You do know you can shake the wiimote and fly up when you start to lose speed right? In fact, the only issue with the fight was actually holding back on my speed since Levias flies much slower than my loftwing.

I saw that too and it's honestly something that worries me. Despite that the dungeons were great to playthrough but what will they be like to play through again? This game was an amazing experience but it could be an all round fail when it comes to replays.

Maybe Lake Floria could have frozen over or something--hey there's our ice dungeon! It also would have added a bit of significance to Lake Floria, which otherwise holds the sad distinction as the game's most barren/boring area.
No, we cannot agree on this. I liked this part. I thought it was fun, and it lasted not 20minutes.

For me, I wish there were more towns... I mean it was said that Hylia brought all the humans up to Skyloft... so why were there only 30 people in the world? Maybe a bigger Skyloft or at least other habited islands would've been nice. But I'm nitpickking

I'm still willing to bet that the consensus will be that this part was terrible. You're right, it's only about 20 or 30 minutes if you're focused, so it should not be cited as a stain on the game as a whole, but it is probably the most egregious case of "padding" in the entire game. Swimming around a huge lake with decidedly awkward controls while doing nothing more than searching for note is not a strong game play idea--it's a fetch quest of the worst kind. Adding insult to injury, the justification for the quest was ridiculous. You've already proven yourself to this dragon multiple times.

I loved the idea of the flooded forest. But there are so many better routes they could have gone with it than a cheap search and find quest.

The Hidden Village from TP would have been the best bet. It would have functioned as a much needed town down below the clouds and it could have been a great opportunity to find out more about the Sheikah. I realize that mystery is part of the Sheikah's appeal, but at some point, I want to learn more about them.

For the record I had no problem with the tadtone quest. It was a nice change of pace I found.

I could go on and on about gameplay-related things, so I'll just list a few trivial things.

-Volvagia
-Gerudo, Zoras, and more Shiekah
-Sages helping to forge Master Sword
-Young Kotake and Koume ()

I was also half-expecting Fi to malfunction and say "I am error" at some point in the game. I mean, COME ON Nintendo. >_>

It would have been interesting if Gorko helped you in one of the fire dungeons like the monkeys in TP, and at the end, the boss would be Volvagia, and you would fight him while Gorko helps with his hammer. That way, they would have showed a nice backstory that OoT had, making it feel more connected to SS, and gave Gorko actual significance.

I haven't 100% the game yet so I'm only assuming there isn't one... but I was looking forward to the revenge of a savage labyrinth or a cave of ordeals. Sure the boss rush is pretty fun and challenging, though it's kind of a lazy idea.

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

volvagia was killed by a goron, not link the first time
(but i was hoping that gorko was that goron)
i actually enjoyed the tadstone quest, it wasnt long at all and i loved how the previously explored area was flooded
(but i say that knowing i never had a problem with swimming controls)

i would have liked to see more of demise's origins

A humanoid civilization on the surface that you actually get to encounter would be nice like a several towns or more.

Nintendo was sort of bragging about how much game play they had packed into the game, but I think that they could have implemented a lot more game play, like adding new areas. 3 areas seemed a little short for me, and I think the game had potential for much more areas.

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

A trio of dungeons for the dragons could have been nice.
For example, Faron sends you to kill the remaining monster horde in a watery cavern in Floria to test you further after the Tadtones. Because she's a dick. It would be crystalline and have a mix of ice, water and cavern themes, looking like too nice a place for monsters to hide in.
Eldin is still making the volcano erupt in the depths so you have to follow his down from his home in the the crater. The dungeon is a mix of fire and cursed/dark themes because it's where the demons first escaped the underworld.
Lanayru must be cured, but the seed was planted in a forest at the bottom of the gorge. You have to navigate it whilst switching it from a dried up gorge to the lush valley it once was.
Each dungeon would require use of the whole inventory rather than giving a new dungeon item.

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

-BETTER CONCLUSIONS TO SIDEQUESTS. Take the demon turned human for example. You spend the entire game giving him gratitude crystals, and he finally makes the transformation. What now? He just stands around in exactly two designated spots in Skyloft during day and night cycles. What happened to all of that build up? His yearning to interact with other humans? Hell, what happened to Kukiel's mother continuously wishing to meet whoever saved her daughter? It never happens. The sidequest just ends there. This is just one example of the sidequests that don't have any ending with conclusion.

-More meaningful islands. It did not feel like this game has had five years of developement when I flew past the dozens of tiny islands with absolutely nothing on them. There should have been more areas like The Lumpy Pumpkin: places where you can go back for at least a few new things to do and find, with characters to talk to.

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

1. Harder puzzles.
2. Aggressive enemies.
3. 3 more dungeons.
4. A real dungeon in the sky. We have all these islands with not much purpose other then treasure or mini-games.
5. A real boss for the second fire temple.
6. More health and a third form for the final boss.
7. No annoying text for treasure and bugs.

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

1. More enemies.
2. Use sword with the birdfly gameplay (I mean, if the controller was just with the nunchuk joystick and then you could use the wiimote to swing your sword, it would change the experience with the bird. Indeed, you could use other items too, such like the bow)
3. Stupid Messages deleted. "You got a monster claw! This item is very rare." "Master, your hearts are almost deplished."
4. More stuffs on the sky (More islands, sidequest, whatever, the sky looks SO empty)

Re: Things you wish made it into Skyward Sword (aka, what would you add or change?)

It's a small thing, really, but ever since TWW, I've folt both TP and now SS to be a bit "dead". SS is certainly more lively, but still lacks something. In TWW, out on the Great Sea, there is always something to watch, even if you're not doing anything yourself. And I don't see why they need to omit any wind physics at all just because it's not the central theme of the game. It would be nice to have something.

The NPCs and sidequests were also an improvement over TP, but I still couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Most boiled down to just getting Scrapper to carry stuff, or simply talking to a few NPCs. I'd like to see more actiony stuff from MM(saving the ranch from the aliens, or getting the mask from Sakon's hideout), or some of the longer and more involved ones from TWW(getting the windmill/light house to work, Pictograph stuff). One thing I did enjoy was that you had a choice as to how some could turn out.

I always wanted to know who these guys were.

We can see Ghirahim on the far left, but the big one in the center doesn't even resemble Demise in the slightest bit.

It's like Nintendo completely scrapped this idea halfway through their development process and forgot to edit these guys out of the finalized intro.

I always thought that the rest of the figures made for a great sequel hook. What if those evil beings are lurking somewhere on the surface?

And I think it's safe to say that the large center figure is Demise. Even in real life, legends, mythology, and religion can provide vastly different portrayals of one figure, due to the many depictors over time who wished to contribute to the story.

Whoever made the painting of Demise might not have ever seen him, but heard about him.
