No one really knows for sure. A resolution picture like this is hiding so many things. It does look very similar to TP, but then again, we could be wrong when Nintendo does release the graphics images of the game, and in better resolution too.

But Link is going to be older than ever before, from what I've heard.

The image's so awesome, it goes to my signature.

Edit: Looks like Link's right handed again- that's fine with me.

You can tell that this is nothing like Wind Waker Link, so if anything it's at least similar to TP Link's art style. Of course, we know nothing about the environment yet, but chances are it'll be 'realistic' too. As for older, I was just thinking "TP Link +10".

In the end, I'd like it if this weren't a TP sequel. Even if it uses the same style, which I find dull personally, I'd like a new story with no previous ties.

I just can't get the "Mature" Link image in my head, I mean isn't Link always supposed to be a young hero?

Hey.. what about that little event that Nintendo's gonna have around now? Was that for real?

Ghostly Zelda logo... And what I think looks like a floating blue ghost/spirit.

Well, if you look back at OoT and MM, they have similar (the same) style and they were sequels to each other.

This also applies with WW, PH and of course ST.

So this game might be with some relation to TP. A sequel. But no one knows just yet.

Re: Zelda Wii!

I think the story-line has to do with whats on his back with the matching logo and all.

There's nothing on his back. That's a woman in a bluish robe.

Re: Zelda Wii!

I'm not seeing a woman in that.
I scaled it up to 500% in Paint and used Gimpshop to trace it onto a new layer, which I totally free-handed in five colors and then saved separately. It is not very good quality, but this is what I'm seeing.

I'm definitely seeing some kinda head. Reminds me of Pokemon.

If it is a woman, she's leaning heavily on his back.
But still, I'm seeing some kinda Ezlo/Lugia.

Re: Zelda Wii!

OMG ZELDA WII!!! No seriously, I am not suprised that Miyamoto follows up with ST a Zelda Wii... I won't be suprised if they use the art style of WW, because of him saying "TP will be the last of it's kind." Then we just happen to get to more Cel-Shades. Unless he meant it will be the last Zelda that's so primitive in technology, or it will be the last "realistic" or "dark" Zelda. I will enjoy a Zelda Wii, if it is Cel-SHade, maybe not so much passed of as "silly." PH's style was Cel-SHaded, but they managed to make somewhat, "dark." Over-all Zelda Wii is best imo, but they shouldn't use Cel-SHaded graphics if they use a button scheme like TP Wii.

It looks like generic adult link #3

still, this news gave me chills, I hope they give link atleast some sort of make-over. Like what they did between OOT adult Link and TP Link.

o_O

How can you see that much in a low quality image?

It looks like the two of them mixed together if you ask me. He could be wearing chainmail, or not.

No one knows just yet, obviously.

I'm taking this "mature" design as a sign that the Wii Zelda won't be casual-centric as a lot of people seem to think.

I agree. Also if you take notice of what track they took with Metroid, I don't see why they would skip over link.
