Leaked Zelda Wii painting (High Quality)

There's no doubt in my mind, the similarities between that lady on the poster and WW's Fairy Queen.
In other news, that is one hot piece of concept art. Mr. Miyamoto, I want a poster please

Wow...now that's an awesome piece of art there. I'm loving the girl's design...very mysterious. It clearly mimics the Master Sword in some ways...makes me very intrigued to learn more about her.

Personally, I'd love to see her play a huge role in the combat somehow--it would offer a fresh new way to mix up the combat a little, just as TP did with the Hidden Skills.

Of course she might not be the Master Sword, but considering all we know at this point, it's a plausible theory based on the fact that her design obviously reflects it and that Link has no sword in his (right) hand, which Miyamoto was quick to point out.

I also think Miyamoto specifically said that Link wasn't holding a sword, not that he didn't have one altogether. Don't quote me on that, though.

On top of that, the fact that she VAGUELY looks like the Master Sord pales in comparison to her resemblance to the Fairy Queen.

No-one's asking you to believe it, they're asking you to believe it's possible. If you believe anything as truth that you read in a zelda speculation thread, you're DOING IT WRONG.

If it's the Fairy Queen, considered me sold on the idea.

I'm still not thrilled about it looking like TP though. I was praying they'd just stay far away from that game. :/ Oh well. Maybe this time they'll actually write a good story... with memorable characters.

I lol'd at the Fairy Queen vs Master Sword argument.

Its way too early to tell but here's my theory for anyone that's willing to listen. The Master Sword is a magical sword imbued with the power to defeat evil. Where do you suppose the sword could get that power from? It may be a little far-fetched but perhaps...a fairy? I believe fairies are beings of light, a Fairy Queen would certainly be a powerful entity of light. Perhaps possessing the power to repel evil? The creators of the sword wanted to make a sword that could defeat the evil they faced, right? My theory is that they captured a fairy queen and sealed her within the sword to give the sword the power to smite evil. The girl pictured would be the fairy spirit of the Master Sword. Hence the reason she looks like the Fairy Queen of TWW and bears a resemblance to the sword. Just a theory though I'd love to hear some feedback. Still too early to tell since we only have one piece of art but I have a feeling that's something Nintendo would do.

"Lady =Fairy Queen" = a pretty cliched idea.

You don't know that it's a plot-twist if you don't know the plot. It may well be plainly stated right from the beginning.

Even though she might look like the WW Great Fairy, remember that Link doesn't look like WW Link. :/

She could be like some sort of alien or a masked girl... Different graphics guys.

The most likely reason for the lack of sword is the forced introduction of hand-to-hand combat.

And, what evidence could POSSIBLY be inferred against the presence of the Fairy Queen from one piece of artwork? We only have two games to learn about her from, and in those, we learn almost nothing.

On top of THAT, the resemblance to the FQ is uncanny. It's the exact same hairstyle and almost the exact same face.

I don't think its a plot twist, most likely a core element of the game.
