Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I agree with you to an extent. But since violent games are commercially popular anyway, a more violent Zelda game would more than likely benefit the franchise. As for the Zelda games being CHALLENGING?? You must be a terrible gamer.

Maybe I am :p

I was referring, of course, to the puzzles. Not the combat. And I will concede that the farther back you go the harder things are (the older Zeldas are far more difficult).

Puzzles are much harder than combat in my opinion, but if you have perfected your "Zelda sense", you'll probably solve most puzzles in minutes or seconds anyway x_X

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

OK...let me rephrase that..3D Zelda games are less challenging. BTW people, I beat AOL with less than 20 deaths.. Anyway...I still think a Zelda game with less cartoonish violence is a good idea for the franchise. And yes a new Zelda game that is more challenging would be great as well.

EDIT: When I say a female or non-Link character, I mean player character.[/QUOTE]

I always thought of Fado(OOT version) as what a female Link would sort of look like

Just my opinion

Are you talking about Mido or Saria? I'm just wondering because Fado was introduced in WW IIRC *confused*

There have been three fados

One was a sage in WW

Another was the owner of the ranch in TP

But the Fado i'm talking about was a kokiri who liked to stand on top of a tree and stare around the forest.

She also appeared in the lost woods when you were an adult

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I chose other because it should be all of the above. Plus what would ruin a Zelda game that is pretty wicked is if they pull a TP. Delay it for another year after they anounced a release date and then decide to throw Ganny in there somewhere even though his appearance is rather stupid and useless.

how do you know whether or not ganon was always intended to be the main villian

and if they're giving ganon a rest for a while it's fitting he show up one last time

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

We need more story, what I would really want was an actual battle to happen and for a village get burned to the ground, not just a bunch of ganon minions wandering around for me to kill and everything be all okey-dokey afterwards, I want there to be actual consequences for an invasion from Ganon/Vaati/Demon/Tingle/Evil Warlord/Evil Guy I Have to Kill, I want a main character to die, I want to kill the evil guy and have him stay dead, and he needs to be smart enough not to go one on one with me and bring a bloody army to battle with him, I need smart townsfolk who instead of saying "Ohhhhh! Buy my red potion!" or "Fetch me those goats and I will give you a bottle!" I want them to actually notice that the dark lord of evil or whatever has blown up the castle and toppled their nation's government, I want to see the fear in there eyes, I want them to actually notice the huge barrier around the castle (I mean what the heck was with those villagers in TP? Can't they notice that somethings wrong?) and most importantly I want to affect the lives of every NPC I meet just like in Majora's Mask!

And you need dorky green clothes as well

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I voted for simplifying the storyline, but a lot of those choices would ruin it for me. Especially one without Link, it wouldn't be Legend of Zelda without him in my opinion.

Fado is a girl? Holy crap

Anyway, is her name actually announced anywhere in-game? I don't remember because I haven't spoken to anyone in OoT since 1998.

i believe this could support some people who say that ordon village was the old kokiri village. i certainly believe that it was. Maybe the humans who got into the lost woods befriended the kokiri, then named some of there young after the kokiri. then the kokiri eventually moved out then evolved into the monkeys from the forest.

Re: Which would "ruin" zelda more?

I think that not having Link would just wreck it. First of all, the Hero of Time was a make boy called Link, so It has to always be a boy who looks like Link.
