Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

How 'bout a flute? A real flute, not an ocarina. That would be a bit easier to do with a Wiimote than a guitar or a harp at least.

And maybe a drum minigame could be thrown in sometime, using the Wiimote/nunchuck as drumsticks.

An ax? For Link? Bwahahahaha!

That's what I believe.
Well TP had the wolf howling thing. Which i thought was really neat. But it wasnt enough.

Yea I mean you only got to do that like 6 times the entire game, and only in remote spots in the game. We also had those blades of grass too, but only like 2 types and that's it. So basically we had only like 2 playable songs in the game.

Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

ew. a battle ax sounds gross. and for the kid who suggested using it to cut down a giant tree, really? you dont chop down a giant tree quickly>_<

well, you know, this could work out.
The Legend of Zelda: Lumberjack of Hyrule

and for the hell of it, we can make him and Mario friends, and they have to work together unclogging drains and cutting down trees!

Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

A new instrument would be fun IMO. Only it must be small enough to fit in his pockets (although Link can hold major sized weapons and not being seen carrying them). So a guitar for example would be nice, but is to big to carry around.

The axe that has been suggested would be to far going. Though, some new weapons, or some classic ones would be nice to see. For example what would be nice, if Link has got a new sword, not to replace the Master Sword, but something totally new. For example a katana.

Whatever...I just don't see how an axe is oh so ridiculous compared to a giant hammer or spiked Ball and Chain. An axe could bring newer puzzles, instead of the same ole' smash this switch, smash that dragon type mechanic.

like, i guess an axe would be ok, but only if it was small. like not some huge thing.

Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

I would want the Ocarina of time to come back, not because of what it would do for gameplay, but because of what it could do to the story for another potential time-traveling game.

Imagine what the Ocarina of time could do after the split timeline... would it transport you between the two timelines?
I think that would make a very cool story

Instruments? Yes. Bring them back. It was fun playing them.
Battle Axes? No. Never. No. No. No. No. NO. No.

Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

I don't think an axe would be too far fetched in a game with a spiked ball and chain, and a large hammer. As has been said. Though battle axes kind of carry the image of big burly barbarian types, or something. Link is supposed to be more knight-ish.

Though an axe or hatchet could be used in puzzles that would fit better than using a sword or hammer. Swords slice, axes chop, and hammers crush. Realistically, using an axe on a thick tree or pole would be more efficient than using a sword or hammer.

I'd rather they keep the B&C than bring back the hammer. The B&C is a great improvement.

I'm waiting for them to bring in a lance. It would be cool fighting on horseback with a lance. Just at long as he uses it to thrust, instead of swing, like he does with the spears in TWW.

Re: Battle Axe's and Instruments.

They had a good variety of musical instruments in MM. They could bring those back. A piano type instrument might round it out nicely, as well.
