You know, I like this idea. It's well thought out and shows potential. However, there is one nagging issue:

Your grammar is atrocious to the point where it's difficult to read. Run all of this through MS Word or something before posting it.

Well, I often rush at the end of chapter, so that paired with the fact that I'm from finland = not good combination. (I have studied english only few years) I try to keep an eye on it. (I'm currently writing with my cellphone)

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

I'm kinda stuck in the Gust Palace, so I add temple this time. And now, it's time for the scary thing of this game, Unknown ruins. (Dungeon number 8)

Unknown ruins

These ruins are very mystical, filled with sand and the spirits of past travellers. The voices can be still heard, and screams and mumbling is in every floor of these ruins. Often shadows can be seen in the walls, but if you turn around you see nothing. Sometimes you can note, that appeared from nowhere, dead zombied hand tries to grab you.

The thing here is that the place tries to creep you out, other than that, this place has very tough enemies, and difficult puzzles. The place has lots of sand, which makes it difficult to move around. There are some skulls in there, ad some things that you don't wan't to know. (Helmet, that shrinks if put on head, or spiky chamber which starts to close up after a lever is pulled)

The enemies here are various. It has shadows, that will run to you, and you can only see the shadow of it in the ground, Redeads, and even Daknuts.

The miniboss here is Darknut Knight, very strong variaion of Darknut, and the item is Rod of time. The boss here is Messenger of Darkness, Garathon.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Since I''m lazy, I now leave the temple for unexplained. However, the temple is quite large. It revolves around main chamber, where there are 3 switches. Each of them must be hit with Korok Wand, so door in the main chamber would open. This temple has many enemies, new enemies include Dynalfoses and Wind spirits. There are of course some gyustes too.

However, the msot notable thing about this temple is, that it is very grand. It has grand statues, big doors, and lots of great halls.

The second big thing, the most important here, is that the temple has 5 "shrines". These each are zones with no enemies, and which are residence of one of the races of Huryle. Each race protects one piece of the Spirit key to acces the main hall of the temple. The first one, which you arrive as soon as you enter the temple, is the home of Hylians. It is smilar to the temple, but it is in much better condition. (the temple is ruined)

The second key is found within Gorons room. It is more natural, almost cavy. Thhe third one is found within Zoras hall. The rom here is pretty nice. It holds the old statues, lots of water, and many waterfalls. The fourth one, is at heights, the hall of Koroks. You note that here there are lots of trees and roots. Ruins are covered by trees, and there is little stream going through.

The last part is right under the Sacred hall. It is the home of Gerudos. One Gerudo lives here. He tolds you about some history of his people, (More on that in the later parts of the story) and how Gerudos are abandoned. You obtain the last key shard though, and you now have the key to the Sacred chamber. Before that, you must however obtian bow.

Ridcal

Ridcal is like flying swordsman. He doesn't actually fly, but his leaps are so high that he glides easily. He is imposible to hurt when he's grounded, but when he is in air, he's vulnreable.

In the first phase, you must Aim him with your Boomerang, so he falls down. When he has fallen, try to hit him again. However, the tricky part is that he catches the Boomerang this time. Boomerang flies back to you. You get dragged with the boomerang and crash against the wall. You lose 1 heart if you do this, so don't do this. Instead, put on your Iron boots, and then catch the boomerang. Ridcal now flies all the way bakc. In the last minute, he recovers. This time, he uses different technique.

This time Ridcal uses his Bow near the ceiling of the room. You must manually aim, which is difficult. Hit him twice, and he falls down. He takes sword in hand, and starts to swordfight you.

Ridcal is quite difficult to defeat at swordfight, because of his agility. However, with celver techniques you can defeat him. After 20 hits, he falls down. You obtain Bow, and you can now leave the room.

Comments, thoughts and other things always appreciaded. Next: Cyclonic Dragon Lufters.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Okay... The last boss of the first 4 temples. You have gone long way since you entered Zoras den. And now, face the boss. The door to the boss chamber, is in ledge at the top parts of the temple, outside. It has two big statues of somekinds of spirits, wielding mystical objects in their hands. Above them is third spirit. Open the door with your newly fixed Boss key, and the stone door opens splitting from middle. Enter the boss chamber.

Cyclonic Dragon, Lufters

At the start, you note that the boss chamber is not in good shape. Many walls are ruined, and the roof has collapsed to ground. It's very easy to slip off the floor due to many holes in the floor. Some ruined roof parts make it harder to move. The long walls have again some staues, this time of yong boys. In the end you see statue of The same boy you saw in the two guardian statues in the begginning of Stairway to heaven. The statues are crumbeled except the large one, which is in perfect condition, like it would have been just made. It's silent, until your hear hump. Hump. Giant Red dragon descends down.

In the first stage, you see how it flies above the arena. It breaths fire to you (2 hearts), Blows Whirlwinds on you to make you fall out (1½ heart), and can try to catch you (3 hearts). It has also dangerous combo, where it blows you with Whirlwinds and fires at same time. If you Use Iron boots, you get hurt by Flamethrower, if you don't, you easily slip off. Because Lufters is so high, you cannot L-target it. Instead, you must manually aim him. It's very challenging, since he moves all the time. If you fire him 3 times with your Bow, where one shot must be in middle body, within 10 seconds, you see how the dragon falls down. Hack the crystal in his back for 20 strikes, and the second stage begins.

In phase 2, you'll see how the dragon rage has made some of the walls fall down bit more. The gustes from the skies will make shooting arrows very difficult, since the winds throws them wildly. The dragon is now higher in the sky. He can attack you with the same techniques as in stage one, but also with crumbling the arena by shattering stones. He can also use his winds to create fiery whirwinds and thunderjolts (2 hearts each). You see that it is impossible to hrut the dragon bu ground. Instead, go near one of the statues. Wait for the dragon to collapse some of the stone close to the statue. Now climb up. There is windy zone that you can feel, about halfway height of the statue, use boots here and avoid fiery breath. When you are up, you feel no wind. Here try to shoot the crystal of the dragon. If you want to slow the dragon down, fire some arrows to its body. When you fire the crystal (Without targeting), the dragon falls down, and it's time to action. There are 7 spikes each needing 6 strokes. Prepare for some long battle.

After the last spike, the dragon finally gives up. It madly rages around the arena rampaging, but then it falls down. The crystal forms into The last elemental stone; Ametist of Gusts. The body is transformed into Heart container, that you can pick up. You see spirit near the throne, that is beneath the largest statue, so walk there. Spirit of noble Hylian man is there he talks.

"Hero, chosen by gods.. Obviously no other force can give you such strenght to overcome all the obstacles. I'm the King of Red Lions, the sailor of the misty seas, who once has lived in this land long long ago.. I know the answer that you seek. Sail to the western edges of this world, and find the Tower of the Gods. There, you see where your adventure shall you bring. I'm happy that all good isn't gone from this world. Someone who is brave enough to withstand the terrors of this world, has once again born. History is repeating itself, but for how long?.. That depends on you. onwards you shall go, but be quick. The winds hgave whispered me once again that great evil has now gone step further... go."

He creates port, where you can go. Before, Zoan says all the necessary stuff after the boss battle. He also says that now is the time to rush. Time is running out, so you must act quickly.

Comments, mind boglers and other things appreciaded.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Well, this game has now gone through 4 dungeons... More than I could ever imagine in the start. The overworld has changed in the way too. I'm no going to post brief summary what has happened.

---

Link left his village, and was captured. He was taken to Mountain prison, where he needed to escape. After this, he was clashed with spiritual creature, Zoan. With the aid of Zoan, Link now boggled through Mountain prison. From the inormation of Zoan, he now knew that he needed to seek the 4 sacred stones. for one, he traveled southern into the world, where he found Zoras. He broke through Zoras Den, and defeaded the monster inside of it. He obtained his first stone, Aquatic Saphire.

After this, the task was him to go more northern into the mountains, and search for Gorons. Their Volcano, which was restless, needed to be calmed. Link solved the puzzles of Goron crater, and obtained the second stone, Ruby of fire. The progress was great, but he didn't have any place to go. He went to Forlana town, where he guided soldiers through the lands of Hyrule to Ganfol village. The monsters attacking the village were slain, and from Rofer, hiker who had just moved to the village, he obtained Teliarns pass. Link now had access to Korok woods. He went to there, and found the beauty of the forest. After many different obstacles, he finally defeated Parasitial demon Florentia, terrifyingly evil creature living beneath the forest. The forest was purified, and Link obtained the Emerald of Forest.

However, while he knew where to search the 3 stones which were left behind by the 3 sacred tribes, he couldn't find the last stone. After many questions, he found Fado, Kokiri who had passed away long long ago. With his help, he found out, that the highest peak o this world, Gonlarn hid secret. After climbing out to the top of the world, and standing on the top of Gonlarn, he stepped up the Stairway to heaven. He went through difficult obstacles in the ancient palace, and in the meanwhile learned much about the history of this world. In the end, however he needed to face the evil of this temple. In the highest chamber, he dueled against Cyclonic dragon lufters. He slained the beast, and finally obtained the last stone. But where should the destiny throw him now? Time will tell...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Wow. This is a really detailed fangame. I especially like the bosses- while many of them have a straightforward weakness and strategy in general, the varied attack patterns and such make them seem really sweet. It's kind of like LttP's bosses in 3D form- while they're no big deal to figure out, actually dealing with their onslaught takes real skill. The worldbuilding is intricate and well-done, too. It's a worthy successor to the old Hyrule, from what I can tell. The combination of a WW-like sea and a deep mainland is great, too.

My main gripe, though, is that the story doesn't make sense in the timeline. From what has specifically been confirmed by Aonuma and Miyamoto, WW and TP are on distinct timelines, so you can't have it be 50-100 years after TP and base its backstory so heavily on WW. From what I've seen, you're very capable at worldbuilding, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to retcon in an original plot. The gaping plotholes (not internally but in series context) make it difficult to envision in the timeline.

For one thing, you really can't have Ganondorf as the main villain after WW, nor can the Master Sword appear. Ganondorf, the MS, and the Triforce were all sealed under the Great Sea at the end of WW, so it's really impossible to use these elements in the story at all- Aonuma officially laid these to rest in the AT. Similarly, the pearls and Tower of the Gods can't be reconciled easily with the fact that you have a large mainland- maybe the Deku Tree spread a continent, but that'd make it hard to place the Tower of the Gods in the sea. I suggest retaining much of WW's sea, at least in order to connect this with the new continent by waterway. Connect the sea around WW Link and Tetra's "new land"/Hyrule to the part of the Great Sea with the Tower of the Gods, and cut out Ganon/dorf and the Master Sword in favor of a different villain (or perhaps Ganon in a less direct form). As it stands, you need to square this with the canon.

On the other hand, everything about your game's mechanics, items, and setting is very well worked out, and the new additions plus the increased difficulty make for a really exciting project. I skimmed over a lot of the gameplay/setting, but from what I've seen it's shaping up to be something great.

And also maybe comment on my Destiny's Hand project please?

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Thanks alot TVTmaster. I don't know where I said this was 50 -100 years after Twilight Princess, but if it's near the beginning parts, it should be forgotten. After these parts I would say centuries after WW. In that time I imagine that people from other lands have moved it, and have vanished away the old Hylians. As the title says, they are now lost civiliation.

About Ganondorf. I didn't know about what Anouma said. In my imagination, he was laid in the seafloor, and from there, while being immobile, he could still take minds in control. With using the powers of those minds, he freed himself. He became Ganondorf again. However, the goddish power was lost from him. That's why he couldn't attack straight. He took in control of the abandoned monsters and wildmen in the mountains, and started to plan out the attack against Huryle. He actually now used his magic, now more powerful than any mortal. However, he didn't have Triforce anymore. That's why I said any mortal.

Well, some of Ganondorfs character and motives are in later parts, so nomore peeks anymore. I now try to focus on the story more.
