Re: What do you think the base story element for Zelda wii will be
The title is a lttle ambiguous, but I think I know what it means. All I can think of right now:
Master Sword Highly relevant companion (Equivalent of Midna). The objective of defending rather than saving a submissive character right off the bat. |

What do you think?
I have no idea myself, it's a little too early to tell.

Something to do with that girl, probably. And the Master Sword having a connection with her. But it is kind of too early to tell. It's hard to figure the plot of a whole game through one piece of concept art.

Re: What do you think the base story element for Zelda wii will be
If the speculation about the "sword girl" is anything, it may involve the end of the Master Sword, or the breaking and repair of the Master Sword. When Ganondorf was killed in WW, the Master Sword was lost, as if it was no longer needed. When Ganondorf was killed in TP, it was put back on it's pedestal, so it must have at least one more story left in it.
The girl on the poster, whether it is the MS personified or not, will probably be Link's partner in the game. I suspect they will be building a larger and more advanced Hyrule than that seen in TP. They will probably save the kingdom from a terrible villain, maybe even a resurrected Ganondorf (I'm sick of that guy). I am fully prepared for the likelihood that Link will traverse a few dungeons, the main plot will flip, and Link will then traverse a few more dungeons. |

Re: What do you think the base story element for Zelda wii will be
The master sword is lost/destroyed and link has to use the chick(which looks like the great fairy fom mother and child island from WW) as a substitute weapon to recover it, based on the look alike, I'd say the chick is the great fairy and is helping link. Something also might've happened to fairy world, that link agrees to help with, in return for her helping with the master sword.
From what little information that I've heard about, that's about all I can come up with, and considering most of it is wild guessing and assumptions, that's not much.

Hmmm, well one theory is that it will be based greatly on swordplay considering link isn't holding a sword as well as the fact that in TP there was more focus on swordplay than in previous games and it was an actually sizable part of the story
you gotta look at previous games as well like u guys w/ the great fairy thing(and its very reasonable as well)

You know, if you're going to post fan fiction, don't post it twice, and please post it in the correct board.

Re: What do you think the base story element for Zelda wii will be
I'm hoping for the return of the Hero of Time, as in a Majora's Mask sequel in Hyrule. I can already tell the game will have a theme centered around Link's Sword. Even the title is silver. Sooo, I think even with this limited info we could start making title names. xD
As soon as Eiji Aonuma said Twilight Princess was about Twilight, it was obvious the title would have the word Twilight in it. Imma guess the game will be called The Legend of Zelda: Something Sword.

Re: What do you think the base story element for Zelda wii will be
Whatever idea they are going with I hope that the story is a little more drastic and something bad happens like a character dies or something. Not a main character like link, zelda or, ganondorf. I hope they can come up with another cool main boss besides ganondorf.
