What should've happened at the end of WW.

The first time i played through WW, when i got to Ganondorf, and he got the triforce, the ONE thing i really really really really really really really really really wanted was Hyrule to come back. I wanted Ganondorf's wish to come true, and for hyrule to be unflooded. It would've been EPIC, ganon would have won in some degree.

This would've opened up room for a couple more dungeons, which IMO WW needed. After i bit more puzzle solving, dungeon roaming fun i could have fought him but, it even could have set up better for the Alttp backstory, but alas it was not so.

What do you guys think?

I believe the stabbing in the head more than makes up for this.

In my opinion of course. Still, Wind Waker was much too short and a few more dungeons could've made it better, since they could've located them underwater with Hyrule. I would also hope (too late D; ) that they'd lessen the amount of Triforce shards, or just give us the whole piece.

The high point wasn't just stabbing him in the head. The best part is that Link stood on his face for a good twenty seconds staring him down before he died.


Anyways, I'm glad they didn't unflood Hyrule. The sea was pretty much the whole point of that game and I, for one, enjoyed sailing.

...At the end of every Zelda game I always beg for another plot twist with more levels. I never get my wish. =/

But do we know that he realy died. He was just turned to stone and anyone that has played zelda before knows there are ways to unstatuefy people.

Why on earth would you want more dungeons after such a climatic final battle and epi ending cutscene? It would kill the finality of it and would have destroyed my respect for the devlopers if they felt the need to throw in more worthless content.

Hey WW is not worthless, I sold my WW disk to Gamestop for $7 !!!!!!

TWW ending was perfect to me. Ganondorf was finally done for. Stabbed in the head. When I first beat it, and saw it, I was like "holy *****"..

...I meant that the extra dungeons themselves would be stupid.

But the game was pretty short and I was pretty shocked when the game was like "Nope that's it!"

And really? 7 bucks? Why the heck would you sell a Zelda game for seven bucks?

The enemies in Zelda II and OoX were working to resurrect Ganon. Meaning he was dead but they could make him alive again. So, I gotta figure, just because somebody can be brought back doesn't mean they aren't dead.

And I wouldn't exactly consider a rock to be alive.

This. Besides, bringing back Hyrule would completely defeat the point of TWW, which was to move on. Hyrule still exists on the Child Timeline anyway.

Aonuma said in an interview that Ganondorf did in fact die in the ending of TWW. Even without the interview, TWW makes it clear that Ganondorf died: Daphnes basically wished for Ganondorf to die, Ganondorf was stabbed in the head by the Master Sword while not in the possession of the ToP, and he mentioned the wind, which he said brought death, just before he turned to stone.
