Tingle Tuner

Okay so I finally got a GBA link cable to the GC. I was really excited to finally try out the Tingle Tuner. So I start the game and I plug in the connecter cable and it says there is no cable. So I try again, and again, and again. Still not working. I read the instructions in the manuel for WW. No help really. Just says plug in controller, turn on game, play. So does anyone have any advice for me? I'd be much abliged.

Was it previously used/owend?
Take it back, a wire inside it is torn or something.

If you can't take it back for whatever reason, you could try stripping the wire, then finding the tear and soldering it together, then cover it back up. If you don't wanna do that, you could also try moving the wire around until you get it into the right position again, but if you do that, one little move out of place will mess it up again and you'll have to find that position all over again, which could take up to hours.

No it's new. I think it's probably because my GBA is old and the connecting piece in it may be dented. I got it to work once but then an error happened. Does the GBA need a game in it or not? I may wiggle the wire around and see if it happens or not.

EDIT: Okay it didn't work, again. :\

before anything tell me how you got your hands on a new link cable.

I'm going with Scorpionz on this one. I don't see how it could have NOT been previously owend. If you can play a game on your GBA, then its not the GBA. If you're wiggleing it around and getting it to work for a little while, then the problem is what I stated earlier.

I guess it was used. I got it on amazon. Can't remember if it was new or not. :\ Let me check.

Then you just have the luck of getting one that doesn't work.

Seriously, if it fits in the GBA and your GBA can play games, the chance that the problem is actually the GBA is much less likely than the chance that its the wire connecting it to the gamecube.

but there's one question that still wasn't answered. Does the GBA need another game in it or not?

No it doesn't, the tuner won't even work if there is a game in it.

well it's not working. actually it did ask if i wanted tingle several times but then said error when connecting. :\ might be the cords or the connetion to the GBA.
