RPG zelda-good or bad?

sounds pretty nerdy huh? But i've always wondered what
it would be like. I completely suport any atempts to make an RPG zelda.
Do u? Give idea's on how u would like the game to play out. Or what
RPG style u would like to play the game with.

I prefer the action-adveture ways of Zelda, because that is what sets it apart from Final Fantasy and other games of the gnere.

I'd be willing to try it.

It could have all those new villains people here seem to want.

i think it could be good but it might suck

I personally wouldn't like it. I definitely prefer a single-player mode of adventure for Zelda, with a quest style rather than continuously levelling up.

How about having an RPG element to it, not entirely RPG, for example, when you kill enemies you get experience points for it depending on the size or whatever, when you get certain amount of ex points you can use that to add extra power to a certian item like your sword or other weapons, if you haven't powered up enough you will struggle against more stronger enemies/bosses later in the game. No leveling up, just ex points for more power.

Something different at least, since that is what everyone here craves for.

yeah that would be cool. i think it would be good if there was online and u ran around killing ppl etc

Zelda rpg could work , but it won't. there are some good rpgmaker Zelda games tho...

I am very ok with it but it must be non canon!

I would just perfer to have Nintendo make a new franchise if they want to start making RPG's, so I guess that would be a vote for bad.

Nintendo is due a good 1st party RPG franchise imo.

I could see a Paper Mario-esque sub-series working extremely well.

I don't know, what's considered an RPG? Miyamoto's been calling Zelda an RPG for years. xD

Zelda as a conventional RPG would be a big no-no for me. RPG = stat whoring = boring.

Deeper story and more NPCs can be achieved without changing genres.

I don't like turn based RPG's, too much is left to luck and stats.

i think zelda could be made into a good rpg but if they messed it up zelda might die.

Yeah I like that RPG aspect of the game.

Zelda, in my mind, has always been a game that hasn't taken itself as seriously as most of the RPGs out there. I feel it appeals to a wider audience than hardcore players who play RPGs like Final Fantasy. Its simpler, and I think that's done it justice over the years.

Personaly when I think RPG I think D&D, not Final Fantasy.
Now Zelda with a D&D vibe.....
