Twilight Princess worked within the limits of Ocarina of Time (a N64 game released 8 years prier) and did nothing unique with it. It even follows Ocarina of Time down to exact events like Zora's Domain freezing over and Death Mountain erupting violently. It constantly tries to remind us of Ocarina of Time every chance it gets; yet, Ocarina of Time did everything better. |
I agree, but bear in mind, everybody wanted
OoT again after Wind Waker. Nintendo was just trying to please the unpleasable Zelda fans.
Anyway,
TP was done with the limitations of the GC in mind (standard controller, tiny 1.5GB discs). You never know, motionplus and more disc space might add new mechanics and breath new life into the series. 1:1 Swordfighting, Voice acting, more dungeons, larger overworld and more sidequests are just some of the benefits the wii may bring.
At least, if Nintendo decide to put effort into this one. But after Super Mario Galaxy, my hopes are very high indeed...
