Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
| Thread focused just on this question |
Hey it could be interesting. We might get a more in depth view on the Master Sword. It is a pivotal part of Zelda-lore. Here's the pic I saw which Im sure many of you have seen already: ![]() Not a bad theory. The point of her hat is drawn the same way they tend to draw a sword. She is silver up top and blue on her lower half. He's also swordless, which we havent seen in a long time for Zelda art. Do you think she is really the personification of the Master Sword or is it just crazy fans cooking it up? And if she is indeed the lady of the Master Sword, do you like the idea or not? |

I like to think that every theory the fans conjure is a hefty load of ****, especially when they flaunt their theories as fact.
My opinion on the whole deal is that she's a major character in the game, most likely Link's partner or whatever your particular preference in terminology is.

Explain to me how you could use a human being as a sword please.
After you do then i will believe that shes the master sword, till then it just won't happen. Perhaps she is your enemy and either merged with your sword 0r had sex with it and this created this thing that resembles that, thus explaining why she looks like it somewhat and why link is swordless. Also this has the same possibilty of her being the master sword so you cant deny it. |

Could it be possible that she could transform back and forth from person to weapon? Wouldnt be a first. Also where is that sword drawing / render from? I hope they didnt just make it themselves. |

I don't see why not. Even the interviewers of Nintendo Power said she looked like the Master Sword...and Miyamoto only supported the idea by mentioning Link not having a sword when they asked about the girl.

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
What if zelda wii is before oot? Before the master sword existed, the game could explain the origins of the sword. The girl in the picture could have transformed into the master sword so link could defeat the unknown villain of this game? That would explain her having common features to the master sword.
![]() But that's just random theory's. ![]() |

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
The girl is the sword? You expect me to believe that? Right.
The real question is: why would Nintendo make a sword into a girl? It makes no sense, whatsoever. This is the Master Sword, which is just that: a sword, right? I was unaware that it could transform into this being, otherwise I'm sure we'd have seen it long before now. |

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
Because handheld versions are always sillier than the console ones. Also Capcom.

I don't give a flying **** if they're canon, or whatever other bull**** you lot pull out of your collective ass. The handhelds are not as serious as the console versions in nature, hence it's an unfair comparison.

She does look like it, yes. I have a feeling they'll totally surprise us with something different, though...
Who knows what goes on at Nintendo. ![]() |

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
Why do people have this idea of the girl being swung as the sword? She is the personification of the Master Sword, people. Makes much more sense than thinking of her as the Fairy Queen or whatever.
Like TP, I was skeptical when people saw the second trailer and immediately concluded that Link was the howling wolf at the end of the trailer. How right they were. This is much more blunt, though. |

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
It makes sense! But where has the dopy cow been all this time then?
At the same time she also resembles a Great Fairy, or some sort of chess piece (think the Red Queen and White Queen from Alice through the Looking Glass.)

TP was a console game. It had a living, talking wind boomerang which was equipped by a baboon who frequently slapped his butt at you.

I'd say the Oracles were considerably dark at time. Especially the personal space invading, body snatching Veran. You can't deny that the fact that she transforms into a shadow, and flies into the bodies of her victims made her one of the creepiest Zelda villains.

The picture in the OP + the fact that Miyamoto specifically pointed out that Link wasn't holding a sword.
Yeh, I believe it.

Re: Do you think she's really the personification of the Master Sword?
From what I've heard, Yes I believe that she is the master sword. I don't know why but I am not particulary thrilled with the idea... I guess there has to be some kind of annoying sidekick. I guess it might as well be the master sword. And I know that no matter what I'm sure I'll love the game! =)
