Re: I want someone to die.
Nintendo doesn't have the guts to kill Zelda? I was pretty convinced she was dead in AlttP and TP. xD Even if that wasn't really the case, they played it off as though she was.
Even if Link is wanted, the people of Kakariko could try to hide or help him kind of like ALttP. There were people who said, I could never see you as a kidnapper, I trust you...and there were people who tattled and called for guards. (Always ran into those ones. >_> ) Would be a nice twist, again.

Re: I want someone to die.
Yeah, that is true.
But what I meant was, I don't think they'd have the guts to permanently kill off any given Zelda. The only reason they do it is because they end up bringing her back. If they did, then it would be fine. I just don't see them having a Zelda killed for good.

Re: I want someone to die.
Well...when I look at death throughout the Zelda series...Every single innocent character that dies within the course of the game some how ends up in the credits fine and dandy. xD
Only character I can think of that ever stayed dead was Rutela and some soldiers in OoT, FSA and TP. Link always finds a way to make sure no character stays dead...whether by wishing on the Triforce or going back in time. It's funny, sometimes they say you can't save everyone. But for Link that never happens, even after someones dead Link like "Oh they'll be back". xD

Re: I want someone to die.
Well, plenty of Zeldas have died, just not in-game.

Re: I want someone to die.
EXACTLY! xD Zelda can die at any time as long as she has an heir...or whatever, someone to take her place.

Although it seems like it would be weird for her to have a kid.

Re: I want someone to die.
It at least needs a huge sense of impending doom. I'm obviously referring to MM here. I think that the death of a major character would add to the sense of desperation.

Re: I want someone to die.
:| So everyone should be fine and dandy throughout the entire game and the game should have no sense of danger or threat.
Okay. =D

Re: I want someone to die.
Yeah, I don't even think we need a villain. Let's just play with fairies and dance a lot. Casual gamers will love it.

In Final Fantasy 3 all protagonists die against the finalboss until to revived again for a revange. How about Galuf, General Leo and Aeris they all dies, too. Miyamoto is just a coward to let Link die.

Re: I want someone to die.
Death isn't necessarily melodramatic. It happens in real life, so that makes it realistic, not melodramatic. Melodrama is all in the presentation. If Nintendo managed to make it realistic, it would be fine.
But I agree that I don't want to see Link clutching Zelda's body and screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" into the sky.

Re: I want someone to die.
Lol...Zelda games never handles death that way...usually when someone dies in Link's presence Link is like "O.o" or sometimes he doesn't react at all. xD And that's as dramatic as Link gets. It's not Link's reaction that is important anyways...it's the fact that someone died that makes it important.
