Harder Bosses?
Should the Bosses in the future Zelda games be harder? I would love to face Bosses that are long and hard. I want to face a normal temple boss that I need faries for. Do you think that the bosses should stay the same as they have been in the past? Should they last longer?
Can't wait to hear what you think!! ![]()

Re: Harder Bosses?
multi-stage bosses, like ganondorf/ganon, majora and stallord have historically been the best. Although some really easy bosses were super cool and fun, like bongo bongo. Imagine if bongo bongo was longer and harder, with different stages!

Re: Harder Bosses?
I DEFINITELY think they should be harder. As for longer... if you have to repeat the same strategy over and over, then no, because it would get really monotonous. But if they put some variety into boss battles, such as different stages or more complex methods of stunning a boss so that you can hit it (as opposed to "shoot it with an arrow, then run up and hit it a lot"), then I would go for it. See, if they made it difficult enough to stun the boss, then it could still be difficult, even if you had to hit it just once to kill it.
Heck, for that matter, why not change up the whole stunning thing? That's getting old, too. You shouldn't always have to finish a boss with your sword. Of course, that's usually the most epic-looking way, but I think that they could come up with some creative, epic-looking finishers for other weapons too.

Re: Harder Bosses?
Yes, much so.
It's pretty appalling that most of the bosses in Twilight Princess took about a minute to beat. But don't think Wind Waker's off the hook; they were all pushovers too.

Re: Harder Bosses?
OoT's bosses were way too easy... MM was a step in the right direction, but it didn't go far enough. And while WW's bosses are harder than OoT's and TP's, they're still easier than MM's, so it was technically a step in the wrong direction... And then, TP's bosses were the easiest of all...

Re: Harder Bosses?
I'd like some difficulty so long as it's not cheaply done. Few things irritate me more than developers creating bosses that have ridiculous amounts of health and/or an attack that can basically one-hit you and passing them off as "challenging" or "difficult."
If you're going to make a boss more challenging, do it in a way that's innovative and fun, like Goht from Majora's Mask.

Re: Harder Bosses?
I like the ridiculous amount of health and attack that can one hit you enemies. I mean, if you are a Bokoblin, Link has a ridiculous amount of health (you'd have to hit him 40 times...), and an attack that can one hit you (Great Spin). Why can't the tables be reversed, just once, so we can prove that Link is better than a Bokoblin because of his (our?) intelligence.

Re: Harder Bosses?
Here's what I REALLY don't want:
1. Get x item in dungeon 2. Get to boss 3. Use x item to defeat boss 4. SUCCESS Seriously. They've been rehashing that formula since OoT which makes it painstakingly obvious how you need to defeat a boss. Why not a combination of techniques (and I don't mean x item and sword) and strategies? TP's bosses were SO easy since ALL of the bosses followed that simple formula. |

Re: Harder Bosses?
Uh okay then...anyways,the bosses should be way harder especially after the "beginer" temples are over you know what to do and like really.Bongo-Bongo was done in four slashes with no hearts lost.Pitifal.The dungeons are hard and the bosses, the envy of the dungeons or the protectors, should be way harder. It makes no semse to have a boss like OoT King Dodongo.
