All I see that they culd du iz make the Wind Waker controlled by motion. Or maybe actually swinging the nunchuk around for the grappling hook, but that might rezult in hurt eyes, broke controllers, and lawsuits.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker

While watching the hilarious comments ala "milking the cash cow" has been more than enough entertainment for me, I feel that I should add my two cents finally.

I, personally, wouldn't mind a New Play Control Wind Waker. OH NOES, says someone, IT'S POINTLESS. But I would like to see how they could pull it off. Using the Wind Waker (item) with the Wii Remote would be amusing, and TP has shown that "slapped on" Wii controls CAN work well on a GC title, regardless of what others say. I wouldn't mind waiting a bit, let the Wii Zelda and Spirit Tracks get some time, but honestly - a friggin' Wii remake isn't going to put the actual upcoming console title back a good few steps.

I don't own WW, so I could care less about how "pointless" it is for those who do own it and who're not interested in Wii controls. I wouldn't mind this, as long as it's pulled off the right way.

I totally agree.

If one does not yet own the game then obviously one would want a wii version over the original, depending of course on how well the controls are.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker

^^^

Wel, Im not saying I wuldnt enjoy a Wii updated WW. I luved that game! Id play sucha game 2 see wut they did tu it, but I stil think they need 2 put more creative energies towards nu games. I'd rather see a new WW style game (not like PH, tho) for the Wii than a remake, but I'll settel 4 anything after waiting so long for a nu Zelda game.

Maybe this culd be a side project 4 them 2 release later with better graphics.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker

As long as they add in the 2-3 canceled dungeons and whatever they had planned before they ditched it for the Triforce fetch quest and give the Great Sea an overhaul so there aren't so many small, pointless islands and more big, full islands, I think this would be a great idea.

Re: New Play Control! The Wind Waker

Actually I would definintly buy the Wind Waker again,
I've never played it and I think if it came out for wii it would be really good for me... so I won't have to get the memory card, and new features is always good

Hah hah. Yeah.

Also, Conducting with the Wiimote? That's a case where the controls would be BETTER suited to the Wiimote than a gamepad.

Also, anyone who thinks that Zelda fans are an "exploited fanbase" is off their rocker. Every Zelda title has been a solid release; this is supported by general reviews, if nothing else. From what I see, it is the Zelda fans themselves that ***** loudest about the newest iterations in the series.
