The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

All right, I just walked in with the packaging to FSA for Gamecube. I started it up, expecting a fun game, but not really a Zelda game. My opinion was immeadiately changed. As I played through the first of 24 huge levels, I learned that this game had a VERY Zelda feel to it. First off, you progress through worlds (three to a stage) and rescue the six maidens (and Zelda) reminiscient of Ocarina, where you had to collect medallions. Second, the Zelda enimies were loyal and the Zelda sound and midis were killer. And the graphics were Link to the Past with much of Windwaker thrown in. But what REALLY impressed me were the puzzles. Deceptively tricky, one of them had me going for 15 minutes. On the first level. Also, each world has its own boss. That's right. Over 30 bosses in this game. A Zelda high. The partner formations are cool, but the game really should be played in company. If you have friends, I'd say it's the way to go. Single player is fun, just less so. The only complaint I have is, when you into a dungeon, house, or pit, you must look at your GBA screen. A little annoying, especially when it's dark. It would help a lot if you had an SP or a lamp nearby when playing. Other than that, so far, I'd give it a 9/10. Stay tuned for more in-depth reveiw as I break this game down.

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

I'm glad to hear that! I was still deciding whether or not to buy it, afraid that the game would fall into the categorey of FS with the small amount of stages and lack of difficult puzzles (and 1 player mode). I have one question: Is the connection thingie included?

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

I really want to get this game. The only place in my town where I can buy it is a freaking wal-mart. And crappy wal-mart too. I have gone there once for the past two days and no FSA.

And yes the "connection thingy" is included.

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

The cable is included Mr. CGOCPFTF. From your description of the game so far Mute, it's looking really gooooood. 30 bosses....wow.......

But something's weird. You talk about stages...yes....the stages will be gooood.....muhaha.....anyway, that that mean that there isn't some kind of field, like hyrule field? Are you teleported from one stage to another?

*mugs Mute and takes FSA*

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

Im not even checking my town's walmart for a while 'cuz it takes forever for them to get games. And I as well have to go there... OMG! I just remembered they just built a GameStop next to walmart a few months ago... Hehe.. I'll check there tommorow. If "game" is in there name, they have to get games on decent time! See ya'all tommorow after I hopefully get FSA! Of all the times to remember that I remembered when typing here... wow.. :p I shall soon split into four and battle enemies ZELDA style! And the reason I posted:http://www.zelda.com Go to the FS section. They have some good stuff.REMEMBER: If you can't see the menu and you cant scroll: right-click view all.

Umm excuse me, Mr.Mute, can you clarify something for me? If there are three worlds to a stage (and I take it that there is one maiden to rescue for each stage), wouldn't that conclude to 21 worlds not 30? If you say that there are "Over 30 bosses in this game" then does this include "mini-bosses"? If it doesn't then I'm in a total loss here. What I'm getting is:

--each world has a boss
--each stage contains 3 worlds (which adds up to be 3 bosses)
--each stage contains a maiden
--there are 7 maidens in total (which includes Zelda)
--and for each maiden there are three bosses, so 7 X 3= 21 not 30.

Either I'm right, or one of us failed mathematics in the second grade. Unless of course, there is more information to the 9+ bosses you haven't throughly explained to us.

There are 24 stages, even though yuo are right. The last three have to do with killing Vaati. And as for the bosses, there are additional bosses scattered throughout (like Shadow Link). And, when you beat a boss, you progress to the nest. The stages look different of the World Map, but, really, you just pick up where you left off.

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

I'm probably getting this. I assumed it was gonna be a stupid game with no point or story to it. I hope it's cheap and that it's worth the money. Good thing with the GBA/GC cable, now I don't have to go buy one.

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

You can keep it as a back-up cable, or buy another Gameboy Advance and round up two friends of yours.

I have the cable as well, in fact, now i have TWO Gamecube/Gameboy Advance cable connections. Guess i'll think about buying another Gameboy Advance to make the 2nd one more usable.

Oddly enough, I am actually STUCK on a part of the game. It seems almost impossible at times. That's part of what makes it awesome, however.

No you don't need the cord, you can play through it on one player. It comes with the cord anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. My dad says I have to earn the money for it. Every time I get close, some giant sea monkey takes it.

Re: The *Official* FSA Buyer's Guide

AH GOD NO ONE LISTENS TO ANYTHING! Listen, you don't need a GBA if you're going to play one player, but, if you want to play multiplayer you need GBAs. There, it's answered, and from now on if you have a question read the rest of the thread before asking it, as this question has been answered MANY times.
