Rrrromance?

So, with Link getting progressively more developed and all (it's happening, peoples!), what would you guys think of taking a love story within the game a bit further than it has previously been? (I mean both emotionally and physically, by the way)

I think it would add more depth of character and add "memories", as Miyamoto said at his E3 press conference.

What do y'all think?

I feel like a true internet perv voting Kissing? Why stop there?, but I don't think the game or Link should be limited. If the script guys want a romance, then Nintendo shouldn't be ashamed of making it happen.

As long as the romance has a purpose for the story, I am all for it. As for actually showing kissing or more advanced kamasutra sessions on-screen.. well, I suppose kissing is FINE - kids gotta learn someday and Zelda is great for learning..

Nintendo is good at implying things through dialogue or through the characters' emotions so there's no need to show anything beyond basic animated kissing.

If I wanted a date sim, I'd go download an h game.

Why bother. All games don't need sex to be good.

Lol...I picked Kissing? Why stop there...but I guess that was a bit drastic. xD Just a few rules of romance in Zelda. If they're going to do romance...don't give Link 10 possible love interests. That annoys the crap outta me because I don't know who he's going for! Learn from Link's Awakening. One hot chick who's obsessed with him aaand...well you can't have a Zelda romance without the couple being tragically seperated at the end. xD Link is supposedly older than ever...you know how guys are as they get older. . . >_> yeah.

In Twilight Princess's credits it is heavily implied that Yeto and Yeta are doing it in the mansion...Just saying. xD (God, that's a horrible image)

I know what you're getting at. When I showed my cousin a picture of the leaked art and told her the girl might be the Master Sword she sighed and went "He's doing his sword now?" xD So uncalled for.

Link should play as a loser who can't get laid while Gannon is the master pimp of the land. After a series of tests and sex related challenges (aka temples with hot chicks being the bosses if you know what i mean ), Link finally becomes an awesome pimp and then takes over Gannon's brothel and makes Zelda (who was Gannon's sex slave) his waifu.

I think a defined love interest would be nice. But anything beyond a kiss would be too far for Zelda. Sex is extreme and we all know it won't happen. So put it back in your pants, fanboys.

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about, Phantom Gannon, not XXX.

I'd like to see an Anju and Kafei type of love but to a whole new level. I also want to see the theme of lust with Link playing out the part.

This is a subject I am oft confused by. Why is sex in video games (the notable example being Mass Effect, as you pointed out) so looked down upon? It permeates every other level of our culture in varying degrees. Films and books have been wildly more explicit than the small bit that Mass Effect showed, yet they garner no criticism for their sexual dwellings. Why is this so?

On the topic of the thread, I'd be perfectly fine with a greater romantic involvement in Zelda games. I think more than kissing would be taking it too far, though this is entirely based upon the character of Link, and not any moral standpoint. Most iterations of Link are shown as very stoic, so it might be out of character to show or hint at such an act. At least during the course of the game.

Of course, any romantic development would have to be preceded by deeper character development, and I did not mean anything close to XXX Zelda or something. If they did ever take it further than kissing, it would (hopefully) be implied, and not anything explicit.
