Scariest Zelda Game Ever

I've been thinking about a scary Zelda game. And I had an idea.

What if the main villian was a little girl?

She would be maybe 9 years old. I always picture her with little borwn braids, blue eyes, and a checkered dress. She would be master of torture. Her weapon would not be killing everyone, no; she would win them over to her side by driving them to insanity with torture. (Psychological torture, not physical, so they could squeeze this into and E-T rating) This game would have lots of psychological horror; for example one of the bosses would be Link's friends who the main villian would have driven insane, to the point of attacking him.

I think that the fact that the villian is a child would in itself be creepy; as you go along you would learn about her past, what twisted a little girl to the point she decided to take over the world.

Thoughts?

The evil little girl cliche? No thanks.

The kind of game you are describing is way different from any Zelda we have had before that it would stick out like a sore thumb.

Zelda creepy is more like how WW handled the Redeads and TP the large poes and the Lanayru vision.

If they were to do more creepy stuff they could have a ghost town where everyone has been turned into a redead (like OoT did with Castle Town) but make it a temple and add in many unique redeads so it looks like they used to be real people. Have them suddenly burst out of the ground or out of wreckage and their voices crying of suffering in the background

I don't like this idea...the little girl thing is a bit over used now, so it would'nt really be that creepy.

I say stick to Ganondorf but develop his character more, make him do more sinister things and personally attacking Link (such as killing someone close to him etc.) I seem to recall there was a rumor about Ganondorf killing Epona in TP before the game came out. I thought that sounded like a pretty good reason for Link's hatred to grow against him.

zelda is zelda, its not suppose to be a scary game
some scary scene or enemy's are fine though

a zelda scary game will be nice,imagine if we get to see Link in a silent hill type zelda,oh my god.

I vote no on "little girl" and yes on "killing Link's friend." Either that or torture Link's friend. Now that would be horrifying.. although not by Zelda standards. *cough*MM*cough*

how to make a game scary:
1. change the background music
2. keep the same enemies, but lower their numbers and put them in key places
3. change enemies sounds to something that will stick in your head after you are done playing

you just need this to make ANY game (even the Barbie Dressup Series lol) a scary one, TP is a scary game, if you change these 3 items

You have a good point. The music sets the mood. The idea of less enemies makes them harder or scarier (and the right spot really helps that out) and an enemy with a scary sound sticks in your head way better. Kinda like the redeads. The scream sticks in your head. But the chuchu's don't have a very scary sound

no way the great faeries in OoT and MM where scary enough if you know what i mean.

I think personally, that the scariest Zelda game ever made was the Wind Waker. But that's my own opinion merely because I am terrified of wide open spaces, and throughout the whole game, you're sailing through one. However, other than my own personal opinion and thinking more towards a child's view, I'd say Ocarina of Time with it's Shadow Temple, and it's turn of events from being a child to an adult.
