Wind Waker horrors!

Ok, so, i know that before WW, the goddesses told people in Hyrule to go to the moutain tops because they were going to flood Hyrule to stop Ganondorf. What would really freak me out is being one of the people in a land DIFFERENT than Hyrule. Think about it, if the the Goddesses started to flood Hyrule, then what in the world were the other lands around the planet thinking? "Oh, lots of rain today, better go inside!" Well THEY certainly died XDD so can someone add there opinion on what would of happened to the other people, or if i got any info wrong in here. >_< haha

well if they waited ganon would compleatly take over hyrule so they fludded it so he cant take over so they had to choose some people or all of hyrule what would you pick hmmmm

if it was a different land then ya they would die, but if you mean a world parallel to hyrule then somebody else told them to move to the mountain tops

how do you know they were told any different than any other land? there is no proof that any parallel world was even flooded.

Well, it seems little unlikely that the mountains of Hyrule could hold the entire mankind, so the godesses really have to chose

I don't think other countries were flooded. I mean how could they ever find a "new Hyrule" if they were because I don't think you can have a mountaintop that big and not already have people there claiming it their own. And the tale only says that the ancient kingdom of Hyrule was sealed away so there is no mention about "All the lands in the world" being sealed away just Hyrule.

So what does the great sea exist in a giant bowl or something? No I think PH shows a great example of another land being flooded because while the islands of WW corresponded with a map of OOT/TP Hyrule the islands of PH seem to be off the map and could be the remains of another civilization that once worshipped the ocean king instead of the Three Goddesses.

Erikson: it's debatable whether or not Holodrum and Labrynna exist in the same world or if they're like Termina in that they're parallel to Hyrule. Also some peole place OOX after the flood so they might not have existed yet.

Flooding only one country would create a pretty messed up geography (with a water bubble around Hyrule territory)... Unless Hyrule sinked, instead of the water level rising... And I don't think a little group of pirates (with only one woman) would be able to repopulate the New Hyrule, so it's very likely that the newfound land has it's native inhabitants.

I would think they exist in the same world. In the ending of OoX (linked), we see Link set sail instead of being teleported back from the way he entered. Zelda and Impa are from Hyrule who came to these lands other than Link and some NPCs can move between both. I won't believe they came after the flood, in OoA we can go as far back as 400 years and see nothing relevant. Not impossible, but that would have to be a pretty long time then.

Erikson: Just pointing out Labrynna is much more water-logged in its past then the present.
