Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
Despite the wolf link happenings, this game is far superior than others. Just the right amount of mini-games, side-quests, and temple difficulty. I enjoyed it very much. I wish I had it back now.

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
Actually TP could have had more sidequests and increased difficulty for starters (and when I say sidequests, I mean nothing like "collect all poes" or "collect all bugs" or "collect all anything" )

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
Considering that the newer Zelda games are getting easier (not just because we are all getting better) I would say that TP would be a good game to start off with

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
Each game had a unique storyline. What makes a good Zelda storyline to begin with? Or how can one be better than another? Collect X items -> Kill Gannon

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
I liked the game but it wasn't one of my faves. Maybe I jus tspoiled myself with OoT, my first. I liked the main story-line, main characters, even the game play, though certain dungeons and whatnot were irritating--but that's every Zelda game. The one thing that DID dissappoint was the surprising lack of underdeveloped minor characters. The Gorons and especially Zoras were buffoons. One of the things I love about Zelda is becoming intimate with the minor characters. Maybe I just spoiled myself with MM, but the lack of subquests disappoints. I was especially sad when you enter Castle Town and--sadness!--all those people milling about, but most you can't talk to. If Paper Mario can pull off that many unique characters, so could Zelda. I guess I was just disappointed that, despite this vast, wonderful world, I felt relatively lonely. There should have been more people to meet, more subquests to fulfill. That's all. I liked the game otherwise, just that disappointment. In my boyfriend's words, they were lazy. What was there was good, but they needed more, it feels unfinished.
But there's lots of cool elements too, like the double hookshot and spinning top...and that one guy with glasses who reminds me of Harry Potter, lol

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
...ALttP didn't have a castle town. And after the 3rd level ALttP's Kakariko Village turns into another death trap. =/
I find that many non Zelda fans who start of with TP get killed off extremely quickly, and they get horribly stuck, even with a guide next to them. It's horrible. But I can list at least 6 people that died twice within the first hours of the game. =/ It's hard to get through TP without past Adventuring experience. xD

Re: Twilight Princess: better or worse than old games?
I seeee. Wasn't a fan of TMC's castle. But I liked the town. ALttP's castle was cool, but pretty small in comparison to both TP and TMC.

It was fun. But it was easy.
So I say, worse.
