I would love another cell-shaded game. Imagine what Nintendo can do with the Wii graphics. It would probably be even more beautiful than WW.

You don't want any more Celda? Why not? Explain.

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
I'm fine with either, as loong as it fits with the overall style of the game.
Imagine Wind Waker with realistic graphics, or a WW styled TP, doesn't seem right, does it? if it works, use it, if not, keep it realistic. If it's Cel-Shaded for diversity... OoT was the first Zelda game with realistic graphics, maybe Adventure of Link, but I'm not really sure. Count those two, MM, TP, that would be just 4 (IF you count AoL as realistic.) that's not much next to the.... what... 6 WW styled games? |

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
I just started replaying TWW last week, it's been a while since I played it last, and I stopped every once in a while to just look and think how much I love what the game looks like. TWW is beautiful, the art style deserves more than just hand helds. And of course, cel-shaded can be a lot of things, I like the Prince of Persia style too.
Yes, they definitely should make more Celda. It would be very amazing.

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
Zelda fans don't know what they want because the fanbase is split on everything. I honestly believe this series has more controversal topics than any other series ever.
Eiji Aonuma actually canceled Wind Waker 2 to make Twilight Princess. Just because of American feedback. So I think fans play an important part. Eiji Aonuma said that he would be completely lost if he didn't have feedback from fans during development. He says the problem with TWW was that it alienated groups of fans...and that it did for sure. He listened to America's feedback to TWW and we said no to the graphics, no to the shortness and no to the ocean...We then got TP. Already he's been given feedback for TP and we said no to lack of originality, no to MIDI, and no to easiness. I really hope he listens to that one. >_> TP sold well, way better than TWW...I think that feedback was enough to make him stay with what the majority of the fanbase says.

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
I would have to say if there were to be another Celda that I would want it to look like this:
I love the animated comic book style of Ultimate Spiderman. (Mind you, I'm not suggesting that we go to a living comic book style cutscene, like we see in the Ultimate Spiderman, but the during play visuals look incredible, and I would love to see that. This video shows both the cutscene style that I don't want, and the during play visuals I do want: |

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
So Mario Galaxy is cel shaded?
I don't want the game to be celshaded in the way that TWW was. Since 2003 it seems as though anything can be called cel shaded. All I ask for is realistic shading, if cel shading now means realistic lighting and shading, then by all means go for it... Nghh. I think the outlines are gross. Not a fan of the comic book look. It's cel shaded but it's also grey...that's like, double eww for me. >_>

^No, TalaAhrahk just meant cel-shading can do similar things graphically to SMG. At least that's what I think he said.

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
Okay, yeah I understand. I played through the New Prince of Persia...it's nice but I personally though TWW looked better. I guess the rigid outlines got to me fast...plus the liquid stuff was blah. The landscape far off in the distance was pretty though, because it looked "normal". This was right after playing hours of Assassin's Creed though. PoP and AC have a lot in common, but the visuals to Assassin's Creed were way more stunning...but that's a PS3 games...>_>
![]() When I look at all other cel shaded games I still see TWW was the best looking, close up and far away. I feel like cel shading just belongs with generic anime games...And I don't see Zelda as a generic anime looking game. Putting realistic models in a cel shaded world doesn't work with me, I feel like it would've looked even better with proper shading. This is all about personal tastes...and simply put, I perfer realistic shading over cel shading.

Re: After ZeldaWii, would you mind having another Cell-Shaded Console Zelda?
...Twilight Princess shares the same wind engine that TWW had. You can tell which way the wind is going by looking at Link's hat, the clouds, the grass, flags, dust, mist and many many other things...And dispite all of this I still manage to forget which way the wind is blowing in TWW. @_@

The engine is irrelevant, you can't show wind lines without cel-shading. Well you can, but it'd look pretty out of place otherwise. It's possible to discern it in other ways like you mentioned, but it's a lot friendlier to just have wind lines.
