Favorite Boss Thread 1

Who is your favorite boss from Twilight Princess and why?

All the bosses in this game are really cool, but I have a 2 favorites.

1. Twilight Igniter: Fyrus

2. Twilight Aquatic: Morpheel

Re: Favorite Boss Thread 1

I like:

1. Twilit Fossil: Stallord - It was tough, but fun to beat at the same time as you ride the Spinner. It's also odd that Zant was the only one to revive the Stallord by jabbing a sword in its skull.

2. Twilit Dragon: Argorok - It is a bit tough, yet fun, too... And you get to ride on the dragon's back and stab the swelling in his back. I love the atmosphere which adds to the battle.

Well how else would I frase it?

I couldn't really say "what is the best boss" because there really isn't one.

I'll do my best to keep people from spaming.

These were good bosses too. Probably my 3rd and 4th favorites.

The only bad part about them were....

Stallord- the mummies/undead were kind of annoying. They should have had a better way to make him more difficult. Maybe like having the first stage in the fight were he has legs and can actually move around and attack you. Then have the part were you attack his spine.

As for Argarok. He was really cool. But how you defeated him reminded me of Morpheel with the back stabing being like the eye stabing. He was a very fun boss though.

For instance:

While I thought on the whole, Morpheel aside, the Twilight Princess bosses were not that original or that memorable, I did enjoy the battle with Argorok.
I liked the use of the pillars you had to clawshot to even reach him before even thinking of doing damage and the use of the iron boots really was just a unique way to give them other uses than just walking underwater or pressing rusted switches. Plus what with the hookpoint on his tail, it was a nice little nod to Valoo from Wind Waker, which was a nice though.

I'd say Argorok over Morpheel simply because Morpheel was ridiculously easy despite (Morpha-esque elements aside for the first part of the battle) and Argorok provided more of a challenge. That said, the battle with him wasn't that difficult either.

Also, I just liked his model - I thought it was well articulated and looked great, especially in flight. Sometimes, the flight mechanics of wings and whatnot in games can look really odd or just akward and what with the year of delay or so, they really nailed some of these fine touches and it reflects in these battles.
Again, just a shame his difficulty wasn't that high.

Re: Favorite Boss Thread 1

I can agree. Morpheel should have been hard to fight.

It didn't really even put up a fight.

I think the battle with morpheel seemed much more original and epic. Dragons have been done many times before, but a giant eel creature demon that is 100+x the size of link seems much more original to me.

I liked the fact that morpheel battle was in the water aswell. Link hasn't really had a good under water battle ever.

How you figth Argorok was also kind of copying Morpheel because you used the claw shot to defeat both bosses.

They should have made the fight with him much original rather than copying the Morpheel fight.

A good substitue for the clawshot could have been rock's feather or pegasus boots. This way it would have been more of a airial battle. If you had the pegasus boot it would also help you aviod the one annoying part of the battle where if you fall of the stage you have restart the fight.

It is also kind of weird that Argorok's tail was shaped just for your clawshot. What are the odds of that?

Morpheel was cool because at first it was like water boss in OoT, but then it emerged.

Morpheel could have been changed up a bit more becuase it reminded me of molgera alot. Maybe it should have had electricity powers like eels actaully have.

Re: Favorite Boss Thread 1

Stallord was obviously the best. He actually had some difficulty compared to the other bosses. I mean, really, how many times did Fyrus, Argorok, Morpheel, Blizzeta, or any of those other guys get a hit on you? And, the boss fight was actually unique and memorable. You get to play pinball with a freaking fossil and undead army. How sweet is that?

Re: Favorite Boss Thread 1

Well, I have three:

1. Fyrus. The introductory cinematic was just epic, it sent shivers down my spine. The fight itself was epic also.

2. Blizzeta. NOT TAKE MIRROR!!! Which freaks you out, and then, comes the haunting Christmas music. The soundtrack was amazing.

3. I really disliked how they used Ganondorf in TP, but the fight with him was epic. When he was in beast form was when I enjoyed it best. It was more realistic to have a boar charging at you then some prokchop wielding two swords.

Twilit Ice Mass Blizzeta. To me was the hardest of them all, silly me of saying that.

I would have to say Morpheel and Stallord. They were both huge, and fun to fight. Also they both looked pretty cool.

Only one other vote for Zant? He was the funnest boss in the whole game, since he didn't just have one or two patterns that repeated until the end, there was one strategy for each of the five remix fights plus a genuine skill-based duel at the end, plus the awesome dance mixes of the older boss music.

Zant was interesting as well.

Dragon Argorok. I love the use of the pillars and hook claws ! One of the most creative boss battles in zelda in a while.

I didn't care for him much. All the original fights were funner than his mishmashed fight. Also it was very easy compared to the fight before it (Argarok). The final fight wasn't a test of skill, or good one anyway.

Stallord - within TP I thought this fight was the most orginal and made great use of the Spinner top . Plus it was just fun. I do wish he had been a little more challenging though.

I can agree.

I think that every boss in all the Zelda Games I've plyed (MM, OoT, TWP, FSA, WW) should have been more chalanging.

This is one factor they need to improve on. The boss battle difficulty.

Re: Favorite Boss Thread 1

Seems like Stallord is very popular.

What did you guys think about the temple he was in also. I liked the mini boss and the theme of the temple. It kind of reminded me of the spirit temple in OoT and like Molgera's boss room in WW.

I thought that it was cool to put the poes in this dungeon like the forest temple in OoT. It was kind of a mix of the forest and spirit temple if you think about it.
