New Play Control! The Wind Waker
would you like to see TWW added to Nintendo's New Play Control! series?
I know I would want it. I want to buy the regular GC version, but I don't want to go out and look for a memory card and GC controller. ![]() anyways though, do you think it would be worth the buy to get this game released on wii? Would it be similar to TP? would it sell well? Should Nintendo even bother? tell me what you think ![]() |

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker
No, because I really don't see how it can benefit from it. This holds true for every New Play Control game aside from the Metroid Prime games. I also am annoyed that Nintendo is putting effort into rehashing old Gamecube games and slapping on cheap wiimote waggle gimmicks, instead of focusing on original games.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker
Nintendo is a smart company. They know most of their fanbase are retards who'll buy anything that has to do with Zelda, Mario, or Metroid.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker
Same problem like in the current OoT remake thread. New play control based on what? Twilight Princess? Nah, even Nintendo theirselves said, that Twilight Princess for Wii wasn't perfect at all in terms of controls. And we don't know, how different the gameplay and controls will be in the upcoming Zelda Wii. Both maybe won't fit for The Wind Waker.
But so far except for some fun stuff like Jungle Beat Nintendo prefered to have their NPC titles based on later installments of the corresponding series. For example the Metroid Primes are based on Corruption's controls and both Pikmins are probably based on Pikmin 3's controls. They can't let The Wind Waker be based on Twilight Princess, we don't know anything about the next Zelda on the Wii and The Wind Waker isn't exactly material for coming up with some cheesy new "bongo bongo waggle waggle"-controls. So, no, The Wind Waker probably won't be part of the New Play Control! series. There are other GameCube titles, that are suited better for that, Luigi's Mansion or Mario Kart Double Dash (with online play) for example would be nice NPC choices.

If I could go back in time two years ago, I would have gotten an Xbox360 or a PS3. I really don't think that there are enough challenging, hardcore games for the wii. It's a shame, I thought that Nintendo would use the Wii to showcase new, awesome ways to play-instead it's now a gimmick ![]() |

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker
I'd rather see a new WW game for Wii with motion controls. More advanced than TP, tho, but I've been wanting another WW style game (sailing, 3d, console, cel shaded, not PH) since I played WW, and they culd make an awesome new one with the Wii.

I hate the OP - I thought this was coming out x:
The only reason I'd like it is because they'd more than likely add some new things to the game.

Amen, bruther. Ninty gotten too obsessed with pleezing the noobs and the softcore and milking the Wiimote. They need to step up their game for those uv us whu hav been waiting for garbage knows how long for an epic new game. They need to get to wurk on new, epic games for their main franchises (Zelda included) instead uv popping out a new sumthing Mama title evry 5 weeks.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker
I can't really see how Wind Waker would be improved by adding Wii controls, so I don't think it'll be included in the New Play Control! series.
