Bring back the races

Ocarina of Time was the first game to show many different races living throughout Hyrule. There were five different races, Kokiri, Gorons, Zoras, Hylians, and Gerudo, each with their own town or city in different regions of the world. Majora's Mask did a good job of following this pattern, but since then there have been fewer races used. Each game since then has introduced some new "throw-away" race (Subrosion, Tokay, Zuna, Minish, Wind Tribe, Oocca, Anouki) for story purposes, and they never appear again after that. Even the Kokiri and Gerudo have not appeared very many times. Only the Hylians, Gorons, and Zoras are frequently used in the games.

So...Which races would you like to see in future Zelda games? Do you think they should bring back previous races or continue making new ones?

I want the Gerudo to make a return. I found it disappointing that the Gerudo were missing from TP.

I would like to see Deku Scrubs and Kokiri come back. TWW sort of reinvented them which I liked. I'm sort of getting bored of Gorons and Zoras though. They aren't interesting or do very much at all.

Develop the ones they have, whats the point in making something new then abandoning it, besides that the planets getting crowded how many billions of humanoid races can exist in one world?

I'd like it if they had a tonne of races in one game, all with their own village or two and some mixed villages (Castle Town could do with more than just a few Gorons coming to visit)

The Kokiri are a worthless race in my opinion. I'm not entirely fond of an entire race inspired by Peter Pan. Now, redesign them to feel much more sylvan and wild and maybe they'll be worth something.

I like their uniqueness in the sense that they never grow- ... Omg it IS Peter pan O.o
I seriously just made that connection in the middle of typing that sentence...

But still, I love how they could have a deep sense of experience and intellegence while still being kids. They're like hobbits

Every race must return for Zelda Wii!! And they must be at war! i think it would be nice to send the twili to the twili realm.

Lol...Is it racist to say I never really like Gorons that much. The Gerudo were awesome though, they were like the funnest character's to fight. And I would like to see some more Sheikah...even though they pretty much died off before they were even introduced. xD I also loved the character design of the Zoras in TP...except for the fact that they all looked like chicks.

I'd like to see the individual races have their own separations, like the OoT and MM versions living in the same world. Volcano and mountain Gorons, sea and river Zoras, ocean and desert Gerudos, forest and swamp Dekus.

It'd be interesting to see them scrap pretty much all extra races so far and do another Ocarina of Time where they introduce the new races of Hyrule - a good five or six completely new races. No Gorons, Zora, Kokiri, Gerudo, Sheikah, Rito, Korok, and god forbid, NO ANOUKI. Start with a fresh slate. This could be based in a very different looking Hyrule, one that has gone through some sort of metamorphosis and has emerged a changed land. New races, geography and all.

Well, the Arbiter's Grounds was built by Gerudo, and I believe that Thelma is a Gerudo.

Yes! Also on topic i really think the sheikah should reappear. If not them than the Gerudo need to come back.

Why do you think all the races are useless?

I'd rather they just develop the ones they have, instead of making new races per game. Shiekah, Gorons, Zoras, kokiri, and Gerudo. Maybe Rito too, just because they make a good bird type people.

Apart from the Hylians, they should keep the Gorons and Zoras/Rito (depending on the time period... Rito in the post-flood world, Zoras at other times) as the constant races. I wouldn't mind another race in future games as long as it's unique. I'd actually like to know a bit more about the Oocca, and I wouldn't mind the Gerudo or Deku in some other games as well, but I wouldn't want them in each one. I liked the Sheikah a little too.

I'd rather they changed the Gerudos into a race where there are men, but it's a matriarcal society. The men are looked down upon in the same way our people often look down on women. And a female leads them. Not some man born every hundred years. They would make more sense that way, I believe.

Wasn't there like two Sheikah ladies in TP. I really loved the Sheikah, they were so mysterious and cool. Maybe they would make a secret faction that was formed in the name of Sheikahs.

I also miss Ritos I want to see them in realistic looking graphics, that would have been SWEET!!!

I didn't like how they didn't put Gerudos in the GERUDO MESA!!!
