What's your opioion if nintendo put "demo play" on future zelda games

Quote:
Ever been stuck on a level of a game and got so frustrated you just gave up? Well, not anymore.

A patent was discovered in January (Created by Shigeru Miyamoto) that hinted that Nintendo would be making games a bit easier for casual gamers. And just last week, it was hinted that Nintendo would be implementing a system, starting with the New Super Mario Bros. Wii, that would make games easier for casual gamers. What is this new system, you ask? Read on.

Demo play. What is this? If you happen to be stuck on a level, you will have the option to stop the game and let the computer take over.

Don’t worry, the computer doesn’t beat the level for you, merely shows you how to beat it. Once the computer has completed the level, you simply push a button and continue, now enlightened on how to defeat that new enemy or how to evade a trap.

Shigeru Miyamoto (the creator of this feature) said, “In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they’re ready. And yes, we’re looking into this for future games.”

So, enjoy this feature and don’t abuse it. I hope you’ll give a good try to beat the level by yourself first.
I'm wondering what will happen if they put this system on zelda games. Is this system helpful, or just make us feel bad?

What's your opinion?

Discuss.

(Excuse me if my English is hard to read)

It wouldn't make a difference to me. If however I could use it to make my mom play Zelda, I'd set it up in an instant.

I have the same idea, maybe I'll teach my father to play Zelda, my mom didn't play any video game.

It would be cool, only if they allow you to control the camera angle for epicness... And if they allowed you to record the footage to your SD card, that would be awesome... Of course they're probably not gonna do all that so,
in reality I think it's retarded, plus the mere temptation of having the hardest puzzles and bosses solved for me would be quite a problem.

If it helps new people to the series enjoy the game without frustration I'm all for it. If it means they can add some harder challenges then I'm really for it.

Well the whole point of this system is it isn't for us. Throwing in the fact it's completely optional, I don't honestly see why we're complaining. This is the training wheels that are going to get casual players into 'hardcore' games, like Zelda, without dumbing down the games themselves. Back in my day, if you were stuck in a game you were left guessing until your eyes bled, or you could wait for Nintendo Power to print a walkthrough for you. There wasn't an internet, or official walkthroughs.

Then came along walkthroughs and eventually the internet and playing games became a hundred times easier. But some people, like kids who are just getting into games, don't know about walkthroughs, or of magazines that can help. Yes, the internet has everything on it, but that doesn't mean that your grandma is going to think of that right away when she has a problem. When most people, ie people with lives, ie people who don't go on this site, don't immediately do well at a game, they toss it at the bottom of whatever drawer they have their games in, and the next time they see it in a store, they will remember "Hmm that last one was difficult, better not buy it." People aren't going to have that problem. Means theoretically people are going to be purchasing more of these games as time goes by and as more people are incorporated into 'our' section of the gaming industry.

This solves the problem presented by the casual vs hardcore audiences.

I think you get the point.

To be honest, at the first time I see this news, I feel like "What's wrong with Miyamoto, let the computer play the game itself, it's ridiculous~" something like that.

But now I think he is right, this system will help the beginner so much, and the hardcore player can ignore it.

It looks like the hard level, but more helpful. I'll wait to see how this system work. Maybe after beat the game, I'll watch the computer link's adventure for fun~

No... make the Zelda games harder you lost in sight sheep.

I am sick of Nintendo trying to make casual gamers interested. They think casual gamers are actually interested in their games. They just play games for the occasional fun time. They aren't in to it or anything. I really can't see why Zelda games need this stupid new thing and I can't see why they are making Zelda games so easy. I just want more aggressive monsters. What is so hard about it FFS

*Facepalm*

Don't you get it? The reasons games aren't hard right now for us, is because most of us have been playing these games for a decade now. Of course the game isn't hard for us. But for the 8 year old kid who is playing Zelda for the first time with TP, how is he going to know what to do when he comes to a Goron?

With this in the games they don't have to dumb down Zelda. They can make Zelda harder if they put this in because now they don't have to worry about losing the casual audience.
