Well, now it seems like I'm copying off of you. I'll just go with my idea of trying to make hieroglyphics. Mwahahaha.

So one member has agreed to contribute as a judge. I'm going to keep looking for candidates and also make sure someone volunteers for the art.

I'm going to see if I can join Zelda Dungeon tomorrow and see what they think about this.

My entry will take a long time (it's incredibly long), so I foresee you putting your entry in before I do.

Besides, putting poems into boss entries is so cliche that lots of other people will probably do it (albeit, some of them might end up as really crappy poems).

Lloyd: How many people have you asked to be judges? Did you just ask people from here, or from Zelda Dungeon and NSider 2?

I know I'm not supposed to put stuff from the entry here, but here's the last sentence. "Please enjoy reading and judging my entry. I know I had a great time writing it." I hope that doesn't reveal too much.

^I've yet to ask Rockerfox from Nsider. He has helped out since long ago. He may want to participate this time, I'm not sure (he's won two Design a Boss contests). I think I'll go register at Zelda Dungeon right now.

EDIT: I hope it starts soon. I've been working on my insanely long boss entry and I'm about 3/4 of the way through.

By the looks of it, it seems to be almost twice as long as my previous boss entry, the Cursed Puppetmaster: Stalrex .

Don't worry, I'll make the font slightly smaller to not obstruct people looking for other entries on the page I put mine on.

Meanwhile, anyone else have something in mind? Should I consider doing something different this next contest? Know any other community that should be invited for competition? Need more thoughts on this, people.

^There's another thread like this one at Nsider. I'm waiting for ZD's response before I open one there because they may not even want to take part of this.

In other news, I now have two fellow judges: Rockerfox from Ns2 and Hylian Dan. It'd be awesome if two more people can help out as judge.

Also, I've decided to make an attempt to get Nintendo Power's attention, but I may need someone to formally speak on behalf of ZU. Hopefully NP or some other gaming magazine can mention DaB and the winners in some way.

I went on the NS2 site, and I saw something about DAB: Lupus being "a completely different/new contest" (I forgot the wording, but it was something to that effect).

I hope that there aren't any rules regarding the content of the boss entry beyone the basics. I'm almost finished my entry.

No, all visual aides are optional, the judges pretty much ignore them.

Artwork is not forbidden. However, it will not help your entry beyond helping the judges to visualize the *whatever you drew*.

I think that since the 11th contest, I decided to make DaB more than submit your idea for judging and went for an interesting set of rules that made the 11th contest different. It was called Design a Boss: Chimaera, and instead of having basic entries, all entries had to be based on an element such as fire. The contest didn't finish since that was during the time the official Nsider closed. And after that came the ns2 debut which offered something different by having both ZU and NS2 participate, which is something that was never done before. I figured this next one could be different, but not much will change except for maybe Zelda Dungeon participating and having a different set of judges, prizes, etc.
