Ah, I still like ZeLink most in OoT. The only other time I liked it was in PH. But in Majora's Mask, Link has a flashback with her in it. It seemed very romantic-esque. When she plays him the song she says "This song reminds me of us..." It was very "awww". Sure I admit that Link was too young to be crazy over adult Zelda. But at age 10...well everyone gets a little lovey-dovey right? I know I was...>_> Heck even the kids in Kokiri Forest try to hitch up, but are obviously to nervious. I felt like for Link it was a Young love will become deep affection kinda thing. Whenever Sheik told something to Link, he/she was explaining how Link has grown.

Lol...I seriously just want a Zelda game where Link starts off in Hyrule when something bad happens. I've gotten so sick of Link comes from the very bottom of the map, from the most rural place you can imagine...and then meets Zelda in the big city or something. xD I'd rather just start off right there chilling with Zelda when something bad happens. Heck, I'm already speculating that the new Zelda is a sequel to MM. Where Link returns to Hyrule after exploring the entire world(s?). Meets up with Zelda and...yeah. xD

:/ I don't really want another "Zelink" romance, to be honest. I'm kinda bored with it, as it's something that even if you don't play the game, you can guess the pairing. "Hero saves princess, they fall in loooove".

This is why i like the idea of link marrying a ruarl girl(Malon or Illia) and leading a pleasant rural life

Though he may be some kind of knight on call where the royal family will summon him if there's trouble

Gah, but it's never been the case for a really long time. xD I've been MidnaxLink and MarinxLink and TetraxLink and Sariax(Young)Link for too long. If they dare pull the same stale princess from TP, I'll flip. Zelda has been denied as the role of the major female character for too long. Which, is exactly why she should be more of a helper, instead of a damsel in distress.

Nintendo is good at implying things through dialogue or through the characters' emotions so there's no need to show anything beyond basic animated kissing.

She did help in TP. she fired arrows while chasing Ganon. she took teh brunt of being in teh twilight realm. please don't forget shes not Peach.

By helper...I mean like Midna. It is easier to get attached to someone who is always there (like Midna and Marin) than someone who appears 3 times throughout the entire game.

There has never been a serious ZeLink relationship yet, how can you be tired of it? In fact, there hasn't been a serious relationship at all yet, just a lot of hinting.

...This is the cutest romance moment in Zelda...one of them.

Doesn't count. LA never counts. Link's Awakening is perfect.

Lol, Tetra was mean, I hated her. I don't see how Link could stand for anyone like that...but then again, that seems to be his personality...he likes the bossy ones. >_>

And just because Link and Zelda end up liking eachother doesn't mean they have to end up together. I actually think it's much more moving when they are split apart from something...meaningful. Like Link's Awakening.

Its very unlikely Link and Zelda will ever get together as Zelda wouldnt be able to marry for love, She would have a prearranged marriage whos sole purpose would be to make a strong ally for Hyrule, It would be programmed into Zelda as her duty from childhood, she wouldn't shun that as Zelda(s) always are very mindful of there duty. They may become friends, if distant outside trouble, but that would be it.

You have to give something a chance before you try something different. How can you be bored with something that hasn't actually happened? Maybe from thinking about it happening too much.

AOL and WW seem to me the most pro Zelink IMO. OOT Zelink seems destined as a best friends forever relationship and TP Zelink are just formal business partners and nothing more. With that said..if the next MATURE Link is not some hero with vast amounts of boyish innocence, I'm all for Link becoming a King that would actually fit in a royal lifestyle ruling by Zelda's side instead of being awkwardly out of place and out of his element as OOT and TP Link would be in a royal lifestyle. Sorry but forest savages and country bumpkins don't fit in among royalty IMO.

In my opinion, it doesn't necessarily need to happen--everyone expects and assumes that it will/already has happened, that it just seems so...I dunno...overplayed?

If they somehow get a fresh take on it, fine. It's just that it's already so deeply entrenched in everyone's mind that Link should fall in love with Zelda, it feels that it has already happened 100x over, if that makes any sense.

Tetra doesn't have this problem. And while she is bossy i have noticed the start of something between the two

Honestly, yes. As has been said before in this thread, Zelda has never been really known for fairy tale endings (although AoL was a notable exception to this). The grand hero marrying the princess he saved is an awfully fairy-tale-unrealistic sort of romance to me. It's nice to see him "falling in love" (if it can be called that, since he never talks) with other characters. As much as I think TP was a mediocre piece of crap for a game, I have to give the writers some very serious kudos for that ending. That was just beautiful. That's the kind of romance that Zelda needs. Not this fairytale princess and hero thing, in my opinion.
