Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
No-one knows.
There are two dominant theories at the moment - one is that she is indeed the Fairy Queen, based on her resemblance to the character in the Wind Waker, while the other is that she is the Master Sword, based on the fact that Link has no sword (which Miyamoto said was an important clue), and some design similarities between the girl and the MS. |

Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
i think she is the fairy queen, just on the CT.
since we did only see her on the AT, this is very posible. well, i havent really placed FSA on a timeline yet, and she does show up there, but idk if thats on the CT or the AT. edit: now thinking about it, i think that FSA is on the new land of hyrule,which is on the CT. So this fairy queen could be the fairy queen on the adult timeline, just older and with different responsibilities?

That and the only really resemblance she has to the fairy queen is the head, everything else, aswell as the head, makes her look like the Master Sword (and Miyamoto saying Link not having a sword in the poster was important) |

Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
ok, well we all know about the split after OoT.
And in the AT, we see her as the fairy queen as a child. And the game after OoT and MM on the CT, we dont see her at all. So if this game did take place after TP, then it would make sense that she would look older. Also, at the split after OoT, she became the Queen of Fairys in the AT. But maybe instead of becoming the Queen of Fairys in the CT, the different events allowed this fairy to become fairy of the master sword/spirit of the master sword/whatever.

Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
well, there is no real way of knowing this. thats why its a theory.
duhh. Ok, if you are correct and she was also the fairy queen in OoT, then maybe the goddesses decided they needed someone they could trust to guard the master sword, so they picked the fairy queen.

Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
The thing is;
1- There is nothing to assume the fairy queen wasn't around before OoT and is thus in both timelines 2- There is nothing to assume that the girl is the fairy queen just because they both look similar. Basically, Nintendo reuses characters in many roles and in some cases use some elements from one character and put it into another. The girl may look alot like the fairy queen but it doesn't mean that she actually is her. If she is a fairy then I am sure the goddesses made her separate from the queen. |

Re: The Girl on the Zelda Wii Poster...
I already said there is no reason for her having a different role just because she is in a different timeline.
