cool zelda game!

hey! imagine this!

a MMORPG for zelda!! imagine how cool it'll be!

there could be different races and trades and proffessions. go to other lands (termina, etc...) find weapons, FORM GANGS!!hehehe
buy horses or ships........ spy on royalty (zelda) hahaha kiding.

so much could happen!! it would be cool to have one of those for the PC instead for consoles.

Yeah, and it probably wouldn't have any kind of story. MMORPGs tend not to. Since Zelda is linear and story based, I don't think the two would mix. Plus, how could you have a Zelda game where you don't play as Link?

what exactly is an MMORPG? something like FF? if so i don't think they would mix very well for various reasons, some of which being as my fellow ZUers have already stated, did that sound as wierd as i thought?

Or in other words making zelda online. It has been thought of before but it wouldn't work out. Zelda is property of Nintendo and will not ever be playable on the PC unless you count all the ROMs and stuff. Also, I liked Adventure of link, it is quite a fun game. Anyway making Zelda online would ruin the storyline and plot, it sounds prettry much like the SIM's. You always play as Link not Counting Wand of Gameleon, Makar, and Medlei.

meh doesnt sound to pleasing, MMORPGS are meh.

However, i do have an awesome idea for a zelda game! Lets create a half baked optical system. Market it as a gaming and application console. and license the use of the zelda name for games on it! especially one starring Zelda herself! Itll make millions!

actually the second M in MMORPG stands for Multiplayer. i don't think if i would like that either, that sounds more like a mario thing the way there are like a million spinoff games. though we got a lot of good games out of that (mario kart) i dont think that's the path that zelda should take. it's more pure

Yes, yes it is pure...but since they have FS and FSA coming out (all multiplayers) thats as close that we are going to get to a MMORPG. I think some cut-sceens in FSA will be shown in Cel-Shaded, so I hope that they do make a possible multiplayer game with 4 links. Green Link can pull out the Four Sword (and bring out his other clones), Red Link can wear a Goron Mask and become Goron Link, Blue Link can wear the Zora mask and become Zora Link, and Purple Link can put on a new Rito Mask and become Rito Link.

I was just thinking of those specific masks because Goron Link will be good in mountainous terrrain, Zora Link in Water, Rito Link in Sky, and Green Link in Plains/Forrest ( I really don't see why Green Link should wear the Deku Mask because all it was, was an equipted slingshot and Deku Leaf).

Eh, aint the Zelda sereis already a type of R.P.G? I mean, that idea would suck due to the fact that Zelda is more of an action/R.P.G game and not a M.M.O.R.P.G. So I would have to say that if you want your game idea to happen, e-mail Nintendo and Squaresoft for your game to happen.

Also the game would be already at a disadvantage since MMORPG's are always better on the computer. And there isn't a big online community for the Gamecube. Though the idea of being able to wander Hyrule is tempting, it could be done in a better way.

i think it sounds kind of cool to me, but my posts of new zelda games were rejected so don't listen to me.....

1) Zelda is NOT a RPG....I've heard this argument many times now...

2) Too late, there's already a MMORPG Zelda out there.....But I don't know how they're doing at the moment.... http://www.zeldaonline.com/ They seem to be down at the moment though...

No, actually zelda IS an rpg. rpgs don't have to have random battles or leveling up, think of the name role playing game, which simply means that it is a game where you play the role of someone, in this case we play as link. so it is technicaly an rpg but isn't considered one when categorizing games because then almost every other adventure or platformer would be one.

A zelda mmorpg, something that has haunted me in my worst nightmares for years. Someone should stupid slap you, zelda is a very respectable game series and should not be tainted with the disrespect of making it an mmorpg. I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but I don't want to pay for a hard drive and then pay fees every month with additional costs for supplies, to play a disgrace to the zelda series, or any other mmorpgs. I just don't like the idea of paying $100+ for a game and then continue to pay for it every month.

All my friends do is play magic, and final fantasy XI, which isn't good because I hate both playing card games, and mmorpgs, they spend $50+ on magic cards every month, which is rediculous, and they boast about getting to play FF XI, how they just got the awesome hard drive and the game and only have to pay a little a month. But do you people realize that after a couple of years playing that game, youd've waisted a thousand dollars. mmorpgs aren't bad games, but aren't great either, a zelda one would be the biggest mistake ever. As I said earlier I don't want to pay for that but my friends do, and that's all they do, so my hatred towards the stupid friend stealing mmorpgs is at it's peak at the moment. which is why I've been ranting on about it.
