I
I'm starting to get worried that the next Zelda will be like this:
- It will focus heavily on Link's new side-kick (which I am totally opposed to). - It will have new character (similar to how TP had Midna/Zant) and will focus on these characters mainly. -Unfortunately, Zelda and Ganondorf will be in the game only to make the game look pretty and in Nintendo eyes to: "support the hardcore fans." -Have dumbed down gameplay to "invite" new players. -Have awesome new Wii Motion Plus controls but somehow fail epicly because Nintendo don't want reasonable enemy difficulty or are too lazy to develop a lot of skillful moves/spells etc. -The environments will feel bare and lifeless, like the ones in TP (CT felt semi-lifeless in TP because it had so many people). -The game will lack originality. -Have no VA in cutscenes resulting in scenes that could have felt more epic. There's probably more that I can't think of at the moment.

Re: I
...Lol, I think you're completely wrong. I like your attitude though, keep hoping the next Zelda will suck so that when you get it you'll be the happiest fan alive. (Well, besides me...Cuz I'm always crazy for a new Zelda)

Re: I
I am absolutely sick in the stomach of the fact that Nintendo seem to concentrate now on Link's "side-kick." No, as I am typing this I am really put off by this. Its sickening me. I can't believe it. Its just hit me hard. Look at Midna, they thought they were doing something incredible and justifying. **** them. And then they went and made a game that felt unfinished on top of it and couldn't even squeeze in a few side-quests. That's ill. That's corrupt. And regardless of all the nice things that came with TP, these Miyamoto and Aenuma guys are sickening me. Like how they think they are creating great, awesome games by rehashing ideas like "Dark Mirror" as "twilight mirror" and putting in main characters of the plot and then barely developing them. And doing even more disgusting things like making it so that Ganondorf DOES NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE Link is there at all. I swear to my gods Din, Nayru and Farore that if the next Zelda is like this I am quiting Zelda forever and I am changing my main gaming series (and the dedication that goes with it) to something else (Tales of maybe even FF).

Re: I
(Sorry if this is a double post)
Believe me, Tales of and FF have way too many things that Zelda does better. =\ I really REALLY don't think Link's "partner" will be any where near as strong as Midna's character. I highly doubt they would repeat that same concept again. I already see Link's new partner as a laid back kind of character. Don't sweat it just yet. Quote:

Re: I
Ganon the King, if you are that disgusted and put off why don't you design your own Zelda game? Since you don't seem to be trusting nintendo to do it for you. And why do you have to express all this hatred and state that you're maybe going to quit playing zelda games, what's your motive? How do you want me to perceive this rant of yours? Do you want me to start hating Nintendo and share your rage?
I'm only asking cause when I read your posts here it looks like standard plain whining to me.

Re: I
I used to be like you people, really enjoyed TP, but seriously, I feel that the overworld was boring, it seemed like a pain to me, sure you are the only person brave enough to go there are face the creatures, but, the overworld could've been like Okami's, with people, houses, harmless animals, monsters and such, make it more lively.

Re: I
While each Zelda game tends to have its drawbacks, each one has significantly added to the story of Hyrule and its history, and each one includes new things to battle with and new charactors to be aqquainted with. If you're saying that you want the next game to be exactly like OoT or something, that would be pointless, seeing as the whole Zelda story wouldn't grow at all. Nintendo's a great company that has made games great enough to have tons of fansites. They're not gonna let you down if you are able to see they cool new things they're gonna do.

No information? Your a funny. Its a trend Nintendo will continue (beginning with PH and TP in particular). This trend will keep occurring because Nintendo see the need to develop a storyline in the game (as can be seen with TP) but can only have such a detailed storyline by having a second character (for example Midna) and what better way to have this second (or first because Link doesn't speak - shame on Nintendo) as a side-kick? So TP set a low standard for all Zeldas to follow. Now they've revealed one single important artwork that suggests this is his new side-kick and I am assuming that it will be one more big side-kick game where we have to do what the side-kick says.

Did I ever suggest in my original post that I wanted an OoT remake? You just like making stuff up or something now, do you? I want the side-quest system MM had. I loved the originality of it. Why can't Nintendo put side-quests into their game? What is so hard about it? It makes the world feel so alive and you don't even need a powerful system for it (n64 could do it). To be honest, I don't give a thing for how each game adds to the history of Hyrule etc etc. I'm fed up with it actually. MM added nothing to the so-called "history" yet its one of the moodiest, strangest and deepest of the series (and literally had few drawbacks - for the time anyway). Going by what Miyamoto says, the history of Hyrule matters nothing to him, and the little bit of information that TP did add to the "history" shows Nintendo don't care about the history of Hyrule, their just trying to satisfy some fans that seem to think all the games have to be perfectly connected.

And is it a bad trend that Nintendo wants to develop better storylines for the Zelda franchise? What are you mad about? Nintendo not adding more important characters than Zelda, Ganon and a side-kick (like a whole party like in 80% of all rpgs) or that you simply don't want a side-kick since they've been used in too may games of the series and you want something new?
