Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

To be fair, Link would also be a pretty good candidate for a female version of him to look like. Which is to say he looks like a girl.

(Except in Twilight Princess.)

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I would say "Setting Zelda in a modern day/futuristic setting, like FFVII."

Zelda is suppose to be for the medieval world of dragons, castles, magic etc etc etc... Like Merlin or something.

I know that there is a train introduced in ST, but trains aren't modern. Not steam trains anyway.

But to have Link in a world like FF would be kind of weird... Well in my opinion, it just damages the roots of what Zelda games are suppose to be like.

So you expect Hyrule to be stuck in a medieval setting forever?

Yeah they should reach an industrial age at some point. And if they want to introduce machines make em so they're powered by magic like in FF6.

It's been so 20 years and running. It doesn't have to move forward technologically.

Do you know how much time is covered in these games? And all they develop is trains and boats? It's ridiculous.

They should be more advanced than us when you think about it, although maybe they like staying at the level of tech they have?

Doubt it. Technology = conveniency

At least one of the many races should take on evolution in technology. But for all to sit back and say "Nah, things are great the way they are.." Is ridiculous.

There's a race other than the Hylians that has the capacity to develop complex technology

When you think about it the frequent wars they have could be slowing their progress

...They've got nothing on us when it comes to wars and battle. The only thing ~distracting~ them is a frightened little man afraid of change.

Lol, you got to give poor Hyrule a break...everytime they invent something new Evil comes and destroys everything. xD They simply can't progress with all the Twilight and flooding issues. =\

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I'll tell you what will ruin Zelda real bad? Nintendo thinking they can create an ultimate Zelda game by appealing to casuals, dumbing gameplay/difficulty down, not including lots of side-quests/challenging mini-games, no VA, making a cliched storyline (just like TP's) and making the emphasis of the game on the retarded side-kick (ie. Midna?).

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

Every other century it seems there's some new setback! TP castle looks like it was just finished then it was blown up! Granted it was restored but you get the idea
