Bad translation maybe? A lot of stuff Miyamoto says makes absolutely no sense and sounds like bad riddles. I assume he spoke japanese and someone translated for IGN, which would explain the weird answers.

Now that you mention it, probably. But do keep in mind that he did point out Link has no sword for a reason, IGN didn't mention or ask anything about it, yet Miyamoto felt the need to point it out for some reason. Perhaps to hint.

How many Zelda games has link started with a sword in his hand? Not many. Seems kind of obvious to me.

Just because he has no sword in the begining doesn't mean he won't get one quickly.

It wasnt my idea though, i just matched some common things in both images. But i'm glad you took a minute to look at the point i was trying to get across. thanks

My theory is that this might be the creation of the Master Sword. The Master Sword had to have come from somewhere and placed in that ground. Miyamoto has been doing these interviews and conferences for more than 20 years, I think he knows what he's saying and saying it deliberately. His hint is that "they are working on it" (meaning the sword, I assume). He specifically pointed out the lack of sword. This will be a very interesting game no matter what. But no hype, Nintendo doesn't like hype

anyone who misinterpreted Miyamoto as saying Link will have NO sword in the next Zelda Wii Title doesn't know how to google.

Could you please stop spamming that Master Sword image, it's not even that good of a speculation.

Absolutely, he's definitely trying to create some mystery around it.

If I get into it, there's a tendency for difficulty levels to ramp up so that's something I really have to watch for myself to make sure that I don't do that.

The Girl and Master Sword connection is getting more odd every time i want to think about it.

Interesting interview. Glad to hear that it wont be connected to TP. Now I'm just hoping the graphics and style of the game shines differently so no confusion between TP and the new game can be made.

This sounds doable I think. This game concentrate more on puzzles. There would still be enemies. You would just use like a bow and arrow. I imagine the first temple in this game. Link would be mostly defenseless with enemies there. You could use your shield to block, but that's it. You would have to puzzle solve until you get to the mini- boss, then defeat it using your environment. After you defeat it you get the Hero's Bow. That would be a clever and unique way to start a temple. That + no Zelda and or Ganon would make this a favorite for me.

I'm going to go ahead and say that, if she's not THE Master Sword, she at least has a definite connection to it.

Miyamoto never says that it isn't a sequel to Twilight Princess. He just said Zelda Wii doesn't follow the same story. In that sense it seems to be like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Same Link, but on a different adventure entirely.

I cannot wait for this game already.

He does however say that it takes place in a different era, leading me to believe that it's not the same Link as TP.

This piece of art has not yet been released publicly, but we noticed that Link appears to have grown to full adulthood. He looks older than he did in Twilight Princess. Is that a correct assumption?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, the story setting for this Zelda is, of course, in a completely different era and Link is older than he was previously. More approaching adulthood. There is one hint. Maybe from the art work you can see that he's not holding a sword.
