No, I don't believe you can. Lame, I know. It's not like there's anything stopping you from getting them in a different order... It's just that the game doesn't want you to. :<

That's what really annoys me, KoRL marks both temples on your map, you can access both, talk to both the sages, learn both melodies, yet you can't attempt the temples in a different order. I mean, after they are finished Medli and Makar cannot be interacted with, and Medli's like my fav character, (I tried giving her a golden feather, which her reaction is quite nice). Shame

Re: Official Gamecube/Wii Zelda Help Thread

I think I did them in any order. I believe I changed the order from one play to the next.

Actually, yes you can in any order. Because you need the items to get in them, it depends on which item you get first or if you get both of them you pick. From ice and fire island.

I can only reach Medli though (trust me I tried giving her a golden feather:L) Makar isn't playing for some reason. I have both items.

It isn't possible to do the Wind Temple before the Earth Temple. The order is locked in story progression. Even if you have both songs, no matter how you try, Makar won't go with you until you complete the Earth Temple.

That's what I thought but I what would I know. I tried Earth temple first. Medli is one of my favorite characters, so I chose her first. I love the rito.

Oh, they shouldn't put both on the map then. That is a bit silly. I think I always saved Makar last anyway Because I like him better.

Re: Official Gamecube/Wii Zelda Help Thread

How typical of a Zelda game, the illusion of choice to have it cut down. If the designers really want to shine, they design the dungeons so a specific item isn't required, it's more puzzle or simple combat based. Then you can do them in any order you please

Re: Official Gamecube/Wii Zelda Help Thread

Well, the very first Zelda was extremely non-linear. With one or two items from the first half of the dungeons, you could explore nearly the entire map and beat the dungeons in any order if you were good enough - the most common obstacles were simply hordes of very difficult enemies, which could be dispatched with superior tactics and a bit of luck in most cases.

But you know what? The overwhelming majority of the fans b*tch and moan about the game having no story or direction and just being too damn hard. Ocarina of Time was the last one give you any sort of freedom, and funnily enough, that's the game that put the series on the map of mainstream gaming and attracted most of the fans over the last decade. Quel surprise.

If you're unhappy with today's Zelda being restrictive and unchallenging, blame the idiots who play the games today.

How do you lower the prices for the tingle tuner items?

Does anyone know how to lower the prices for the items used by the tingle tuner? All I know is that you need to be at windfall island to do it.

Okay, I'm going to try and help you as best I can. I'm going to provide maps so you can follow them. Just know, only once in the history of Zelda has Nintendo made it possible to actually get stuck (OOT Water Temple).

Okay, I will outline where you should go, sorry for the white box on the right side. Make sure you click on the picture and zoom in so you can see the colors best. Yellow is you. Red is what I would like you to do. Follow the red from where you are. At the first Blue square, there should be a block. Use your ball and chain to knock it to the lower level. You can also smash the ice on the other block down on the first floor as well. Now, on the first floor of that room, there is a the sliding block puzzle. You need to get a block to rest on the switch that is in the middle of the ice. So play around and get a block to get there. It will open up a door on the second floor. Now, go back up the way you got down there. Now on the map, follow the Light Green path. You should be able to walk along a broken wall to get to the second Blue square. Oh and watch out for enemies too! At the second blue square, take out your clawshot, and shoot over the small wall, and over towards the door. You should see the clawshot medallion. Now continue to follow the Light Green Path. In the next room, swing your way across the chandeliers using your ball and chain, and arrive at the chest (the black square). Use this key to get that door open. I hope this has helped. PM or VM me with any questions, or if you need help.

Re: Official Gamecube/Wii Zelda Help Thread

In Twilight Princess, after defeating the boss Fyrus, I went to Lake Hylia. I tried to defeat the beast sitting upon the Shadow Kargaroc bird, but I can not defeat him. I have tried for two hours straight and nothing seems to help. I am not even able to attack him. He is grabbing Wolf Link before I am able to do anything. I have tried, tried and tried. What is the purpose of making a boss so hard that the gamers put the game on the shelf and never finish it? Please help me........ I do want to complete the game.

You have to dodge and wait until the monster is on the ground. You attack and grab onto him with A. Do that a few times.

I actually managed to beat that birdthing. The easy trick was to eye it all the time and use the Z targeting. The first two hours of trying, that bird thing was more difficult than all of the Zelda bosses combined.
