difficulty change

hmm i think that in the next zelda well obviously the one for the wii. i was thinking like how about in the next zelda they can have a secret difficulty like after you beat the game not only wiill this difficulty be harder but more challenging in a way like i was thinking enemys maybe have better armor, stronger weapons, more agile, and like instead of fighting two at once youll fight 4 i think it would be a great idea it would also give the game a good replay value so yeah thats wat i think but feel free to post other ideas or what you think about this

Re: difficulty change

Hm, honestly it does sound like a pretty good idea, and would be awesome.
I guess it's just not a Zelda thing. ;/

I'd love this idea, it would be great because once a veteran beats the game they can play a game that is truly challenging for them while a newcomer would be able to see how much better they got after beating their first Zelda game! All in all a good idea.

Re: difficulty change

You mean something similar to what they did with OoT and making it into a Master's Quest version?

I would like that to come back to be honest, to the new games.

TP was just too easy.

Re: difficulty change

The thing about Zelda, it'd be hard to change the difficulty, because all round imho it's a fairly easy game, it's just really the puzzles which can occasionally strike a challenge. I think in order to alter difficulty level, they'd ultimately have to remake about half of the game, in order to pose a real challenge - same thing they did with Ocarina of Time/Master Quest. Master Quest was a disappointment in my opinion though, it was a good game, but I expected more from it. The only thing more challenging in the game was Spirit Temple I thought.

It would be good for it to have higher difficulty levels, but I believe that it'd be limited to what they can actually do, without altering the game.

It HAS been that way, but if they implement better enemy placement and make the enemies stronger and more agile, then it doesn't have to be that way at all!

Also, LoZ and AoL had pretty much no real puzzles, the entire challenge was with the enemies.

But yeah, I've seen that in dozens of games so far, it's pretty much the next-best thing after just a difficulty selection. Hell, most great games allow you to choose easy or normal in the beginning and then you unlock hard by beating it once, and it works out pretty well most of the time.

I'd just hope that normal wasn't way too easy, though, I wouldn't want the only difficulty to be reserved for replays : \

Re: difficulty change

Um, LoZ did this. I think it would be cool to bring back the second quest.
