Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
And the Bowser Jr. Airship Armada Boss Battle sounds pretty rock music-like to me.

Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
Song of Storms Brawl remake contains electric guitar backup, and it sounds badass.
Zelda has always contained multiple sound styles. If rock is what fits the environment, that's what goes in, but you'd have to look far to find an area that needs rock music. Quote:

Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
Oh...I love cellos. =D Anyways, I think Zelda should explore all types of music. As far as I know Koji Kondo didn't play a big part in Twilight Princess...and I know I'm not the only one who expected Zelda to get an epic orchestra before Mario did. =\ I think most people love Zelda's more upbeat songs: Saria's Song, Gerudo Desert, Dragon Roost, Molgera...I think every Zelda needs 2 really catchy original songs.
I also loved the soundtrack to Okami, but I'm just trying to figure out how the heck classical asian music could fit into Zelda...

Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
I seem to have created a monster
![]() Here's another example of music that doesn't really fit the time period. I agree that Zelda is slower paced than most games but it has times when the music gets more upbeat. The Molgera theme comes to mind here. I didn't bring up the idea of rock music because it will make zelda 'cool' I brought it up because I think it would actually wrok really well and be somthing a little different.

Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
Woooah, Most of my favorite Zelda songs have a guitar in them...Acoustic guitar. Yeahhhhhhh, Faron Woods, Gerudo Valley (again) , Gerudo Desert, Dragon Roost, Zora's Domain, The Sad song while Ralis makes unfit sounds.
LOOOOVE Guitar...acoustic.

Re: Zelda's Musical Renaissance
There will always be music in The Legend of Zelda, the amazing music is something the series has been known for. As for the style, The Legend of Zelda is nothing but a huge blend of many world cultures. There are Indian elements, Japanese (of course), Chinese, Greek, Middle-Eastern, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, American "Indian", South American, etc... It seems each game shows off some more than others, but all these elements are there, whether in music alone or in the culture of the people in the game. I'd love to hear some Japanese music poke through a little more with some crazy shakuhachi and taiko, even shamisen! These could be cool for the enemy music or something, or used in a town. I'm hoping for multiple little, well populated, townships with different cultural styles. I loved how Kakariko took on a somewhat Native American approach in TP. It somehow made me think of the Sheikah more along those terms in that game, whether Renado was Sheikah or not. And Ordon seemed pretty Japanese to me (not the music but the way the people dressed and looked) while the Hidden Village was obviously the American Old West. This is one reason I love The Legend of Zelda above any other game, book, movie, or story!
