Transportation?
Link has had many ways of transportation on his many adventures. Their are many examples of Links creatures and objects he had used for transportation.
What type of transportation (eg. Epona, boat, creatures from the Oracle series) do you think will be in the next game? I'm hoping a horse, or another quick animal of sorts.

Re: Transportation?
I'd like to see a bird.
Heh , we already had land and sea transportations , so why not air now. I'm not saying that the whole game has to be air based , but it'd just be a way to get across a huge land fast. Flying over a mountain is faster then going around it afterall =p |

Re: Transportation?
If it has anything to do with the wind, I'd definitely like to see air transportation. It doesn't need to be "too easy" either.. they could just as well throw obstacles in the way and have the wind play a crucial part in your successful journey from place to place.
A dragon would probably be the best mode of transportation for this, even if most of the game ends up involving the pirate ship (for the sake of reaching the "new land")

Re: Transportation?
Being able to take control of the pirate ship would be neat, or as some of you have stated, using the air. Air transportation is unlikely to work or occur, but it is possible.

). As for the obstacles, they could be weather conditions, trees, flying enemies, flying objects (cannon balls, pikes, rocks, etc), etc... Maybe others will think "we already have a big owl, why would we need a big hawk?". The owl is a representation of wisdom. It has been shown that sign in Greek Mythology and as well as the vast knowledge Kaepora Gaebora knows. As for the hawk, in greek mythology it is a representation of the animal of war and courage. It could tear its enemies with it's sharp Talons and beak. Imagine having an aerial battle with the Helmaroc King on a big hawk (of course the hawk will be smaller than the Helmaroc King, but slightly bigger than Kaepora Gaebora). Now with that in mind, wouldn't you like to have a big hawk as your transportation service?

Re: Transportation?
I'd LOVE to eventually see a game where Link is able to tame and find himself an ally with a dragon.
I think it'd be great if Link could make friends with several of his beastly enemies such as a wolfos (nice to have a big wolfos for mountain terrain transportation as well as back up deep alone in the woods and ridges where a horse might not help) or possibly a bear like creature... I'd almost love to see Zelda incorporate more RPG like features where you can have some party members back you up or help you out in areas you'd struggle with or not even be able to pass thorugh alone. |

Re: Transportation?
Well, I think it's obvious that the new Zelda is using a horse... the great thing is that it's using it in new, more innovative ways rather than just riding it around Hyrule (swashbuckling on horse-back should be very, VERY interesting). If they make another cel-shaded WW sequel (which I don't think they will because most evidence points to this realistic one being the direct sequel to the Wind Waker) I wouldn't mind seeing Link riding on Valoo or something because he's not so menacing as to be overkill.

Re: Transportation?
I'm sure they actually could execute sailing properly, so that you're not sitting on your boat for minutes on end with nothing to do. Destinations should be close to each other, and sea monsters should force you to fight your way to each place.
Of course, a horse is shown in the trailer, so most of the travel will probably be on land. But with the new graphical style, imagine the water effects that could be used! I'd like to see at least a few destinations which you would have to reach by boat.

Re: Transportation?
As much as I loved Windwaker, having to change the direction of the wind when you accidentally passed the target area to get back to it was a bit annoying....i . As for another means of transportation other than a horse...well, a jeep is out of the question.....i think they should bring the pegasus boots into the arena. To be able to use that kind of speed in dungeons to perhaps leap over a wide gap, like the magestic rolling goron would add another dimension to the puzzles to be solved in the dungeon.
....besides, boots rule |

Re: Transportation?
The boat was cool at first but c'mon it gets borin traveling from island to island with noting to see apart from anoying sharks pirate ships shooting you. I got tired of it after a while. I still like Epona the best riding Epona on Hyrule field was great, best transport for me

Re: Transportation?
yeh, I do admit boat riding was boring...riding epona in the new LOZ would be cool....but did anyone stop to think that maybe the horse isn't epona? It could be a new, magical powered horse, or a shapeshifter....u don't get any details from the film and screens....so...u neva know(I agree...it's crazy idea)

Re: Transportation?
I agree with allstar700, a shapeshifting creature would be the awsomeness.....actually that could be a good title for the next zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: The Shapeshifter . It would be some mystical creature you have to seek out which would transform into a fishy, horse, or bird. You would obtain it with just one shape at first like a horse...but then as you need to access a far off area with water or a bottomless pit, it would gain the ability to change into something different.
