Should Ganondorf return?

It seems a lot of people are getting tired of Ganondorf after his appearance in TP, does one somewhat tacked on appearance forever cancell out the main villain of the series?

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

I've got one thing to say to those people he's the main antagonist! And after five straight games of Majora, Zant, or Vaati, you'd be begging for ganny to come back! Okay that's two things but still

Though in all honestly they should use different villians for the next 3-5 games. just not the same one every game

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

I would rather have a new villain than Ganondorf again. I just want something new and creative like Majora's Mask...

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

I think Ganondorf making repeated appearances is fine. As said, he is the main antagonist, and in my opinion, it would be quite weird without Ganondorf in a Zelda game.

but he should be given a rest, not a permanent one just a three game rest. though it would be nice if he appeared in the 20th Zelda game. Which reminds me, what number will ZWii be?

16th I believe.

Ganondorf seems to have fallen outof grace only after TP. After WW he was loved.

This seems to be the key issue, TP Ganondorf vs. WW Ganondorf.

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

i think ganondorf is still alive on the Adult Timeline. He still had the ToP when he got stabbed. So i think if he does reappear, then it will be in that timeline. i hope he does though. but only after a few years.

Deaths don't really count, we know he can take it

But he was effectively killed on the AT, Aunoma confirmed his death at the end of WW.

yeah, but still. he had the ToP. they wouldnt of let him keep it if they were going to finish him on that timeline. But in the CT, he def. died cause the ToP disappeared off of his hand.

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

I want Vaati. I think, he's awesome, and would be a great villain.

But a completely new villain would be pretty good, too...

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

Ok I'm trying to figure out the timeline for real... and now I'm convinced there's more than one Ganon, just like how there's more than one Link, and more than one Zelda... more on this when I figure everything out, but the Ganon from FSA is not the same Ganon from OoT, that I know

At the end of WW, he did not have the Triforce of Power. It (along with Link's and Zelda's triforces) combined to create the full Triforce. The King then wished upon this, and after he did, it dissapeared. It most likely went back the sacred realm.

Dissapearing Triforces does not equal death. He didn't die like your average villain, he stood there. We don't know the actual result of his TP defeat.

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

Lol...I didn't like him too much in TWW...I didn't like him too much in TP. But geez, I think it's better than any villain Zelda's ever had, easily the most human. If he appears in the next game he should do so in a new light.

Give him more back story and more character development and I'm happy. He needs more screen time is all I'm saying. Poor guy is shunned almost as bad as Princess Zelda. xD I just want a real reason to hate Ganondorf or a real reason to feel extreme pity for him...

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

If they bring Ganondorf back then he needs to be more like in WW. Also we need to see him throughout the game.

Any of you play Donkey Kong 64? Remember how we saw King K. Rool after every boss in a cutscene? Or in the Paper Mario series?

However I think that a brand new villain would be better. Give Ganny a few years to get a bit scarier (THIS might give him the motivation.) I want somthing truly new this time around, and a legitimately frightening villain would do that.

And your right, but if the triforce dissapears from him, that means he isnt immortal anymore. Which means he can die. And he did for good in the CT because the triforce dissapeared.

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

For a long time I was thinking that he should return as the main villain, but the more I think about it, it's time for a new villain... a conqueror who travelled from elsewhere and took over Hyrule.

However, I don't want him to be wiped from existence... perhaps there should be a minor group of people who still follow him (religiously of course, he's dead)... but they would be just a small sect, and not a major threat to Link... I actually think it would be cool if his stony corpse was displayed in a temple... not that he should come back to life, but just to at least acknowledge him...

However, I would like for the game to remain in Hyrule and maintain some of the characters, enemies, and weapons... I would also like for the triforce to play a role

Re: Should Ganondorf return?

Ganondorf has been killed in every current timeline, and in the old classic timeline. It's time to leave him dead.

ohh, thats a good idea. and like for the boss battle, have the stone Ganondorf be reanimated by a crystal instaled into the stone. and when the crystal was destroyed, his body just returned back to the stone statue.
