No more water Dungeons, like the Water Temple in Oot or Great Bay in MM.

Instead, more inovative dungeons like Stone Tower or City in the Sky

Or Snowpeak. That was pretty innovative, even if it was technically a normal Zelda dungeon disguised as a mansion.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

I want the exact opposite of TP's Temple of Time. It was a great idea and had tons of potential, but it basically has one pathway that you go through, then you get the Dominion Rod, then you use the statue to get back through the same pathway and fight the ridiculously easy boss. It was way too linear. I want a very nonlinear dungeon, where you can unlock doors in different orders, etc. I suppose a good example of that would be OoT's Forest Temple, although it's still way too easy. They need dungeons with that kind of nonlinearity, but a lot more difficult.

TP's ToT was like WW ToTG.

I've said this before, but....

A ZU dungeon so we can fight evil monsters like Silver and Red. The evil boss corrupting the place could be the evil WM Cody.

My least favorite levels are usually the ones with many pitfalls and obstacles...but they're been absent for a while and I miss them. Sooo, levels with jumping themes

Also illusions are still cool.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

We need a strip club themed dungeon. The special item would be a dollar bill that you can spend on the strippers and the final boss is the bouncer, when he realizes Link is underage.

I don't think Link is underage in this one, though. Maybe. Maybe he is.

I want s back.

Gah! Crystal switches the culprit to all of my problems! D= Omg, those things have caused me so much pain...But yeah, a return to crystal switches would make the level come alive by altering all the walls to a dungeon. The Temple of Time did that a little bit.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

I was thinking a dungeon shaped like a coliseum. There would be a large statue in the middle that has whatever the heck Link wants. So he goes throughout this coliseum dungeon trying to get to the statue. Maybe there could be smaller coliseums around the main one where Link fights gladiator-like monsters, like a Moblin with a trident and a net or something. When Link finds the dungeon item and heads into the coliseum, the massive statue Link has been trying to get to becomes alive and Link has fights it.

And we've seen water temples that have done all sorts of variations on the same theme. OoT's had you raised the water level, MM's had you change the current, TP had you restore the water flow. How about a Water Temple where you do something with water pressure?

For me, I would love to have a Temple. It should be mixed too, like a Forest Temple mixed with some kind of Shadow Temple,(except in the Shadow Temple it shows just a graveyard except with all of thost obsticales.), so like when you play it, you just find yourself in a lost place, until you come across a graveyard with a whole bunch of spirits charging at you. XD

I loved the Shadow Temple. It would be great to see something like that return.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

I would like to see some optional things to do in dungeons, like only a part of the rooms are actually needed, but if you actually take more time, you can go to other rooms to find useful treasures, this might sound a bit Metroid-ish, but maybe rooms that aren't shown on the map, if you find them you could get some upgrades, or just rupees or wathever.

I would like too see something back that I don't think they've done lately, only by getting the map in a dungeon you can check the map and actually have the minimap on the corner of the screen, and only with the compass being able to tell your position.

Also, something that was kind of useful in LA, the compass made a noise when you entered a room hiding a key.

Or temperature, that would seem kind of likely to me, you could have regular temperature, on wich you can swim and dive normally, something more cold, wich could freeze it, and a very hot temperature wich could affect some obstacles and monsters, and maybe even hurt you.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

Something diffrent like a ruin with various indoor and outdoor areas that crumbles and changes as you go, Its diffrent from the usual temples, and upon returning NPC's have taken over safe rooms near the entrance and start digging the site making the dungeon a useful aspect of the storyline other then a one time dungeon, arbiter's grounds touched on this "Useful" dungeon idea outside a one time Link dive.

Re: What would you want for the next zelda dungeon? (new/old)

I like that idea. I think it would be cool to be able to destroy parts of dungeons to drastically change them and allow you to continue. Sort of like Level 7 in LA, where you destroy the pillars and the fourth floor falls into the third floor. I also like the idea of dungeons still having a purpose after you complete them.

I'd like to see a dungeon you explore with a partner, with rooms that can only be reached with the partners help.
