Wow, over-dramatize much? Please clarify as to how adding a well developed and believable relationship into a Zelda game would be the equivalent of f***ing hookers in the back of cars.

My good friend, great relationships are not based on animal instincts. And yes, I over dramatize A LOT. This forum could use more good humor.

Are you trying to tell me that people have deep relationships merely because of sex drive? I find that people who have deep, lasting relationships don't always LOVE eachother, they simply have grown to respect and trust eachother enough to get through the times that they don't. So sure, love is important, but if Nintendo wanted the game to be about how Link has this deep affection for a girl that is truly profound, it would be a novel, not a game.

...No. I'm advocating the exact opposite. That a relationship should be based on more than animal instinct. I thought you were the one suggesting that if more than kissing was implied in a game that it would be a relationship based on "animal instinct". I apologize if I misunderstood.

Well, we are suggesting that there be more character development, yes. But it doesn't have to be a novel. MM was actually a shorter game than OoT, but managed to pack much more character development into it.

If Link is portrayed as what is defined as a MAN in modern culture, sure I'm not opposed to a theoretical future Zelda game that has a Fable like decisions with consequences aspect that allows the player to decide who Link gets it on with. But if Link continues to be portrayed as a little boy or teenage eternal virgin, a realistic romance story would not fit in a Zelda game IMO.

I would'nt mind a romance in Zelda, but i would like there to be a choice for the player out of which girl Link should go with. I don't mean in a dating sim way, but many games have done this tactfully by giving a few options during dialogue with certain characters.

And I would'nt really want there to be anything more than kissing to be honest. That would just dirty the Zelda series.

Anyway, i'd probably go for Malon

When it comes to OOT, Link seems to show more of a social interest with Navi, Epona, and Shiek than he does with the feminine Zelda as well as Malon and Ruto combined. But I think the fact that OOT Link is basically a little boy in heart and mind easily explains why he seems to be oblivious to what the more popular love interests are feeling. Also, his emotional attachment to either one of them are relatively the same IMO.

Woah. When I picked "Kissing? Why stop there" I didn't mean...ugh. Why is sex always associated with romance? Why can't it be marriage and a happy ever after. =\

Course Zelda isn't a game that ends like a fairy tale...and I don't want it to end like a fairy tale. Still.

I agree 100%. But I think if this is to happen, Link would need to no longer be portrayed as a pure hearted little boy or an unusually shy teenager who has no hope of ever getting a girlfriend.
