Why does nobody fight the final Ghirahim the cool way?

every time I see a video on youtube with the final fight against Ghirahim, the player always knocks Ghirahim off the platform, jumps down himself, then delivers that finishing stab.

How come nobody does the finishing stab move off the higher platform. It looks way cooler plunging into Ghirahim from that height and it makes the fight quicker. I do it every time

I do that. Its a lot less hassling this way and saves more time. =)

I guess the players probably arent aware you could do that since he's quite a distance away from you...

^ That's the answer right there. I've never contemplated that possibility.

I did it that way, I thought that was the way you had to do it.

It never crossed my mind to do it the uncool way. I'm just that cool.

I wasn't too sure about it at first. I sort of thought about it, but went ahead and jumped from platform to platform to deliver the final blow instead. Thinking about the distance between Ghirahim and Link at the time prevented me from doing so. x)

I'll be sure to do that when I play again though!

I thought there was no other way to hurt him other than striking him down from the platform above, so this is news to me.

Never knew there was an uncool way to do it.

I always just did it from the higher platform, haha. I never even considered going to Ghirahim's level to use the finishing blow.

I thought you HAD TO do the fatal blow from the platform. I always just assumed he'd automatically get up if you jumped down without doing it.

I've always done it from the above platform, really. I mean, in a world where physics surprisingly isn't as present as it should be, I still like to pretend that it's still kind of there. Everybody knows that when Link's momentum increases from the duration of being midair longer like that makes the force of the blow better. xD Ghirahim would definitely have a huge case of heartburn afterwards, that's for sure.

I've always jumped off the platform above. Looks epic.

Simple answer is you don't notice you can do it from abvove, you just jump down to pursue him. But yeah once I noticed you could strike from the above platform, I always did that.

I'm in the same position. The first two times, I jumped down. It wasn't until the final blow that I got the idea. Now, it's the only way I do it.

I tried it on Boss Rush, it doesn't really make your times all that much faster, I only shaved ~20 seconds from my best time doing it "the cool way"

Yup, that's how I do it.

I did it ever since the first time, and I guess I didn't consider what would happen if I just jumped down, I just saw the cool light coming from his chest and the action at the bottom of the screen so I did it right away instead of waiting.
