it was challenging or really that difficult. Its because for some reason something about that sequence makes me incredibly motion sick every single time!

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

As many people have said, my first try resulted in multiple failures. I distinctly remember the wagon going off-road at least a dozen times before I finally finished. It was really difficult, but part of that, I think, was my lack of experience. Successive attempts have all been much easier, though it's still one of the harder, often more frustrating parts of the game.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

If nothing else, it is a unique moment in the LoZ. Why? Well, normally you only have to worry about yourself, your amount of hearts, your position, etc. This time though, you have to worry about the carriage burning up. Not to mention you are on horseback the whole time.

That being said, it was one of the more challenging and epic fights in Twilight Princess. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I agree. It was one of the few "protect" quests that I actually like!

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

The first time took me a little while because I didn't know the kargorocs were forcing the caravan to repeat the path. After I figured that out it was pretty simple.

It was pretty enjoyable and added some variety to the game. Plus if there is one thing I like about the Wii remote it is pointing and this task was perfect for it.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

It was difficult the first time simply because I didn't understand the enemies or have any idea of the pathing. After 2 failed attempts. I got it. After that it seemed easy. However, if I were to do it again after not playing for a long time, it may take a refresher run to complete it. Just one of those difficult things in a Zelda game.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

The first time I played, I went in circles a few times until I realized that a bird was dropping bombs in front of the wagon. After that, the escort was very easy.

I enjoyed that part a lot. It was one of the hardest parts in TP.

But seeing as I'm a badass 1337 gaming master, I beat it first try. Gamecube version. On an emulator. With a ♥♥♥♥ty controller.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

I love the Escort mission. During my first playthrough, however, I distinctly remember having a ton of trouble killing that last flying enemy -- the one that drops a bomb onto the carriage. Really hated that guy. ;P

I think I made it through by chance on the first playthrough, but on the second I realised about the bomb birds.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

I first played that part when I was around 10, and it always pissed me off. I had no ideas that the bombs were coming from birds above until I watched a walkthrough. After that, though, it was really easy, even though I had to switch to analog aiming because the Wii remote aim is a ♥♥♥♥♥.

Re: Telma's Caravan Escort

I'm also doing a replay of TP and yesterday I did the escort.

I didn't find it really hard, although I did a few circles because I couldn't hit the bird in time.
Just keep the Bow and Boomerang in your buttons, slaughter the pig riding Moblins (or whathever they're called) as soon as they appear, extinguish the chariot with the boomerang when it's on fire and it'll be a walk in the park.
