Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

It seems Nintendo likes to release a game where Link faces a different evil aside from Ganon after each "main" quest against him.

Ex. ALttP > LA
OoT > MM
TWW > PH

Do you think the new Wii Zelda will have Ganon? If not, are you looking forward to what new evil awaits?

They kind of broke that "formula" with TP and PH, as PH came out after TP but is a sequel to WW and TP won't be getting a sequel any time soon.

Anyway, they will probably try to make Wii Zelda the best Zelda ever, so it will probably include piggy Ganon.

I think we need a break from Ganon, his appearance in TP felt tacked on. It took away the focus from Zant. I think it would've been better to make Zant stronger and have him be the main baddie.

LA and MM proved that we don't (always) need Ganon to have an epic Zelda game.

Personally I believe Ganon needs to be kicked off Zelda games for a while. He is pretty much ruining the series now, since Zant, who had tons of potential as a main villain, turned out to be a retard who thought Gannondorf was a god. He could've been pretty cool though, what a shame they had to ruin his character to fit him in the story.

I hope not. Ganon has been used far too much, and in TP it completely ruined Zant's character. I think Ganon needs to be retired for a good long while to give other villains time to shine, since so far the only other villain who has appeared in multiple games is Vaati.

The entire second half of TP felt tacked on, don't pin it on Ganondorf.

I wouldn't mind Ganondorf returning, but he needs more time, he can't just sit in his tower all day. As much as WW gave him character, it was still a monologue before the final battle. He needs to play an active role on the scene, instead of a passive role behind it.

In some Zelda titles Ganondorf did take a back seat in the game. In 2000-01 Majora's Mask was released with Ganon no where to be found. Would the Zelda title be good without Ganon; maybe, maybe not. If he were in the game it would be nice if we saw more of a back story on Ganndorf instead of a five minute cut scene. Throughout Ocarina of Time we the player get bits and pieces of his background. Maybe the new title will give us more information about Ganondorf, how the goddesses picked Zelda, Link, Ganondorf, and what makes Link worthy to hold the Master Sword. Also, judging from that released picture maybe we will find out who or what the Master Sword really is. If Nintendo can get that into one game and connect it, the new title would be amazing but hey anything is possible.

I dont care if they mention Ganon or show him in some small way, but please don't make him the prime antagonist >_>
The 'traditional Zelda formula' is getting more than traditional. It's getting boring.

I don't find Ganon "ruined" Zant's character.

Sure Zant was a much better villain than Ganon, but I liked the idea of not simple having the "one main bad guy"... there was a little twist there, and it gave Zant more depth.

But I would like them to keep Ganon out of this next one, yes.

Believe it or not I think Ganondorf should've been in Twilight Princess since Ganondorf hasn't yet been involved into the Child Timeline (Oot-MM-TP) that much. He needed to be killed off in that timeline anyways. But when I first saw the Twilight Princess trailer, Zant was a really cool & mysterious individual. Throughout the game he gets reduced to a retarded minion of Gannondorf who thinks Ganon is a god. I would've had it so may be Link kills Gannondorf half-way through the game and then at the end he fights Zant.

Oh by the way, does anyone else remember Miyamoto saying Ganondorf would play a little role in Twilight Princess?

The game should have Ganondorf in a flashback or somthing. Whether it be Link's or the main Villain's. Maybe to somehow explain why somthing has happened, for instance why the villain has gained power.

Although I think Ganondorf has been a bit overused, if he had've been used better in the past I wouldn't feel this way now.

But if they make a great game with Ganondorf as the main baddie that's cool too.

I wonder if there is some kind of Ganon support group in the Sacred Realm where they all meet and cry and talk about how Link defeated them. I think it would make for a great comic fanart anyway.

Ganon needs to be in the new game... I mean sure he keeps returning, but Nintendo more than makes up for it by making each battle fresh, and giving us a new perspective of him each time... Furthermore, it isn't like it's the same story each time... get weapons, kick butt and save the princess, no, each game has it's own story, it's own monsters and bosses and it's own rendition of Ganondorf, even going as far as changing the way his beast form looks...which I think is pretty cool... Besides, Link has to kill plenty of other interesting monsters as it is, and I think Ganondorf has every right to be in the new game as every other recurring character.

I say make a new bad guy, and reduce Ganon to secondary status... They could perhaps do the M.Bison/Akuma thing and have the new bad guy descend and beat him down just as the fight begins...

Ganondorf has nothing to do with the series running dry, it's how he's been portrayed in the games lately. Twilight Princess was a mediocre game in general, it had nothing to do with Ganon's presence. Twilight Princess was more of a game catering to the North American audience, and in doing so it relied too much on being an epic appealing adventure then a real worth while experience like most Zelda's. Everything about TP felt tacked on in my opinion, it was just very dull and uninteresting. Compared to the Wind Waker, it was really a step down for the franchise.

On topic, I think we will see Ganon again, if the Master Sword is included, then you can bet Ganon will be as well.

It would be interesting to see them use someone else other than Ganon. It's not that I don't want him there it just would be cool for someone new.

I do not think they will use ganon once more for awhile. Maybe they should give him a break and let other villains have a chance to let themselves be known in the series.

I am betting that both titles will have a new villain, and I'm excited to see what they are. Who knows, maybe we'll get a rockin' awesome villain like Majora's Mask and Vaati in MC.

I don't think Ganon should make an appearance for a while. Nintendo should give the ol' pig a break.

And, by the way, once ST and Zelda Wii come out, here's an easy way to tell if Ganon's in the game. If, at any time during the game, he is mentioned by name, he will be in the game and will be the final boss. Guaranteed.

I honestly hope not. He's has been hit with overkill.. And TP was a disgrace to his character... He needs to go away for a little while.. Then make one hell of a comeback.

Maybe they'll make something like majoras mask or bellum, I honestly am sick of ganon, I mean I love fighting with ganondorf and the sword fights are awesome, but something new wouldnt hurt.

I really liked Zant's character, just because he was weak and cowardly and foolish doesn't make him a bad character, it just makes him bad. Which was perfect for a sub-boss.

Even still, I think if this turns out to be a TP sequel Ganon should stay out of it--he did really really die in TP after all, with the fading triforce and whatnot. BUT if it isn't a sequel, and it's looking like it's not, then he will probably show up somehow.

Sidenote: I think Shiek will be back for this new wii zelda. I say this b/c her character was designed in completion for TP but never used, and that model was later used in SSBB. I think developers will see her character in SSBB as successful and choose to include her in the new zelda. Heaven knows why they went to all the trouble to design her in TP and never use her...

This is exactly why we need Ganon in Z-Wii, so he can redeem himself.

You aren't sick of Ganon, you're just afraid that his next appearance will be as lackluster as his appearance in TP.
