Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

Aww.
i hate seeing all this ganny bashing=[[
i like him in all of the games.
but i do agree to a extent that he is being over used. but its not like, horible. its just time to let up for a few games. maybe like, no ganny in ST, the new zelda wii, and the zelda game after that. maybe only making slight appearences in flashbacks, or just being brought up. then, after that, just have him come back in like a awesome comeback. like, maybe use all the time they arnt making the new games to come up with a really in-depth plot for ganny.

Even still, I think if this turns out to be a TP sequel Ganon should stay out of it--he did really really die in TP after all, with the fading triforce and whatnot. BUT if it isn't a sequel, and it's looking like it's not, then he will probably show up somehow.

Sidenote: I think Shiek will be back for this new wii zelda. I say this b/c her character was designed in completion for TP but never used, and that model was later used in SSBB. I think developers will see her character in SSBB as successful and choose to include her in the new zelda. Heaven knows why they went to all the trouble to design her in TP and never use her...

It was probably because they didn't like the idea of bringing Sheik back.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

I want a new badass baddie. Like what Zant was in the first half of TP. I still am disappointed that he turned out to be a wussy. I wanted a long, rigorous boss battle.

Anyway, we need someone that both looks awesome, is menacing, can scared the **** out of you, and will whoop your ass when the time calls for it.

Ganon is just making the series boring.

Yeah, but even if his appearance is a good one in the next time... It will still feel like too much Ganon in too short a time. WW - TP - Zelda Wii.

I mean.. If they can do it in the same light as OoT.. I'm for it. But anything less will just feel... tired.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

Double A, Ganon/dorf could be the greatest implementation of his character since his pinnacle in the Wind Waker, and I'd still be pissed off. He no longer holds any aspect of fear, or terror, because you've beaten him so many times. He is akin to Team Rocket in Pokemon - he's had the **** beaten into him so much he's basically a joke villain who inspires nothing more than a wearied sigh.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

They gave Ganon a break in PH. If they gave him another break in ST, would you find it fine for Ganon to be in the next Zelda for Wii?

I just really want to see him in Z-Wii. The thing is, if Z-Wii has the most innovative gameplay around, then it really wouldn't matter if OoT's story was recycled for the umpteenth time.

Ganon will be there. He's frozen in the end of TP, not dead. For those who mayy take it literal, I didn't mean frozen in ice. I meant he was stuck in place. He could have been moved. Use your imagination.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

Well if they do bring back Ganondorf in this game and it does become a sequel to TP then they are going to need some epicly giant way to explain his return.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

Well they did have 3 years to think up a story for him.
Ha 3 years sounds like it could be a drawn out MM...

Agreed.

Ganondorf felt tacked on in TP for the simple reason that the storyline is written after the environments are made. How could he not be tacked on?

I believe that the story lines are going to be like that from now on unless they start writing the stories first.

Re: Will the new Wii Zelda have Ganon?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Just because Ganondorf screwed up in Twilight Princess doesn't mean he should be kicked out. He needs to redeem himself. Give him more character development and backstory and all will be forgiven. I'm sick Ganondorf too, so if he's not presented in a different way then screw him. But he is the major villain of the series (only in 4 games though.) and he will rear his ugly head in every major Zelda game.

Ganondorf needs to be seen in a new light...or rather, a new darkness.
