I actually agree with that, TP was just a few tweaks and polishes to every other zelda game out there, it just sometimes seems like he hates zelda, rather than likes any of them at all.

I think OOT and MM are two of the greatest games of all time, and WW was also very good. After that though, yeah, they suck.

I think OOT and MM are two of the greatest games of all time, and WW was also very good. After that though, yeah, they suck.
But see, you just told me aspects of the game you think sucked. What you said had no relation to what I was trying to say. You said It's was practically a remake of OoT. I had good reasons it wasn't, and that's what I was trying to point out to you, yet you totally avoided the whole purpose of my post. That was to make you realize it wasn't a practical remake of OoT, and you oubviously realize it, because you would've argued that it still was. But instead, you talked about how those aspects of the game sucked, totally avoiding the subject, like I said.
1. You realize that it is not a practical remake of OoT anymore.
2. I still totally disagree that TP sucked, and while 2 others have agreed with you, there is millions who love TP and call it their favorite Zelda game.

Yet with that said, we both are going totally off topic with this discussion, which was intentionally made to discuss which game had more hype here on the ZU forums. We both have totally different opinions, and that's fine. But I just don't want to go off topic, and go into an all out flaming war. It could be bad for us if we continue, casue we both could get suspended for flaming for a period of time. Look, you have your opinion, and I bet millions of people would agree with you. I have my own opinion, and I bet millions of people would agree with me. But we should just put this whole situation aside, and try to get along, and be friends. That's the best thing to do.

Zelda Wii by far. I think the DS one looks kind of wierd but nevertheless it'll always be a part of the Zelda franchise whether people like it or not. But I'm more of a console Zelda player and I'm most hyped for the Zelda Wii.:mastah sword:

I'm really excited for Zelda Wii though, the things i really expect from Zelda Wii are:

- Better Graphics than TP

- A More Challenging game (which i doubt will happen considering what Nintendo has been doing in their recent years)

- A good plot/storyline (not any of the basic Ganon takes over Hyrule and Link saves the land and Zelda, some thing a little more unique and not a dirty trick like TP) They should look at MM for inspiration.

- No "Link collects three special items from three dungeons, something very important to the story happens, then Link goes out to more dungeons and collects more special items, then banish and/or kill the main villain of the game which is more than likely Ganon". Once again they need to seek inspiration from MM.

Those are 4 major things that i expect from Zelda Wii, which i highly doubt that Nintendo will try to accomplish (maybe they'll get the graphics right though)

YOU! Go take over the Zelda development team and teach them! PLEASE!!!!
I couldn't agree with you more!

Re: What are you more hyped for? Zelda: Spirit Tracks or Zelda Wii?

I'm excited about the new Wii Zelda because there's so much stuff they haven't released about it that it keeps me so 'at the edge of my seat'.
But I still think that it is very possible that the new game can disappoint me.

As for the new Spirit Tracks, I'm full of the cel-shaded Link. And a train....really? It would take years for my mind to accept that.

Re: What are you more hyped for? Zelda: Spirit Tracks or Zelda Wii?

The new Wii Zelda by far. I mean, Twilight Princess was pretty good for what it was. The problem I have with the new systems is that the companies try too hard to make the motion sensitive aspects of the game console such a big piece of the game that the gameplay is overshadowed by the stupid controls. I thought that Twilight princess found a good balance between the two. They seem to have a bit more trouble finding that balance on the DS.

I'd have to say spirit tracks because I have nothing to keep me occupied until Spirit tracks release date and when spirit tracks comes out on december first, I'll have something to do until Zelda wii comes out.

Re: What are you more hyped for? Zelda: Spirit Tracks or Zelda Wii?

I'm more hyped for Spirit Tracks. Simply because we know more about it than Zelda wii. Plus it'll be coming out soon. I find it easier to get hyped over two trailers than a painting.

I have no doubt that Zelda wii will eventually be better, but being hyped for a game that won't come out for over a year and will probably be delayed without knowing anything about the game as of now... sounds like fun.

Re: What are you more hyped for? Zelda: Spirit Tracks or Zelda Wii?

Zelda Wii, totally. I think Spirit Tracks will be like another PH, and while I like PH, it's not what I want in a Zelda game. The Great Sea felt so small, somehow.

However, I'm looking forward to a dark, serious Zelda game!

How nice for you, unfortunately that opinion doesn't change the fact that it's a differing gameplay element.

Never had this problem. I myself own the GC version, however - played the Wii version at a friend's place so to see the difference.

Indeed, you've done little to actually prove that TP is a rehash of OoT.

I'm more into the upcoming Zelda Wii. This seems biased, but I prefer consoles over handhelds. I still liked PH, but after reading Jff's view on ST, I'm reluctant.
