Next Link should be older...Weird. SO weird, I've always been accostumed to Link being older than I. Even Young Link used to be old in comparison to me, where's the time gone. O.o Imma be 17 in 23 days.

This Link is more sensitive, so we decided to have a voice that conveyed an image a bit different from the one in Ocarina of Time.

We received many voice samples, even from women, we tested some of them inside the actual game and the one that suited the best was the voice of Mr. Akira Sasanuma (a voice actor from Arts Vision; he’s famous for his role of Dearka Elsman in Gundam SEED). His voice has a mischievous tone in it too; we wanted Link to sound a little like a bad guy

I actually looked up the dude from Gundam SEED...he sounds like a complete jerk, even in Japanese. xD

Don't get me wrong guys/girls. I don't think Link should be portrayed as a cliche macho jerk bad boy who always gets what he wants with women. There should be a middle ground between that and the cliche gentle spoken sweet heart who usually never has a chance of ever getting laid IMO.

I think the best option for this romance would be Zelda. The awesome thing about this is we know it can't happen, they know it won't happen and thats what makes it so bittersweet =)

Its like Midna saying goodbye at the end, but its Zelda (whos way more beautiful) and on top of it, its like 100 times more emotional. I think a romantic relationship will add another dimension to the story as well.

I think TP took relationships one step further, but because Link/Illia's relationship was established before the game... it wasn't that great. Thats why if the relationship forms DURING the game, it'll be so much stronger.

Same with me i just realized yesterday that i'm about the exact same age as TP Link, one more year at most! And i remember when TP link looked so grown up a few years ago

He still looks grown up to me...I'm older than him and they made him look like he was older than me! (My appearance hasn't really changed since I was 16 anyways...not sure if this is good or bad :/)

Gimme a 20-something year old Link. THEN the whole woman/romance thing will fall very nicely into place...

Well, to be honest, he hardly looks any older at all than he has been, but they've never really accurately physically represented his age, so he could be 30 for all we know. All they have to do is say it, then make him act it and voila.

Plus, it's only one picture, and not a full on one, either. The only notable changes I see is that he looks bigger, and has slightly stronger features (jaw line, nose, etc).

But I dunno. OoT Link had a HUGE nose. Again, "older" could be 18, or it could be 35. Though I think it'd be kinda pointless to announce Link will be "more mature than he has ever been" for the difference of 2 years, you know?

He was only sixteen in TP. That's a four year difference

Making Zelda and Link have a relationship in the next game is the best possible choice.

I think romance should be a more prominent aspect of the story. If it's with young link then maybe just some hand-holding hugging stuff, but with an older link, why not have some romantic kissing?

And my theory is that the Link in the new zelda wii is the same link from OoT. I just don't think that Nintendo would make another 3-D zelda game with a different link that looks so similar to another.

It's defiantly not TP Link.... TP Link had brown hair and this one has blonde hair (like OoT Link)

It would be nice to see Link in a relationship in Z Wii. It would make me feel like I'm fighting for something that matters to the main character as opposed to saving random town NPCs and Zelda. Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind seeing her in said relationship or at the very least a more rounded character than she has been in the past. Which also reminds me, I think all of the other main characters need to be fleshed out more, with more personality and maybe even a back-story. But I digress.

I don't consider myself a Zelinker at all, but if the new Wii Zelda game had Link portrayed more as a MAN in a traditional sense, him being canonically paired up with Zelda would make sense. In TP, lets face it people, this is probably the least romantically compatible Zelink pairing in the history of the franchise for reasons that are so obvious its not even worth mentioning. In OOT, Zelda seemed to at least have some hints of having romantic feelings for Link. The problem is that Link in being a pure hearted boy in a mans body didn't seem to remotely return the same adult emotional feelings to Zelda at all.

Even if OOT Link theoretically did have romantic feelings for Zelda in the big Zelink moments, his actions or lack there of, seemed to be that of a shy & petrified little boy who was totally unsure of himself, rather than the popular notion he was somehow a Cassanova/Romeo type that wanted to get it on with Zelda IMO. That's why I always saw LinkxZelda in OOT more as a tragic love that was simply just never meant to be. Maybe this new Wii Zelda game will be the one that pleases the Zelinkers after the obvious failed disappointment of Zelink in TP.

If you want a Zelink relationship then Link should be older and more mature, not as akward around women but not a playboy either.

Personally, I would prefer a decisions with consequences aspect in the new Zelda game that would literally allow the player to choose who the more manly Link hooks up with. That way everyone is happy. But I doubt that idea will become a reality though.

Even if it does people will find a way to flame it. But that would be interesting.

It would be nice to finally see ZeLink actually happen, considering how many times it has been speculated, though a ZeLink relationship only seems to work out in a few games. And yes, TP was the best example of ZeLink not working out at all. I really felt Zelda was dull in TP, almost pointless.
