Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Well, that I'm not so sure about. Anyway, continuing with the temple.

Goron crater

The temple is not as quite complicated as aquatic den. You must wear Goron armor all the times exept few rooms, but other than those you would be losing helath very quickly.

When you enter the temple you are in room filled with lava. There are few rocky standpoints, and little platforms that pop out of the lava. these little platforms fall apart quite quickly, so make your way to the other end of the room by using the rocky islands as resting points. One of the platforms has chest with red rupee on it.

Open the door and you'll see some Keese and fire bubbles in the air. In the end of the room is new enemy: Flare. The room consist Grided platforms swinging up and down and back and forth. *Make your way to the door which is up, and you'll see the flare. The flare is usually fiery flame dashing through the air. It moves similar to boomerang. Later these can be real nuicance in critical points. Flare must be dodged and then slashed. Four hits will dispose it, or one hit from bomb. If it jumps to the lava before being killed, it will rejuvinate.

The next room is quite big and multistaged. The room has many doors, and some switches which control different things. Make your way to the door at second floor. Here you'll see long room with some blades and axes swinging. Make your way to the other end of the room, light two torches with sticks, and then open the chest for key. But problem! The door shuts behind you. All you have to do is to carry one of the pots with water to the torches, and throw them into them. You can return. Now go towards the center, and climb ladders. You'll end up in narrow grid pathway. You must be very careful with this. Walk through locked door, and you'll arrive in curvy room with rocky platforms and some temporary ones. It's recomended to use the same trick as in WW: throw water into the lava to form platform. use this tactic to get to the other end of the room, and open the door. Here'll you'll see lava dripping from the ceiling, Quickly escape upwards along ramp. Use few pots to form platforms to escape from some gappy places. Beware the Flares that bounce here. When you are up, you'll see that the room is filled to the upmost floor with lava. If you didn't take the chest with purple rupee here, you cannot get it anymore. Anyway, in the upmost floor there is little pool of lava now. It has some flares rising from it. but you should go through the door.

The next room is smallish circular room. The room has lava around it. It has new type of enemy: Gust. Gust can blow you easily into the lava, so you must use Iron boots. they do not damage thoubgh anymmore than 174 heart themself. 5 hits from sword will dispatch them. the bad thing about gust's is, that they can team up with flares. When flares are inside Gust's, they deal 1 heart damage. Ouch. Kill all the Flurst, gust, and flare, and you'll see that a chest appears. This chest holds Key. Proceed the door which has beams raised. You are back in the main room, in the third floor. You'll notice that you are in new pathway. Walk down and you run to grid wall. this wall doesn't fall when rolled into. Put your boots on, and sidestep to it. This breaks it down, making it nice bridge to the center stage of the room. Here there are few Bokoblins, some bubbles and fire keese. Walk up the ladders, and you are in the fourth floor of the room. Although here there is only one switch. Press it, and you'll lower one platform in the air. This becomes grid that connects the first floor where you entered and the center area. All you have to do now is to go to the bridge, climb upwards, and pretty soon you are in the first breakppoint of the bridge, the second floor. here there are some general enemies, but further you'll notice one Dodongo. These monsters have bombable skin to protect them. Later you'll can use your own bombs, but this time use bombplant. throwing it to the protective amrour off. Now wait for t's fiery flamethrower to fire, and get behind it. The dodongo can still move, and is actually quite swift. 10 blows to the tail and it's gone.
Walk through the locked door.

You'll arrive in room filled with rotating and swinging platforms. You'll have to time your movements so you can reach the other side of the room, to find chest with key. Now drop from the platform you stand on, and fall down. You'll reach platforms directly under it. Walk through unlocked door and you are in wet room. Water. This room has water pool. It also does not have heat so you can take Goron tunic off. Kill some Tektites if you want, and swim. Go underwater, swim through few gates, and go upwards. Surface and climb ladders. Walk upwards and you are in bigger than average door. Open it, put Goron tunic on and prepare for fight with MINIBOSS!

Bolandos

Bolandos is first simple flare. But it gets ugly when he flashes around the arena. Many flares come to him, and they fuse into flaming monstrous humanlike form. Bolandos has flaming sword and flaming whip. The sword is powerful and deals 1 heart damage. The Whip is as powerful and is ranged, which can deal 1 heart damage too. If you don't fight back, the whip can pull you in lava, which is instant game over. However, just tap B and the whip lets go. Get close to Bolandos, dodge his sword and get behind to strike him. it takes 10 blows to get to the second stage.

In the second stage, Bolandos takes his Whip and sword, and fuses them into wand. This wand can set Fireballs (1 heart/hit) or Flamethrower (½ heart/second in effect, lasts 3 seconds). The method to attack is similar to first stage. If you are close, he may swing the wand for ½ heart damage. Hit him for 15 Hp, and he starts to explode. This explosion sends multiple fireballs and shockwaves of fire to dash around. Hit each fireball once and doge the shockwaves by backflipping to avoid damage. When all those are killed the body fells to the ground and separates into many flares. Kill them and you'll see that there is chest to open. Inside is BOMBS! These are very handy little things to use.

More coming soon! Again, comments are hoped. Next time: more Goron crater and the boss; Ancient statue Arathor.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Exit the boss room by blowing up the rock on the other side of the room. This reveals door which you can walk. The next room is cool room. (No GT) Here are few pots and some rupee chestes. After you have restored with hearts, use the ladders to climb up. You are now in the topmost floor of the temple. Go to the left and you'll come to room with some dodongos, keese and bubbles. The room has in the middle circular area, which has heavy wheel on top of it. Go up to the wheel using ramp, and then throw bomb to the wheel center. The wheel crashes down through the floor. It is now platform in the lava. Walk through this lava filled room while avoiding the zooming flares. You arrive to door. Open the door, and you'll notice another room which has 5 Elite bokoblins and 3 Flurst (Flaregust). Kill them all, open the appearing chest for purple rupee and walk through the door.

You are in the main room, in the topmost floor. Here you'll see a paltform in the middle. The platform has a hole in it. Throw a bomb down the hole. The whole middle column will explode. It has now shaft to walk up and down using ladders. Descend to the second floor, and bomb down a wall. New area opens, so walk the bridge. Open the door and you'll arrive in circular room. This room has few tracks which have blades tracking them. The room has big column in the middle of it. You must blow up the heavy blades, so the circular area rise. When you have destroyed them all, you'll encounter the column top which has 4 Flurst and chest in it. Kill the flurst so you can walk through the opened door. The next room holds another swinging platforms. These platforms move up and down too. The test here is the test of speed. You must hit two red orbs with bombs within 30 seconds. When you manage, new platform starts two move. Open the locked door. The next room is simply some enemies, and some lava riding with water platforms. Open the door to reveal that you are in the main room again.

Bomb down wall to make it into a bridge. If you dash into another, youäll get handy shortcut. Jump down to the newly opened bridge. Walk through door to find some dodongos. Walk through this corridor which has no door. Wait! No door? Well, the naswer is to bomb all the dodongos down, and then few heavy statues. The platfrom will rise, and you'll find nook where you can go through. The next room is big one. It holds Lot of flaares, and griddy maze. The maze has some steady and some bombable walls. Go through the maze while avoiding flares, and get some water to walk over gaps. In the end, there is door elading do circular room. Remember the miniboss Bolandos? Well here are two smaller versions of them. While they do only half the damage, there are two and they are quicker. Kill them as you did before to get the BOSS KEY! This key is really fantastic.

Walk up ladders and enter door. You are in the main room again. Here you'll must walk down a cave. This is simple straightforward cave. you are in the other side of the room, where you can bomb down a rock protecting door. Enter this room which is circulary, going down and having enemies on the way. Kill last 4 Dodongos, and a gate opens to simple columned pathway. Play the Harmonic fire and fire calms from the boss door. smash some pots, and enter the boss room.

Ancient statue Arathor

When you enter the room, you'll see a big pile of rocks and flames around the room. But the pile of rock rumbles... It takes the shape of giant fourlegged beast, wide, and the flames enter him. Name of the boss and title appear. The boss roars and the battle begins.

Phase 1

In the first stage, the boss isn't very agile. It shoots Fireballs and flamethrowers from it's mouth, and tries to stomp you. Fireball does 1½ heart damage, while serial fireball (4 balls) does ½ heart each. Flamethrower (3 seconds) does ½ heart/second. Stomp does 1 heart damage. What you must do, is to wait for stomp, and quickly place bomb underneath the stomping feet. The leg explodes, and the head lowers. do the same to the other leg. Now, dodge the flamy attacks, and when he takes breath, throw swiftly bomb to his mouth. Do this second time, and the beast falls... But. The battle isn't over.

Phase 2
IN phase two, the beast is little more agile, this time, he can also use his back legs. The new attack is Tail whip, which does 2 hearts damage. You must now hit each leg once with same technique as before, and then hit the tail. After this, trow bomb to the beast's mouth. The head will fall, and you can hack him. 20 hits will put him out of comission, so it's probably two - three cycled. When he awakes, the legs and tail will retaliate too.

When the battle ends, the monster is shattered into dust, which forms Ruby of Flames. The head will shatter into heart container. Teleport will appear, and Zoan will congratulate you. You are teleported into Gor Hogos house.

As always, comments appreciaded.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Thanks

I have not done anything too deep except that I have lots of notes in my computer. I could mkae some artwork, since I have very clear vision of the enemies, bosses and other things in my head.

Although, my graphic skills aren't the best.

That was not a bad idea, I think it wouldn't be half bad as a new Zelda game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Big News

Shainewilliams is now my unofficial arty. He can make some art to this idea, and the first pictures can be be seen as soon as he can finish. Keep an eye on the topic!

Another thing, because I'm quite lazy now, instead of new chapter, you get preview of the coming dungeons.

Korok woods

Korok woods is forest themed dungeon of the game. The dungeon is based on big tree, that you can travel around and inside. It has some scale problems and different puzzles. The item here is the Korok Wand. This quite powerful item can suck power from plants and monsters. The power can then be used to do spells, and in here, move some things. (For example, power up moving platform) The dungeon is not too long, maybe little shorter than Goron crater. The boss here is Parasitial demon, Florentia.

Gust palace

Gust Palace is seemingly more difficult than the 3 temples before. It is quite complex, has stronger enemies and can be confusing. The different thing here is, that the temple has merchants. In this temple you must trade things between them. In the progress you receive boss key, vital item. The item here is Bow, which comes handy in the way. The merchants are scattered throughout the dungeons, appearing in calm rooms, similar to too Goron elders in TP. The boss here is Cyclonic dragon, Lufters. He is notably harder than the bosses you have faced before, making this the first more difficult dungeon in the game.

Dietys temple
This underwater temple is very old. However, it is on your first visit still in quite good condition. The temple has Darknuts, Stalfoses and many other very powerful enemies. The thing here is to fight again the 4 minibosses of the game, except they do more damage this time. The minibosses each have their own subdungeon, that has enemies from the dungeon before. When you defeat all the minibosses and offer all the stones to the gods, the door in the middle brokes down. It has dungeony end, until you arrive to Ohantom Ganon, which is the boss of this dungeon. Overall, you can see lots of similarities between this and Ganons tower.

The second time you come here, you notice that the place is broken and falling apart. You must use Rod of time in here lots of times to continue. Yo notice that the big door is sealed again. There are also new doors appeared. These doors hold the subdungeons of the pearl dungeons. In the end, you have to fight stronger miniboss. The end dungeon has stronger enemies, and in the end you'll fight Phantom Ganon, which is more difficult this time.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

The chaos
As you return from the Goron village, Gor Hogo tells that he doesn't know anything about the third stone, but recomends you to get to Forlana town. So travel down, and you'll notice that there are some armies moving towards Acuteon. You can talk to them, and they tell that Forlana has sent troops to sides of the Huryle. Take Epona and ride to there. You'll notice that the big barracks on the southern side of the town. It has fire coming from it. Go to the bar, and you can see woman from your homelands, Rofer is sitting there. She tells you that she is sent to leavfe message for the royal family, because Ganfol is under attack of monsters from the northern prison. She tells you that they don't listen to her, so maybe Link could help. Zoan appears and says, that even though you won't leave the stones, the village must be saved. She tells that the guardsmen won't probably know about Links actions, but the royal family has heard the news from Gorons and Zoras. So you decide to plan.

While Rofer is complaining about the security of the streets, you must climb up wall, where you must walk the narrow path quietly. When you reach small crawling hole, crawl through it, and you're on the other side of the gate. You are now in the castle garden, so walk forward. the door is closed, so open it. You end up in long hall, with carved statues of kings on the path. Walk forward and you'll see the throne. But the throne is empty! Mysterious dark suited man appears. He says that princess is not fine now, an he is the Governor of Huryle. He talks.

"The boy clothed in green... You may know this but the land is under attack. The men have carried to defend every corner of Huryle. And while our soldiers die, who is left to defend us, Zoras? They have abandoded us for centuries ago, and now only care of their own wealth. Gorons are slow, and they have no force to bring an army together. Koroks, those magicians of Teliarn, they won't let anybody to speak with them. And what is against us? The prison in the north, has lighted up again and now sends monsters and horseback riders to us. And from the sea, the pirates have gathered their ships. They want to rule Huryle. We need the ancient hero to appear again, to wash away darkness and despair. While our halls may not be as beatiful as them, or our towers not as tall as them, the spirit of Huryle still lives within us. With the force of united people, we can crush our enemies, even if it would kill ourselfes."

"So boy...Clothed in green. Take 15 men from the barracks to defend your village, but take no more. We need all the support we have to defend here. The prison has already sent troops here. Take 15 men, no more."

The guardsmen take you and let you walk out. Walk to the barracks. The fire in there is glowing in red, and you'll notice lots of soldiers in there. Talk to the leader of the camp, and he calls out the 15 men for you. Rofer comes and says, that we need atleast 10 good to make it to Ganfol.

"You have done good job, Link. I ask you one more service, to make sure that these men get to Ganfol. T'her eour villagers willl take care of them, would you?"

You are teleported into Huryle field. You have claculator on teh bottom of the screen to see how many of the soldiers are alive. If more than 5 die, you must restart again. It costs 5 rupees for one additional soldier after first try. The path is really simple, right through the Fields of Huryle. It ends up in quick detour through mountain path, where there are archers. The soldiers can defend little themselves, but you should really do all the job. When you are in the mountains, walk through little path that goes upwards, and kill the archers from behind. Then you must attract the bowmen on the other side. Dodge the arrows, and the soldiers can pass. You have little more to walk, and you can see Ganfol.

Rofer thanks you.

"Your help wa priceless. while the soldiers are here, they can help against the monsters. To help you..."

"Monsters"

The scream is coming from scout coming from north. The soldiers and you march to fight them. The army consists of some Crablins in the front and bokoblins in the middle. In the back there are Gohzals, new type of enemy. Gohzals are shadowy creatures which have no physical form, only their shadows. You must bomb ghostzals shadow, and it becames real. Gohzals real form is like gliding dark fog which has black sword in it's hand. Strike from this does 1 heart damage, and Gohzals take 10 strikes to kill. There are about 5 Gohzals, 10 Bokoblins, 10 Elite Bokoblins and 20 Crablins in the troops. In addition, there are Bokoblin archers on the back, which fire arrows. Few Horses have Elite bokoblins on their backs. The troops are now rested, and they are better to fight than in the journey from Forlana. They form in the fields, north from Ganfol. While they are better, you should still be the main guy in this battle. As you can see, there are still about 3-4 times the monsters than you have soldiers.

If you manage to win the battle, you are returned to the village.

"Link, that battle would be also lost without you. With this in mind, I may grant you something I obtained in my travels."

He gives you something that looks like necklace, glowing green.

"This neclace is the Teliarns pass. It allows you to get to the Koroks. Link, I know that you need to rescue those stones, I learned from them many years ago... But i didn't have the strenght. Take this, and leave quick."

You are automaticly on Epona, and you can ride now to the southern part of the map. Enter the Forest of Teliarn.

love to see some comments again. This chapter has lot of the situation revealed, the fight being example that there are fights in nonLink world too. The battles get harder though.

The weapon making is completely optional. You can play the whole game with the swords you get around the plot.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Forest of Teliarn

Before the forest you see two houses and one burned longer away. The citizens tell that monsters from mountains are attacking them. The forest has kept them away, because they're afraid of it. But now, some have even came and burned down houses. We're afraid that we're next.

Forest of teliarn is big forest in the southern of the map. It has one river crossing it, flowing through the woods. When you enter te forest, you notice that the forest is old. The trees go as high as eye can see, and they form few paths there and there. You notice that the air has something in it, and the trees seem to whisper at eachother. The music here is ghostly, and eerie. The forest has no enemies at all, but sometimes you see a Korok running quickly to the leaves. Some of the trees are so old, that they have giant roots where you can walk into earth.

The woods are quite thick, and it's quite non-linear. The area alone here is very big, bigger than the fields. Eventually however, you should see the music getting richer. Walk forward to see huge tree, incredibly massive, with staircases surrounding it. This tree has lots of movement in it, The Koroks either float down or walk tingling at the staircases. These wooden stairs surround these trees, and sometimes jump to another tree like in the form of magic. If you have seen Lothlorien in the Lord of the rings movie, you would say it's something like this.

The trees have also homes in their bases, where the roots form holes. These holes have some Koroks inside, and in one hole, a nook hides map. Otherwise, climb up around the staircases. The stairs seem t go up endlessly, but at last, you should be on the topmost hall, which is ornamented with wooden sculptures and tingling jewels. In the middle you see Belou, the emperor of Koroks.

"Welcome, human. While I see that you carry the ancient neclace, in my memory, longer than the civilization of this land, I cannot remember when I have given you thee token of our gratefulness. Answer now, or the forest may no longer accept you within in its borders."

(Rofer, Stolen, and Zoras appear, answer Rofer)

"Rofer.. I remember her. That young human, filled with curiosity and will of explorition.. She once saved one of our beloved trees. We gave him that neclace. And now it has been given to you, boy clothed in green... Why did she give it to you?"

(Stone, charcoal and money appear, choose stone)

"Stone. The stone. You shouldn't speak about that within our borders. The stone that you seek, has been sealed to one of our trees. But the stone, with its will took the tree to its control. It took seven years to calm the tree, and it was fatal to many of our trees. The lifes taken by that stones are unreplaceable. However, I know that you do need it, since I know from the dark king."

"Years ago, so far ago that only few can remember it, an eivl king ruled this land. Zoan, that you travel with was one of those. I, for one lived in sea filled with islands. There, the trees still had spirit and could communicate with us. In the years,, that power faded away, and last, our ruler, great Deku tree died. His last words, he ordered me to keep care of this forest, and to make sure that the memory would pass. The Koroks lived, but now, only three of the old ones, to see the great deku tree are alive."

(Zoan appears and asks hpw can you get to the tree)

"Zoan, the tree that you look is in the southern edges of the forest, near the mountains. The entrance owever, is blocked by magical plants. The stone has infused these with such magic, that one who trys to get to the tree, always returns back. To cut those, you need to have something to cut those. We gave that magical weapon to the fairy queen to guard. He resides in this forest in her cave, but no-one knows, where it is."

"Lastly, if you manage to find the cave, open the seal by playing this song"

(He teaches you Leaves trail)

You can now leave, and can either fall from the stairs for 1 heart damage or go the slow way down the stairs. When you are in the ground, you can start to explore the forest. Volume up can help here. The howling of the trees gets louder the closer you are. In the east, near two notably old trees, the tingling is the most loudest. In the base of those, play the Leaves trail, and it transforms into wooden doors, leading beneath the trees.

Fairy fountain

Beneath Forest of Teliarn is the first fairy fountain of your quest. These fountains are spread across the map, and they grant you many useful items. Here, walk down the path which is made out of roots. It descends quite heavily until you see fairy fountain. This fairy fountain is mediumsized, with roots covering it and being like globe around it. Walk forward and see the Very queen of fairies. Cutscene starts.

"Welcome, the hero who has tackled through fire and water. I know that you are in search of it. The trees whisper to me... Allow me to give you the power you need."

Cutscene starts, where the light of the fountain fuses into a boomerang. The queen of fairies disappears, and you have obtained the Fairy boomerang! This awesome boomerang can hold he power of fire, ice, and water. But now, it's just a regular boomerang. Hit enemy with this, and it's stunned. you can leave the fountain, and return to the Koroks, or go straight south towards the third temple.

When you reach the magical bushes, throw the boomerang faraway, so it cuts the grass. Sword cannot do this. When the path is clear, walk forward and you see very big tree, as big as the one you visited. The life here is not vibrant, and there are no Koroks. You see entrance on high above, in a ledge. You cannot reach there, so take your boomerang, and look for two crystals in the leaves. Beware, these switches are difficult to notice in the thick leavy forest. Take both of them as targets, and throw the boomerang. You'll see staircase forming, but it doesn't last long so quickly run to the ledge, and enter Korok woods.

Longer chapter this time. Hope you like it. Comments hoped as always!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Korok woods 1/2

In the start, you notice that you are in quite simple room, which has some plants hanging from ceiling, few green chuchus and some plants that try to eat you. It also has a platform that goes over a pit, but you don't have Korok wand yet. The flesheating plants are basicly plants that silently try to bite you. That is their danger factor because they don't make any noise, and are usually hidden in grass. If it eats you, you lose 1 heart. But just simple 6 swordstrikes will put it out of comission. Anyway, walk to the next room.

The next room is quite large, having in middle a wooden pillar that has staircase going around it. This room is quite high, having stairs that go all the way to the topmost floor. However, the stairs are broken, and they must be fixed. You can go now one floor upwards, and enter the door here. The next room holds few Fe-plants and also a chest. The chest here is on platform above you. However, if you cut all the vines, the whole thing will drop through the floor, and if you leave the wrong vines uncut, it will fall into pit. So leave the vine nearest to the pit uncut, and the chest will drop in front of you. It reveals a key. Now just go through the next door. This room has platforms in the air. They do get power from Korok wand, but since you don't have it, you should go the path you can take, while avoiding Fe-plants in the roof. This room also has few Gohzals.

Anyway, continue through, and you'll arrive in spiraly, ascending slope. Walk up this slope, while avoiding chuchus, and rise up to a locked door. Here you should just take the pile of wood from the ground. You obtain part of the broken staircase! Walk through the door to return to main room, and put the first part of the bridge to place. Walk upwards, but the bridge ends short. Instead of going through the stairs, go through the hole in the column. You are now in actually quite big hole, that has wooden poles in it. On the tree, you'll see crystal switches. these are in nooks, that you can hit only while in surtant height. Every time you hit the crystal, some poles rise and some lower. You must find way to get so high, that you can walk the stairs circulating the highest pole going in the center of the hole. When you are up, there are two doors, one of them has wooden barrier surrounding it so you cannot go that way. Walk the other door, and you'll see you are outside.

In here, walk some stairs again, and spot in the leaves - you are now very high from the ground - a key. Throw boomerang to get this key. Allthough, you notice its only part of a key, it also seems quite special key. Then, walk upwards while dodging Herkishes flying here. Also watch out for Tekrox. These monsters are in form of gassy poisonous flying plant, resembling peahats. If you get hit by them, you lose 1/4 heart every five seconds, until you get recovery hearts. They get dispatched by three hits from boomerang, or one hit from elemental boomerang. Beware, in the last hit they explode and release their gas.

Walk stairs and you notice a intersection. The other way goes spiraly up the main tree, but the other leaps into anoter. Take the one that leaps to another tree, and walk along the path. Enter the tree. You are now in room that has enemies in it. In the ceiling you see 4 tekroxes, while in the floor there are 3 Gohzals, and few plants. This room also has new type of enemy, Felbra. Felbras resemble leafy kinds of creatures, which are barely noticeable, if they are in woods. They come in two kinds. One holds sword that does 1½ heart damage, while the other has ranged boomerang that hits for 1 heart. You can kill those who use boomerangs by hitting them thrice with boomerang. Those with sword can dodge pretty well boomerang, so 7 hits from sword is recomended. Bombs do well and arrows too. When all the enemies have died, you'll see that bars rise. These bars hide chest with key part in it. you can now return to the staircase, and go up to the main tree. Enter unlocked door.

This is long room, and in the middle there is arena with three switches. You must throw boomerang in such path that it hiyts all 3 in one throw. But there is twist. Each time you hit switches some walls raise and some lower. Thats why you have to think the order you hit the switches. This takes some thinking, but eventually you should make it. The gate opens and you can walk through. This room has chest on it. Open it to find axe. This is great for hacking wood and stuff. Anyway, you should kill the enemies that appear, and go up the slope spiraling up th room. Open door, and find part of the broken starcase! Walk through the door here, take map from a bombable wall if you want, and enter the main room. Jump down the ledge and you are just about in the point where the broken part is. Fix it, walk up the stairs to go through door. This room has pit where there are 4 holes. If you jump into those, you notice a gate rises a little. You cannot stand on them all once, so climb uop, and throw boomerang to the wooden cones hanging from ceiling above the holes. The cones will drop, and the switches will activate. Walk to the gate, and take the last key shard to obtain wooden key.

Go back to the main room, and to the hole with poles. Go up, and go to the direction where there is wooden wall. reak it with the axe, to realize the axe has lost its sharpness. Walk through the door anyway, and you end up in different kind of corridor. This is very clean, having shaped roots and beatifully crafted sculptures. The corridor is quite long, spiraling, and finally ending in clearly shaped door. It has big lock in it, so use the wooden key to it. The door splits in half and opens. Walk through, and the door slams behind you. It's the miniboss.

Half of a dungeon. You see this is notably different from Goron crater and zoras den. next time: Miniboss and Boss, Parasitial Demon, Florentia.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Korok woods 2/2

Glavedrin

Glavedrin resembles humanlike green warrior. It has boomerangs in its hand, and it moves very swiftly jumping at the branches. He throws his both boomerangs, and sometimes stops somewhere. Here you must throw the boomerang at him. Easier said than done, because he moves so quickly. Once you have hit him, he falls, and you can hit him. 20 hits will start the phase 2. In phase 1, hit from boomerang does 1 heart damage. He also can sometimes jump and hide, and you can see that you have sworded Felbra to work with.

In phase 2, you'll see that Glavedrin takes his boomerangs, and fuses them into big sword. This time, he is grounded. He jumps quickly around you, and is quite skilled with sword. However, it is problematic because he can throw somekind of energy from his sword. This energy can wake up the plants in the room. He starts the battle by summoning two trees You'll notice that they can hit their branches down quickly, and use their roots too. Hit from one of these does ½ heart damage. You cannot harm the trees, so focus on Glavedrin and try to open at him. His attacks do 1 - 1½ heart damage to you. 20 hits to him however, an he falls. The sword that Glavedrin used forms into Korok wand!

Now with your brand new tool, you can suck life from various enemies, and even from plants. You have magic meter, that can hold now only some magic. You can use the reviving chant, which can cure dead plants. The dungeon has many dead plants that you have to restore, to gain acces to the boss. To exit this room, revive the trees that Glavedrin possessed. Walk out and return to main room. Remember the room where you started? Return there, and revive one tree. The roots of it return, and allows the platform in the air to move freely. Jump to it, and go to the another side of the room. Here is compass hidden behind roots you must revive. In the compass, it also shows you all the roots that need revive. You might want to charge your wand, since the max load now is 10 charges. Reviving tree takes 2 charges. Walk into the next room any way, where you see some Felbra and Tekrox. Avoid or kill those, and revive another tree. You see chest up on the ledge. You must revive one tree, and jump on lower ledge. Here you see a root has revealed crawling hole, so crawl in and enter small tunnel. This takes you up. Open the chest for key. Here, revive tree, and take platform to another end of the room. Open the door.

You are now in strange room. The shape is similar to fairy fountain, but it doesn't have spring in the middle. There is large solid platform with stairs rising to it. On top of the platform, you see small pedestal, that has wooden ball on top of it. The wooden ball has hole in the top, where you can see blue gassylike material in it. It is thigtly in the ball, and you see Zoan to pop out and examine it. He goes closer and gets dazzled.

"Link... I think, that this thing here... It might be thoughts. Someone has stored knowledge to this. The key for examining it is apparently focusing... You must focus in to see what it contains. I wonder who has stored it."

You have now look from above to the wooden bowl. The Wii remote starts to vibrate, as Link gets closer to the substance. If you can get Wii remote to stay still, you see animation, where you see Link. He screams noiseless scream, and his eyes are blue. he slowly calms down. you now notice that Link has learned new spell, Elemental blast. This spell is capable of firing different kinds of energy balls. The knd you fire is determined by the amount of Elemental stones you have. So currently you can use Fire blast and Water blast. You can now exit the room by the way you came, and look for wooden barricade. It is on the other side of the room, so take the moving platform, and fire the blast for 3 charges. The fire spells dispatch Felbras easily, as they deal damage equivalent of 5 sword strikes.

Anyway, blast the barricade open, and you see a chest again. This contains again key. Go back to the main room, and take the route to the second level from the main room. Here you have lots of trees to revive, so the platforms would start to move. Gt to the topmost point of the room, and burn out wooden blocks. Exit the room. You are again outside of the tree. This time, you are higher, and you must climb up the spiraling staircase. It takes long time to walk but finally you should end up in ledge. The top of the tree is far high, but here, enter the locked door. You are in roofless chamber, and you'll see this has enemies in it. You see 5 Felbras in the middle, glowing omniously. You see they gather together, and form giant warrior. This has big sword in its other hand and glowing ball in the other. Dodge the attacks, but beware. Both easily chip 1½ or 2 hearts from your life. The strategy to kill this, is to first stun it with Boomerang. After that, you must use both Water spell and fire spell. By this combo, The Felbra will split out. Kuill the Felbra thats jumped out. Repeat this four times. You'll see a Big brown shiny key is on the ground. Obtain the boss key! Return now down, and with the room with lot of platforms, take platform to another ledge opposite where you came. Here there is simple room, which has some kind of rolling cage in the middle. Wait for the cage to be on your spot, enter it, and you'll se you are in complex structure. It has many levels of entrances and ways to go out. There is only on solution, so choose the smart way. If you get out in the right spot, you'll end up in little place with Iron boots switch. Press it, and then structure will rise one level. You have no new puzzle to solve, and when it's done, you end up in place with chest. The chest has lock wrapped around it, and flames surrounding it. Inside, it contains piece of staircase. Return, by pressing the Iron boots switch second time, and go back to the main room.

Repair the bridge, and you'll see only one piece remains. The next room is huge drop, it has roots to repair to get the landing platform revealed. In the down, open door. This room has new type of enemy. Poison chuchus. These chuchus are poisonous. If you touch them, you have the same punishment as with Tekrox, but double the damage. Best way to kill them is two shots from Korok wand. When all the chuchus are killed, gate opens, and you'll find the last piece of stairs. However, do not return, but instead, revive one tree to reveal hole to drop. You are now in arena with 5 Felbras, kill them easily, and obtain small key. Return up, but revive tree by the way.

When your in main room again, put the last piece to its place. The staircase ends up in ledge and you can walk in from the door. You end up in spiraling room going down with Fe-plants and some other enemies on the way. You see that you descend very low, below the first floor. You'll see another door, so open it. you'll now see a cavern that has roots in it. if you have revived all the trees, the path is clear. If not, you'll have to backtrack and do so. The cavern ends up in another door.

Here there is quite large room. It has some hearts and some fairies, to prepare for the boos fight. The boss room is blocked by wooden block and fiery wall. Use the elemental spells, and revive last two trees so the roots will retract. The large boss door is revealed. It leads into cavern below the main column. Take the big key, insert it to the lock, and the door will just fade. Go through the hole to the boss door, and prepare for fight.

Parasitial demon, Florentia

You'll see that when you have entered the arena, the gap in the hole shines, and then it returns to part of the wall. You see that you are in big room, that has very large tree in the middle. The room seems silent... until you notice, that from the back of the tree, from hole, erupts huge creature. It seems like it is attached to the ground, but moves rather swiftly around. It has very large main head, andmultiple smaller tentacles around it. The tentacles each seem to be guarding the main tree, but move rather easily.

In phase 1, you cannot approach the plant itself, because the smaller plants guard it (They are not small though, each of them is about 5-7 times bigger than Link. Take target to one of the plants. You see it is connected to ground by long body. You have to stun the plant, and when it's stunned, hack the base of it. You need 10 hits to cut one. When the plant is on the ground, It still struggles and moves uncontrollable way. Slow it down by hiting the head with spell from korok wand. Quickly run to the head and hack it from your life. 12 hits will kill that part of the bigger plant. When the smaller plant is dead, it lies on the ground. It makes this battle difficult, because the plants will get on your way. You must kill all the small plants, before you can attack the bigger one. If you run out of charges from Korok wand, some Tekrox will appear. The small ones disappear when you have killed them all. The small ones can attack by biting you (1½ heart) and blowing poison at you (1 heart / 5 second). The bigger one can bite you (2 hearts), smack you with its roots (1 heart) and fall up on you and spitting poison (3 hearts, this is deadly)

This time, you see that the big plant doesn't get stunned from boomerang. Quickly, go to one of the big trees surrounding the area. Revive one you are standing on, and you'll rise up. If you happen to revive all of them, but you aren't up, kill one and revive it.When you are up, use Korok wand and quickly fire Water and Fire spell. This will cause Florentia to fall into ground. Smack her. 25 hits and the second stage will begin.

This time, you notice that the trees all get possesed. Florentias head is released from her body. She grows large spikes on her head, and you'll see some grow so large that they can smack easily link. Meanwhile, the trees try to stop you with their roots. Florentia will float in the air and trys to attack you in the way of flying around the arena. He can spit at you for gluey poison that stops you (1 heart), poisonous poison (1 heart/ 5 seconds) or deadly acid that deals 3 hearts. If he catches you, he might try to eat you for 3 hearts. He can also use his tentacles to whack you and catch you. Whacking is equal to root smack, and catjhing makes you easy target. The way to kill him is by taking out Korok wand, and fiering at the tentacles. To cut them, fire the softened spot with boomerang. There are 5 tentacles to cut. When they are all cut, you see Florentia falls. You must beware of his spikes. You can dispatch a hole for you by firing shot to the face. 25 hits and Florentia will fall. Maybe 3 cycled.

When Florentia falls, you see that the Tentacles dry out. The head of her will burst into Emerald of forest, and the poisonous mouth will burst into heart container. Whole arena calms, and you'll see how the trees are now vibrant and lively. a teleport appears, and Zoan tells you, that the creature that you faced was just pretaste of what Link will experience in the future. You take the stone, and then you'll teleport to the city of Koroks.

As always, really pleased if comments would arrive. You see now that Florentina is already quite a bit of more vchallenge, and in here because the sheer lenght of the battle, tis can be very challenging boos fight.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Third stone

You see the forest looks much more lighter in the south. You are in the river crossing Korok city, and the King of Koroks appears.

"Young boy, you have done inreplaceable service for our people. by destroying that monstrous creature, you freed the forest. May you move freely within the Koroks. As our gift from people kepp that stone. However, I have personal gift from myself to you too..."

You walk closer to the shoreline.

"This is Teliarns boat. It's made from the finest parts of our fallen trees. This boat will carry you where-ever you will desire. Our best crafters have made it, and it has strong sail that will follow the wind. I wish that you will use it well. You may descend down the river. And before you leave, may you know this song to be like the ancient hero that once saved us..."

He takes out something that looks like carved wooden ocarina. He whistels to it.

"May the winds requeim lead you where-ever you want"

"And know, that Koroks are aware of the crisis in the land beyond woods. When the moment comes, even us must leave our woods, for the sake of this land. Leave now..."

You are now in the boat, and can descend down the river. The wind doesn't affect here, but the flow of the river is still so strong, that you can flow and watch the beatiful trees of forest of Teliarn. The green homes of Koroks disappear, and you'll see how light begans to shine. You are in the sea, free to travel anywhere your will takes. You can visit Birdsman peak to get your letters, or sail to smaller and bigger islands.

Sea

While your at sea, there are many islands you see. You should first go to birdsman peak, which is large island inhabited by Rito. You can explore it, and it holds few secret caves. You should go to the main peak of the island. Here is incredibly high and large cavern. Ritos fly here, and you can see how a path spirales along the walls of the mountain. In the ceiling far high, you can see hole which is so high you cannot walk there. Now you should go to the biggest counter that is in the ground, on a cave. Talk to one of the ritos, and they tell that here you can buy delivery bags and get your own letters. Delivery bag costs 50 rupees only. Once you have bought it, get your letters, and then return.

If you want to explore the mountain more, go up, and exit. You are in the side of the mountain. Here there are many points you can advance on, but if you want to get ot the top, you need more tools, such as Hookshot and floating leave. Currently you can only find heart piece here. When you want return, go back to the mail center, and exit the way you came.

The next thing you'll probably will be interested in lies in north. If you sail there, you'll arrive in Merchant oasis. This little isle has lot of things on it. The island itself is not so big, but it has big rafts that form giant marketplace. You can find many things here, but it's mainly good for bying things. In the island, if you use the Secret mask you can find cave under a palm tree. In here, there are about 20-30 shopkeeepers. Each of them has different prices, and while some sell Red potion dfor 30 rupees in sunday, it may cost 300 on monday.

If you want to earn something nice, you can talk to the man in the beach. He tells you that shopkeeper named XXX (changes everyday) needs bottle of this hot water. You must deliver it to the merchant in short time. The difficulty here is, that the merchant doesn't want the hot water, and sends it to another merchant. After many visits, someone finally accepts it and rewards you with treasure chart.

And the most important thing in the sea for many players now, is to find the warp points. The sea has three warp points, and in each of them there is one Great fairy. Guarding each fairy, is giant sea monster you have to defeat. One is in ruined tower, in very weast edge of the map, one is found near birdmans peak, and third is north, someway up Merchant oasis.

If you don't have anything left to do, you can go back to the shores.

Land again

When you arrive in the land, Zoan starts to think where the 4th stone is. They have no clue, so ZOan thinks that it would be wise to visit Rofer. You decide to do so. Call Epona or run to Ganfol. There you will see that the wall of the village is built now stronger, and the village has heavy gates. Knock the gate, and your dad lets you in. Here, go talk to Rofer.

"Yes Link, the fourth stone is the only one I couldn't locate. The fourth stone has in my knowledge, no connection to the people under this sun. And to make matters now worse, the governor of Huryle has been disappeared"

"What?.. How? I supposed that in the time of war, he was supposed to be safe?"

"I thought so too. Nobody knows when has he disappeared, but it cannot be long ago. He only took his horse by him, and rode out of the city. The people at Forlana are panicking; when Royal family is not well, the people have no-one to follow. It's chaos."

"But the stone... The oldest one in this world will probably lie in Forest of Teliarn. In far away from the Koroks main living area, there has been stories told from one Korok who lived by the times of the oldest legends, before the legendary Deku tree. He resides in Forest of Teliarn, but he has separated himself. Only by walking surtant path will make you find him, the spells he has cast are powerful. As my advice, return to Forest of Teliarn and try to find him."

Rofer now stops talking, and Zoan advices that you should return to the forest. Ride south to enter it once again.

Forest of Teliarn

The forest has changed little since you left. Walk to the Koroks, and climb once again the steps to the highest tree. You see the King of Koroks. However, he says that only one note has left from him, long long ago.

"Most oldest from all, lies by the dawn. When sun rises and falls, the living dead has gone on."

"The path you must take, that I don't know... This you must think by yourself."

When you have gone down, Zoan is wondering.

"The living dead? Is he already a zombie? Link, the power can not help you here... The wisdom is now what we need..."

The note here is quite clear for the player if he has even little brains. Dawn of course means east. When sun rises and falls, means that you can only find him by day. The sun rises and falls, is the path you must take. Follow the light coming from sun through the woods, and go back the same route. If you understand this, you'll see big tree appearing. By one of the two rivers. Climb it up, and you'll see the living dead. Ghosty like creature, that is not Korok, but Kokiri.

Omnious riddles and mysterious ghostes. Comments appreciaded really lot. Next chapter has some imprtant characters, so I cannot spoil it. So comment!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Civilization

Really, I would enjoy comments, since this has took lot of efforts. I have even drawn map from the overworld (clears my thinking process). So comments please, because it's new chapter!

Fado

"Boy... Clothed in green. You are the first living soul I have seen in many long centuries. Someone has finally understood the riddle of mine. I left it so in someday, someone with pure heart, and wisdom in his mind, could have help in hand."

"I'm Fado. I'm the living dead of the forest. By time before great flooding of the world, I lived alongside of people known as Kokiris. As the flood came, we needed to survive, and we became more like trees. However, before that, I was given important task by the gods themself. To guard ancient treasure, able to banish evil from the surface of the world, would keep its power. I died, but my spirit remained on the surface of this world. I survived, and decided to reside in here. The magic of this forest, and the presence of my people have kept me immortal. No aging or disease may vanish me, but by the sword and spike, even I may fall. But now.. Tell me your name, and tell me why you are here."

"Fado, the old one, this here is Link. We are here to ask help for our quest. We are looking for the sacred stones of the four elements. The one we need, the fourth of wind, we miss. We ask your help, so we could regain it, and banish the evil."

"The four ancient stones... I remember those 4 were made so that the gods could control the flow of this world, and in need, hand them to one worthy of them. Later however, those 4 were hidden around the world. The 3 were in the hands of 3 tribes of the gods, but fourth was hidden in the skies. The gods hid one pathway to the skies intact. The Stairway to heaven rises in the highest peak of the mountains, Gonlarn. This mountain is in the east deep of the mountains. Climb the mountain, and you can accees the temple. The palace there is special. We left 5 guardians to there, to represent each race of Huryle. If you can find the stone, you will see your path to be clear once again."

"To ever need help, or to ever have to find me, accees just this area of this forest. This is no longer blocked from you. Now... Go."

Now, you can leave the forest, and ride to the east. There, go up one of the mountain paths. There are many many paths here in mountains, some go circle, some are small ways to access Gorons in north and Zoras in south. You, however should walk the right way. It's easier than you would think, because Gonlarn is giant! The peak of it is unseen by the clouds. It stands so tall, that you can note it from the edges of woods. So, you should have little problem to locate it.

Gonlarn

When you arrive at the base of Gonlarn, you see it's enormous mountain. It has two great statues guarding the entrance to it. After the statues, there starts long pathway. This way is steep and crumbled, but you can see it has been very glorious in its days. The stairs are made from white stone, and it has great statues presenting kings of Huryle. The climb here is much longer than the one with the great tree of Koroks. Even in the halfway you can see the whole mountain infront of you, and faraway the plains. When you get to the peak after this exhausting maraton, you see two big statues. They resemble young boy wielding a sword. From those statues starts straight grand staircase, that is in very good shape.

Even this staircase is long, but piece of cake compared to the giant staircase circulating mountain. In the up, there is big area, that where you can see the whole land. One of the most stunning seens of the game with Korok woods. The snowpeaked mountains continue as far as eye can see in the east. In the west, you can see the great plains and the sea. The sea looks flat, but you can still note the bigger islands, such as the high peak of Birdmans peak, or the vast desert of Gerudos.

However, the time for pleasant views isn't our purpose. Instead, go towards the statue in the middle of the area. It has something scribbled in it. Play the Winds Requeim, and you'll see the stone glows. It forms a staircase out of the winds in here. You should now put your Iron boots on, and climb the last staircase. It isn't too long, and ends in portal. Walk to it, and you'll see Link to warp. When he wakes, you are high above the mountains. Welcome to the Gust Palace.
