Re: I
Saving a kidnapped princess repeatedly is more of a main story is it?
The fact your side quests are essentially forgotten is portraying the theme of hopelessness, one of the things people love about it, creates real emotional depth. Twists? like going into the moon and finding a big field with kids playing?

Re: I
I'm sorry, but we only had concept art surface and people are already complaining about the next game.
Zelda Wii has been in production since early 2005, way before Twilight Princess was even released, I highly doubt it will be the average run-of-the-mill wii game. Wait until at least a trailer comes out before calling out Nintendo for screwing the fans over.

And I didn't say I liked the story of WW and TP, those two just used the plot of OoT and reskinned it for their purposes. Though WW was more unique than TP. But OoT had a great main quest, you didn't really know how it was all going to turn out, unlike WW and TP where you can find the plot twists ahead of time like clockwork (because they copied OoT). |

Re: I
I've read all 1o5 posts D:
But after reading everything, and thinking about things... Ganon the King was only telling us his fears of the new Zelda game. I admit, sometimes I got a little offensive, and defensive of TP, but I know where he's coming from, and agree with him on some things. Anyway, I'm taking a guess at what might have happened: Ganon saw the teaser art, read the few things Ninty has said, and thought about what the new game would be like, and he wrote down things he does and does not want the new game to be. Maybe you hope those things happen. Who knows. But my guess is that Ninty will try and please the masses, whether it be hardcore gamers or Zelda virgins. (I hope they find common ground.) Honestly, I LOVED Twilight Princess, every bit of it. I love that it made me think, and I couldn't get enough of the graphics; it was stunning. I think that's why I was so drawn to it... especially with the Wii technology, it was like you were actually there. Aaaand, I should probably throw it out there that I've only played the first Zelda, OoT, and TP. ;D I want to play the others, but I don't have enough game systems lol anyway. i'm off to bed, might add some more later. ![]() |

Re: I
Ah, but when you first play the game, you don't know that there is a sequence for every completed side-quest at the end. The first time you play it, you get the feeling that the side-quests are useless because they are reseted every 3-day cycle.

Re: I
*facepalm*
I'm starting to feel embarrassed to call myself a Zelda fan anymore because of people like this....

I mean, it does, but it's not the same Zelink as it is in the other games. And it's still considered Tetlink in the end. But it's still officially Zelink, right? Ugh. My brain hurts. Drawing brings up my happy meter by ten points! Help support this by looking at my artwork on my deviantART page. You can do that at kaybee2.deviantart.com. |

Re: I
Pssh, Zelda has the best fanbase ever. A little on the crazy and bipolar side...but it easily has one of the most dedicated fanbases.
