OMG the master sword is a girl?!?

Alright, the mysterious girl in the Zelda Wii teaser illustration is probably the master sword/the maker of the master sword/the master sword magically animated/the spirit of the master sword/the thing that became the master sword etc etc, because she looks like the master sword and when miyamoto was asked on her identity he wouldn't give answers but said that it was important that Link was only holding a shield, so it makes sense, the reaction I got from this was:

OMG the master sword is a girl?!?

So what are your thoughts on the fact that your weapon is a girl?

I think it's a pretty neat idea to be awesome. And I'm really looking forward to getting to learn more about this legendary blade and its origins. I'm really hoping for a pre-OoT placement of this game, that explains a little more about Hyrule's past as well, and how it ties into the Master Sword and the spirit (or whatever) thereof.

If it turns out to be Navi in some kind of great fairy form I'll kill them! That was MY idea >.>

I don't think a talking sword is a very good idea unless it happens to have an awesome personality...

Only time will tell if it really is a personified Master Sword.
I kinda suspect this may be the end of the Master Sword, since Ganondorf was killed in TP and they may not feel they need it anymore. They got rid of it in WW, but it went out like a punk just being left on the ocean floor.

Of course it could be a far away land and a completely different sword. They seem like to release non-Hyrule games between the Hyrule ones.

I think she might be the spirit of the Master Sword. It would make sense for the sword to have a spirit since the sword chooses its master.

If this is true, and she's outside of the sword, then something must have happened to the Master Sword, and Link needs to find a way to restore it.

I have to say, if this theory turns out to be true I love the idea. However I agree that maybe The Madame or Mistress Sword would be more appropriate.

Or If you're saying that a female sword wouldn't be as powerful as a male sword I recommend you read up on this: Child Birth.

oh, sorry, yeah, i dont really think that the blue girl is a girl. lol jk.

but yeah, really, she probably is the sword spirit. like some one inside the sword who can only be released during a horible horible event(like worse than anything thats happened so far)

I personally think it's a great story idea, almost all of recent zelda games have centered around an object (except TP) lets see here, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, it's about time we have one centering around the master sword! (If the game is called Legend of Zelda: The Master Sword I will and won't be surprised at the same time)
